The Cat's Pajamas Special Winter Blog Hop and Black Friday Sale
***If you are looking for my TCP Blog Hop/TCP Tuesday card, it is here. ***
First order of business is to let you know about The Cat's Pajamas Black Friday sale that is 6 days long this year. The new release is included in the sale also. How cool is that?
And continuing on with the good news.....starting today we will be having a month long Winter Blog Hop. And, you can play along. Just use anything TCP and then upload your card or project to the inlinkz button on the right side of the The Cat's Pajamas blog. On December 26 Alma will announce the winner of a $50 gift voucher. This is in addition to the regular TCP Tuesday which is also going on. That means you have two chances to win some Cat Cash.
Now for the two projects that I shared at The Cat's Pajamas release party on Monday night that I wanted to showcase on my blog as well.
First up is a card using the Home for All Seasons set. I first embossed a square Spellbinders Nestabilities onto the card base (my photography is not showing it off very well though!). I then stamped one of the house images onto Copics X-Press It blender card and then cut out with the matching Village CutUps which also embosses. I added some shading with Copic Markers and then stamped the small wreath onto a punched circle and placed it over the dormer window. I stamped the sentiment directly onto the card base using Simon Says Schoolhouse Red ink and added a few sequins for a clean and simple card.
Products: The Cat's Pajamas stamps and CutUps, PTI cs, Verve sequins, Spellbinders Nestabilities, Simon Says ink, Copic Markers
Copics: W00, E81, R22, R24
For my second card, I started out by creating the fabulous oversized snowflake with the new Double Snowflake CutUps. I cut the larger one from white cardstock and then cut the smaller one twice, one from gold mirrored cardstock and the other one from white card stock. I layered them together with glue and a dimensional dot between the two smaller ones and then topped with a sequin and rhinestone. I stamped the sentiment from the All is Bright set onto a banner shape and then embossed it down to the sentiment with a Cuttlebug Embossing Folder, adding a strip of mirrored cardstock to separate the two areas. I attached the snowflake to the banner and layered onto the background panel. All the patterned paper came from Lawn Fawn Peace Joy Love pad.
Products: The Cat's Pajamas stamp and CutUps, Lawn Fawn dp, PTI cs, Recollections gold cs, Cuttlebug Embossing folder, Simon Says ink
Thanks for stopping by. Happy Thanksgiving to all my USA friends!

{The Cat's Pajamas Sneak Peek} Handmade for You
Welcome to another day of The Cat's Pajamas sneak peeks. We are showcasing the new Handmade for You set today.
I created a card and small gift bag as a "neighbor" gift for the holidays. I stamped the sentiment from the Handmade for You set using Ranger Vermillion Archival ink and then cut with Spellbinders Nestabilities. I combined it with one of the house images from the Home for All Seasons set which was stamped onto Copics X-Press It blender card and then cut out with the matching Village CutUps. I clustered the stamped pieces with a patterned paper background piece, a red and white strip cut with the Chevron Cutables, the heart shaped key hole cut with a die from the Key to My Heart CutUps and a trio of Doodlebug enamel dots.
I used one of the food grade 4x6 Cotton Muslin Drawstring Bags that Alma is carrying now to make a matching gift bag. I started out by cutting a stencil with my Silhouette using the Chevron Cutables and a Stencil Blank. I inserted a piece of card stock inside the bag so ink would not bleed through to the back side, laid the stencil over the front and inked the open chevrons with Studio Calico Lime Light ink using the Ranger Mini Ink Blending Tool. For the tag, I stamped the sentiment from the Handmade for You set and then cut with Spellbinders Nestabilities. I cut a tag shape with one of the dies from the Luggage Tag CutUps from Limeade Ice card stock and attached the sentiment to it anchored with a button. I tied the tag to the bag with a ribbon bow. Easy and so fun to make.
Products: The Cat's Pajamas stamps, Cutables and Muslin bag, PTI cs and button, Michael's ribbon, Maya Road stick pin, Ranger Archival and Studio Calico inks

{The Cat's Pajamas Sneak Peek} Pray for Snow
It's another day of TCP Sneak Peeks. The fabulous penguins are back with the Pray for Snow set. Now living in Alabama, I really do have to pray hard for snow because it is a rare occurrence here. We get excited when even a few flakes start falling, never mind that it usually isn't even cold enough to stick to the ground.
I have two cards today, both are 4.25 square and were created with card stock and patterned papers from the Carta Bella Merry & Bright pad.
For the first one, I colored the skating penguin with Copic Markers and then fussy cut out. I prepared the background with patterned paper to represent the sky and then cut a snowy landscape with one of the dies from the Holiday Toppers CutUps. I also added a "pond" with another one of the dies from the same set and then placed the penguin onto it attaching with dimensional dots. I created the fabulous oversized snowflake with the also new Double Snowflake CutUps. I cut the larger one from patterned paper and the smaller one from white card stock. I also used the smaller die to cut one from silver glitter card stock, trimming the points off of it plus I kept the cutouts intact. To assemble, I glued the white and silver pieces together then placed atop the larger piece with dimensional dots. An enamel dot finished it up. The sentiment was stamped directly onto the "snow bank" using Stampin' Up Strawberry Slush ink.
For the second card, I used the skiing penguin also coloring with Copic Markers and fussy cutting out. I created the background circle with a die from the Holiday Toppers CutUps and Spellbinders Nestabilities. I used the Dots Plate to emboss a border panel and the 3x3 Stars CutUps to create two stars from glittery card stock. The sentiment was stamped onto a patterned paper circle. The penguin and stars were attached with dimensional tape. I embellished with messy silver thread and a few Doodlebug enamel dots.
Products: The Cat's Pajamas stamps and CutUps, Carta Bella dp, PTI cs, American Crafts Glitter cs Doodlebug enamel dots, Copic Markers
Copics: Skating Penguin-W00, E81, YR30, YR31, R32, R35, R37; Skiing Penguin-W00, E81, YR30, YR31, YG0000, YG01, YG03, C00, C1, C3

{The Cat's Penguins Sneak Peek} All is Bright
Welcome to Day 3 of The Cat's Pajamas sneak peeks. We are showcasing the new All is Bright set today which features the ever popular big eared bunny.
I started out by coloring the bun bun up with Copic Markers and then fussy cut out. I fired up the Silhouette to cut the card base from white card stock using the also new Triple Side Step Card Cutables and the mats from Aqua Mist card stock. I hand cut the patterned paper mats and the white card stock mat upon which I stamped the sentiment. I used a cut file from the Silhouette store to create the Christmas tree, cutting it four times from card stock and once from patterned paper, stacking and gluing them together. I added the glittery star at the top cut using the 3x3 Stars CutUps and then attached the bunny with dimensional dots. The sentiment on the lowest step, birds on a wire cut with The Birds CutUps on the second step and more 3x3 Stars CutUps on the last one. All the patterned paper came from the Lawn Fawn Snow Day pad.
