Ho Ho Ho

I have quick card this afternoon that I created using a new paper pad Lily Bee Christmas Cheer  and also a new There She Goes stamp, Ho Ho Ho. I don't buy that many stamps these days as but I couldn't resist the TSG sale. I generally followed this week's There She Goes sketch (TSG174) for the layout.

Products: There She Goes stamp, Lily Bee dp, May Arts ribbon, Kaisercraft pearl, The Cat's Pajamas CutUps, My Favorite Things Die-namics, Copic Markers
Copics: E000, E00, E01, E11, R20, R22, R24, R27, W00, E81, E53, E55, E57, C00, C1, C3

The card is cheery but the day is not. It's rainy/gloomy here and let's just say that my mood fits right in with the weather. I'll see you back here at midnight for the first of the All That Scraps previews.

Autumn Greetings

I have another card featuring some of the All That Scraps September release products that I needed to get on the blog before the October previews start on Monday. I used one of the ready made flash cards from the Simple Stories Harvest Lane for the main image and one of the journaling elements cut with the C.C. Designs Stamps Label Cutters die for a tag shape. I added a sentiment and image from the Thankful for Fall set onto the tag. The tree was cut using the C.C. Designs Spooky Tree Cutters. The ribbon is some older Ki Memories that's been in my stash for a long time. It matches the paper perfectly.

Products: C.C. Designs stamps and Cutters, Simple Stories dp, Ki Memories ribbon, PTI and Fancy Pants buttons, My Favorite Things Die-namics

I hope you your weekend is fabulous.

Warm and Sweet

Today's card features another C.C. Designs stamp left over from my All That Scraps Challenge team days which I never got around to using. I am working my way through my unused stamp bag slowly but surely and have actually made good progress. This cutie pie is Latte Kiki and I thought she went perfectly with the coffee cup  and sentiment from the Lil Inkers Designs Coffee Cozy Stamp and Die set. The Prima flower was in my stash for a while. As noted in a previous post I am trying to use more of my pre-made embellishments. I did cut out as much of the hard center as I could and then replaced it with a Doodlebug jewel. The paper is all from the Glitz Designs Cashmere Dame pad.

Products: C.C. Designs stamp, Lil Inkers Designs stamp and die, Glitz Designs dp, Prima flower, Doodlebug jewel, PTI button, Copic Markers
Copics: Skin-E000, E00, E11, R20; Hair-YR31, E51, E53; Clothing-BG0000, BG10, BG11, BG01, W00, E81, W1, RV0000, RV00, RV32, R35

This card along with some others can be found on the All That Scraps blog today.

And speaking of latte, I had my first Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte of the year last week. Delicious, as always and I am ready for another one.

The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

I have a card today using the last of the September Verve sketches (week 4). I am just barely getting this one in the nick of time. I new friend gave me a Echo Park Holly Jolly paper pad recently which was fantastic because I only had a few sheets left from the pad I bought last year. The stamp set is Winter Mittens and after coloring up with Copic markers I cut out with Spellbinders Nestabilities. The ruffled up ribbon was a piece left over from other projects.

Products: Verve stamp, Echo Park dp, Wilton paper doily, PTI button, Spellbinders Nestabilities, Copic Markers
Copics: B0000, B000, B01, B04, W00, E81, BG70, BG0000

I hope you've had a good week. Mine has been full of annoyances. My printer suddenly stopped printing over the network. I've done everything I can think of so I'm waiting on Epson now. Our phones are out again thanks to ATT. I am to the point when the repairman shows up I can just tell him which box to go to down the road!  And I have a wayward package that neither the post office are the company I ordered it from seem overly concerned about. Oh well, I guess things could be worse!

Sweet November Review

Today is review day on the All That Scraps blog and I am joining other members of the design team in showing you more projects using the September Sweet November release stamps.

Since this cute little guy is making off with a big fat pumpkin, I decided to repeat the pumpkin using the largest die in the Pumpkin Cutters to cut from patterned paper. The sentiment is from last months C.C. Designs Halloween Sentiments. I combined paper from the new Bo Bunny Double Dots Natural pad with My Mind's Eye Halloween paper from last year.

A Big Top Birthday (TCP Tuesday 229)

Today's card is for TCP Tuesday (TCPTUES229) which is Susan's Stamp/CutUps challenge to use any penquin image and either the Ticket or Ribbon Slide CutUps.

I combined several stamps from the Just Clownin' Around set as well as the Big Top and  Big Ticket CutUps to create a big top kind of birthday card.  The birthday sentiment is from the Simply Said set and was cut using the smallest of the pieces from the Circus Panels Cutups. All the paper is from the new My Mind's Eye Hootenanny 6x6 pad for a bright and happy color combo.

Products: The Cat's Pajamas stamps and CutUps, My Mind's Eye dp, Copic Markers
Copics: W00, E81, YR20, YR12, YR14,  B0000, B21, B23, Y11, Y13, Y15, R11, R14, R17

Matthew 11:28

I'm still working on the September Verve sketches and today's card is for week 3. I am using Verve's Matthew 11:28 as the centerpiece for a sympathy card.  I wanted to keep things clean and simple so I just added a bit of twill ribbon with a leaf stickpin as embellishments. The subdued colors of the Authentique Loyal papers adds to the somber theme.

Products: Verve Stamp, Authentique dp, Maya Road stickpin, Spellbinders Nestabilities

I hope all is well with you. Thank you so much for visiting.

