I have been in full on organizing and clean up mode ever since we wrapped up the latest The Cat's Pajamas release and really haven't taken the time to make anything new. Instead I am sharing one of the two projects that I showed to the attendees of the pre-release Facebook Pajama Party on Monday night.

I stamped the three different birds from the Take Flight set using Mango, Coastal Cabana and Calypso Coral inks and then cut out with the matching Bird Friends dies. I combined them with patterned papers from the My Mind's Eye A Mother's Love pad, stamping the sentiment from The Tweetest Things set directly onto the background rectangle using Sour Apple ink. I attached the birds on top of a double-ended fishtail banner using dimensional dots and then  added a cloud cut with the new Stitched Fly die topped with an enamel dot.

{The Cat's Pajamas New Release Blog Hop and TCP Tuesday}

I used the Take Flight set once again. I stamped one of the birds with Blueberry ink and a bird house with Daffodil Delight and then cut out with the matching Bird Friends and Birdhouses dies. I cut the frame from Blueberry cardstock using the Stitched Fly CutUps twice, cut out the word and then glued them together for more dimension. I attached to a patterned paper backing from the American Crafts True Stories pad. I stamped the sentiment inside it and then added the bird and birdhouse using foam tape.

I have two more cards to show you today using these cute new images.

I stamped Bubbly and Rockets onto a rectangle cut with a Lil Inker Designs stitched die and the colored with Copic Markers. I prepared the background with patterned paper from the Simple Stories Say Cheese pad then attached the image piece to it using dimensional dots. I slipped a tab cut with a MFT die underneath the image piece topping it with a small star cut with the The Cat's Pajamas 3x3 Star CutUps.

For card #2 I couldn't really decide if I wanted an everyday type color or go all out with a Valentine-ish theme but when I started thumbing through my patterned papers I found a left over piece from another project from the Simple Stories I Am pad. It was already cut on the diagonal so I trimmed it to fit the panel and added a thin border at the top. I prepared the background using a Darice embossing folder. After stamping the Bee Mine image onto a white Neenah cardstock circle I colored with Copic Markers and attached to the background with dimensional tape. The sentiment from the Sweet Occasions Sentiment set was stamped onto a white cardstock strip and layered over the heart in the patterned paper.

{The Cat's Pajamas Sneak Peeks} Spotlight on Cutables

It's the last day of The Cat's Pajamas sneak peeks. The Pajama Party is tonight and right after that the party the new stamps, dies and cutables will be available for purchase.

Today we are spotlighting the two new Cutables for this release. This includes the Shadow Box Cutables as well as the new Tri-Shutter Card Cutables.

I used the the Shadow Box Cutables with my Silhouette, cuting the back from white cardstock and the front from Spring Rain cardstock, I cut out the image panel using one of the dies from the Framed Up 2 Cutups which is also a bit larger than the opening of the card front. After stamping the image from the new Constellation Prize set I colored with Copics. I added clouds and stars cut with a combination of the new Stitched Clouds CutUps (which is the free set with a $65 purchase), the clouds from the Stitched Fly CutUps and the 3x3 Stars CutUps, attaching them to the panel with foam tape. I added a few buttons in various places and then secured the panel to the back with card base with craft foam. I cut out the largest cloud in the Stitched Clouds CutUps from white cardstock and patterned paper and stamped the sentiment onto the white one. After attaching to the card base front I added a couple of more stars.

I also included a couple of clouds, a star and another sentiment on the back card base and then attached the front and back card bases together using double sided tape.

{The Cat's Pajamas Sneak Peeks} Spotlight on CutUps

I'm back with another The Cat's Pajamas sneak peeks. Today The Cat Pack are spotlighting the new CutUps for this release.

Since I adore the Take Flight stamp set I decided to use it again. I cut the Stitched Fly CutUps twice and then glued them together and then added a patterned paper backing from the Kaisercraft Shine On pad. I stamped the sentiment inside it and then attached to the background panel. The scallop underneath actually came as part of the paper pad. I stamped one of the birds using Simon Says Black ink and then cut out with the matching Bird Friends die. I also cut a star from the 3x3 Stars CutUps from white cardstock and wrapped with gold thread. Both the bird and star were attached using foam tape and I finished it up with a few enamel dots.

Deepest Sympathy

Today's card is for the Viva la Verve May Week 4 sketch. 

I used this week's sketch to add to my sympathy card stash. This was a quick one for me since I already had the flowers stamped and colored just waiting for an opportunity to use on a project. The flowers from the Verve Framed Florals set were stamped onto watercolor paper and then cut out with the matching Bluebells die. I used Peerless Watercolors to color the flowers, first with a light blue and then added purple over the blue in a messy manner for a two toned look. I stamped the sentiment with the Deepest Sympathy Plain Jane stamp, slipping two fishtail banners from gray patterned paper scraps underneath it before attaching to the background. The image was attached using dimensional dots and I added a trio of enamel dots around the sentiment.

I stamped the Pond image onto Neenah cardstock and cut out a portion of it with a My Favorite Things Pierced die. I also stamped the Clouds at the top, then colored the image with Copic Markers. The new True and Blue ducklings were stamped onto Copics X-Press It cardstock, colored with Copics and then fussy cut out. I attached them to the pond scene using dimensional dots. and added a flourish cut with The Cat's Pajamas Heart Swirl CutUps. I stamped the sentiment from the Sweet Occasion Sentiments set onto patterned paper then cut out with a Stampin' Up punch. The image and sentiment piece were both attached to the background panel with foam tape. A scattering of enamel dots provided the finishing touch. All the patterned paper came from the Echo Park For the Record 2 pad.

For my second card, the cardbase was cut from Blueberry cardstock and the circle from white cardstock using a Lil Inker Designs stitched die. I clustered together leaves at the bottom cut from patterned papers from the Lawn Fawn Sweater Weather pad using dies from the Lawn Fawn Stitched Leaves set. Cinnamon was colored with Copic Markers, fussy cut out, and then nestled in the leaves. I stamped the sentiment onto a small tag using Blueberry ink, added a small Hemptique cord bow, placing a couple more small leaves underneath it. A scattering of Doodlebug enamel dots finished it up.

{The Cat's Pajamas Sneak Peek} Take Flight

The Cat Pack are back with another The Cat's Pajamas sneak peek. Today we are showcasing the new Take Flight set.

Although I adore coloring with Copics I also just like to stamp and go sometimes. Take Flight is another modern, graphic set along the same concept as the Patterned Petals in the last release. I had so much fun playing with this set that I've made 5 cards one of which I am featuring today.


I stamped one of the birds with Rose Bud ink and a bird house with Daffodil Delight and Sour apple inks and then cut out with the matching Bird Friends and Birdhouses dies. For the image panel I cut a frame using a die from the Framed Up 2 set and the center from some older Echo Park patterned paper. I prepared the background panel with a border from even older October Afternoon patterned paper, then attached the image piece to it, adding the bird house to the center with foam tape and the bird perched atop the frame. The small heart centered with an enamel dot was cut from one of the other birdhouses. The sentiment was stamped directly onto the background. I rounded three of the corners of the card base with a Corner Chomper.

{The Cat's Pajamas Sneak Peek} In Shape

We are back with another The Cat's Pajamas sneak peeks. Today we are showcasing the new In Shape set.

The set is worth it for the sentiments alone! They crack me up. I can so relate to the one I used on this card. I stamped the bunny image onto a piece cut with the matching free Cutables that Alma provides with each release and then colored with Copic Markers. I cut the image background from patterned paper from the Studio Calico Atlantic paper pad and twice more onto plain cardstock. I glued them all together and than attached them to them to the panel for a bit of dimension without the bulk. I stamped the sentiment directly onto it and attached image with foam tape. I used a die from the Flower Button CutUps to cut from Harvest Gold cardstock to represent the sun and a cloud from the Stitched Clouds CutUps (which is the free set with a $65 purchase) from white cardstock. I attached to the panel with foam tape and then added some enamel dots for a visual triangle.