Proverbs 31:28

I'm back today with another card based a Verve Sketch for September (week 1). I'm trying my best to get caught up with these. Since it is Sunday it seems appropriate to post a card using a bible verse and in this case, Proverbs 31:28. This is one of my favorite verses so you will see it again and again from me. I always think of my grandmother and sister when I read it. The paper is all from the My Mind's Eye Indie Chic Nutmeg 6x6 pad.

Products: Verve stamp, Verve A Cut Above dies, My Mind's Eye dp, My Favorite Things Die-namics, Heidi Swapp jewels, Wilton paper doily, PTI buttons

Enjoy Today

I have a sunshiny card for you today that I created for week 2 of this month's Verve Sketches although I flipped it to portrait style. The stamp is Verve Enjoy Life  and the patterned paper is from the My Mind's Eye Lost and Found 2 Sunshine pad.  I substituted the strip across the top with an embossed cloud border cut with The Cat's Pajamas Cloud Border CutUps and added a felt Felt Flower cut with the Flower Button CutUps also from The Cat's Pajamas to represent the sun. Matted pearls added a bit of interest to the paper strips.

Copics: YR30, YR31, Y21, Y23, Y35

Peace on Earth

Good morning and TGIF!

Today's card was created for the current Verve Diva Dare Fanspiration which was to create a project inspired by a fellow Verve fan (design team excluded). I was inspired by this card created by Megan, one my favorite card makers.

I decided to go in a different direction than Megan by making my project a Christmas card. I stamped a sentiment from the Verve Star of Wonder set cutting it out with a circle Spellbinders Nestabilities and using it as the centerpiece of the tag. I chose a background of shimmery paper although it is not that easy to see in the photograph and added pearls, clear jewels and white satin ribbon for a clean and simple look.

Products: Verve Stamp, Basic Grey and October Afternoon dp, May Arts ribbon, Basic grey jewels, The Cat's Pajamas snowflakes, Spellbinders Nestabilities

Have a great weekend. Thank you for stopping by.

Timeless

I completed this week's My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club sketch challenge (MFTWSC90) in record time which is highly unusual for me. But I confess I already had this card kitted up which is something I have started this week. I am using 8.5x11 page protectors to create my kits as I get ideas for stamp/paper combos, even choosing embellishments and cutting out diecuts in some cases. The stamp is MFT's Inspired by Travel set and I combined it with papers from Echo Park This and That Charming 6x6 pad. I am also on a campaign to use my pre-made embellishments much of which are leftover from my scrapbooking days. The chipboard clocks are older Heidi Swapp and the wood button is fairly new from Prima. It feels good to get a masculine card completed. I have some birthdays on the horizon and for once I won't be scrambling around trying to get one completed at the last minute.

Products: My Favorite Things stamp, Echo Park dp, Prima wood button, Heidi Swapp chipboard clocks, Doodlebug rub-ons, Spellbinders Nestabilities

We have been experiencing some wonderful weather here - it's cooler than usual yet the sunshine has been in abundance. I made a new batch of food for the feeder and the hummingbirds are practically attacking it. I hope it's nice in your neck of the woods too.

Daisy Girl

For today's card I used the current Sweet Sunday Sketch (SSSC167) for the layout although I flipped it to portrait style. The stamp is My Favorite Things P.I. Sunflower Girl but my turned out more more daisy-ish. I altered the image a bit by drawing in socks and long sleeves with a Copic Multiliner pen. The paper is all from the Echo Park For the Record 2 Tailored 6x6 pad.

Products: My Favorite Things stamp and Die-namics, Echo Park dp, May Arts ribbon, Craft Concepts embossing folder, Spellbinders Nestabilities, Copic Markers

Just for You (TCP Tuesday 228)

Today's card is for TCP Tuesday (TCPTUES228) which is a color challenge of Daffodil, Olive and Navy selected by our hostess, Lori.

I colored up Bearing Flowers, substituting the flower portion of the image with a flower cut with the Sunflower Rosette CutUps. I stamped the sentiment directly onto the patterned paper. A bit of Washi Tape slipped underneath the image and secured with a button and a row of matted pearls provided the finishing touches.

My card today featuring this week's My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club Sketch (MFTWSC89).  I used Merry Wishes which I think was my very first Pure Innocence stamp and combined it with the new My Mind's Eye Winter Wonderland 6x6 pad. For the cluster on the edge I cut a portion of a ticket using the C.C. Designs Ticket Cutters and then added a couple of small leaves cut with My Favorite Things Die-namics. C.C. Designs Review - Heidi with Kitty

Today is review day on the All That Scraps blog and I am joining other members of the design team in showing you more projects using the September release stamps and dies.

Today I have a fall card for you featuring the new C.C. Designs Heidi with Kitty. After coloring this cutie pie up I needed something for her to sit on.  The new Hay Cutters came to the rescue to make a bale of hay. I cut mine from kraft based patterned paper from My Mind's Eye and then inked around the edges using Tim Holtz Distress Ink (Vintage Photo). The sentiment is also new from this month's Farm Logos which was stamped with Memento Potters Clay and and cut with the new Bottle Cap Cutters. The acorns were cut from patterned paper and felt using the Acorn Set Cutters from a previous release. All the paper is from the Simple Stories Harvest Lane 6x6 pad.

Here is a close up of the assembled hay bale before I attached it to the card:
