May Your Home Be Filled with Joy

I have another project featuring a stamp from the new Stacey Yacula Snowflake Grove collection.

I colored the Treehouse image with Copic Markers onto a square background. I then colored one of the gnomes from the Emmett and Emerson set, fussy cutting him out and then placing him in the scene with foam tape. The sentiment from the  new Snowflake Grove Sentiment set was stamped directly onto the panel. After inking the edges of the patterned paper background with Ranger Distress Gathered Twigs ink, I attached the image panel to it then added a couple of wood veneer embellishments.

This is also the last day for The Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring Challenge and I am happy to say that I am 30 for 30! A huge thank you to Kathy for running such a fabulous challenge. Not only did I complete my Halloween and Thanksgiving cards, I also got a head start on Christmas cards. And as an added bonus I have quite a few Christmas images for future cards!

Meadow {New Purple Onion Designs Snowflake Grove by Stacey Yacula}

I have another project featuring a stamp from the new Stacey Yacula Snowflake Grove collection.

I first created the watercolor background with Blueberry Sky ink allowing to dry in between additional layers of color. I then dropped water on it to represent a snowy day. The sentiment from the new Snowflake Grove Sentiment set was stamped directly onto the background. I colored Meadow with Copic Markers, adding a few pin dots with a white Gelly Roll pen. After fussy cutting out I attached to the watercolor background with foam tape. I wrapped twine around the image piece and then attached it to the card base for a clean and simple card.

It's time for another TCP Tuesday at The Cat's Pajamas with an "Anything Goes" challenge. The challenge runs for two weeks and The Cat’s Pajamas stamps are not required.

After stamping the two snowmen from the Let the Flakes Fly set onto a circle cut with Spellbinders Nestabilities, I added some lines on both snow dude's scarves and a line for snow with a Copics Multiliner pen and then colored with Copic markers. The image pieced was attached to the patterned paper background with craft foam. I stamped the sentiment from the Joy to the World set directly onto the background with Versafine Onyx ink. Introducing the New "Snowflake Grove" by Stacey Yacula {Purple Onion Designs}

You may have seen a few hints on Instagram but today is the official release day for the new Stacey Yacula Studio "Snowflake Grove" collection.

The collection is available TODAY in the Purple Onion Designs shop.  There is special pricing of a flat $100 for the entire Snowflake Grove 30 stamp collection until November 4. Of course you can also purchase individually.  Now onto my card of the day.

After stamping the Merry Background onto kraft cardstock using Versamark ink, I heat embossed with white embossing powder. I then cut a tag from Neenah Solar White cardstock and first stamped the sentiment from the new Holiday Marquee set using Catkin ink. I then used a Stamp-A-Ma-Jig to help position Forrest (hedgehog) on top of the "j". I popped the tag back in the die, cutting it shorter and then cut another full size one from patterned paper. After coloring with Copic markers I attached the two tags together with a seam binding/twine/button combo. The stamped background was attached with craft foam and after securing the tag to it I added a small silver snowflake.

Today's card is my last Halloween project for this year.

After stamping the two pumpkins, leaf and curly vine from the Lawn Fawn So Thankful set I cut out with the matching So Thankful Lawn Cuts and colored with Copic Markers. I used a Lil Inker Designs stitched mat to cut a circle from patterned paper and a layer of craft foam. The cutout was backed with more patterned paper and I placed the two pumpkins inside the circle and then attached the piece to the card base. The ghosts were cut using the Memory Box Swirling Ghosts die. The sentiment from the Reverse Confetti Spooky Sentiments was stamped directly onto the background piece and I added a few sequins for simple embellishments.

Tag You're It Challenge #33

Good morning. I am honored to be guest designing for the Tag You're It Challenge #33 today. Here is the fun challenge piece.

I was inspired by the folded style of the tag. I first cut the tag from white cardstock using the Papertrey Ink Basic Bookmark #2 making it longer than the size of the die.

I scored the tag in two places to create three different sections and then stamped the fence from the Reverse Confetti Spooky Cuties set with Smoky Slate ink on the bottom section. The cat from the same set was stamped onto the fence with the head portion over onto the next fold using Versafine Onyx Black ink. After stamping the sentiment from the Reverse Confetti Spooky Sentiments set using Orange Fizz ink on the middle section, I used a Fiskars Fingertip craft knife to cut around the head portion of the cat so when the tag was folded it would pop up. The spider web was cut from gold mirrored cardstock using a die from the Paper Smooches Halloween Icons set and attached to the top section along with the patterned paper topper. I then stamped a couple of small spiders from The Cat's Pajamas Vintage Halloween set onto the first and second section using Sour Apple ink.

Products: Reverse Confetti stamps, The Cat's Pajamas stamp, Doodlebug dp, Recollections mirrored cs, PTI cs and button, Paper Smooches die,  MFT, Stampin' Up and Versafine inks

I colored all images with Copic markers and then arranged them onto a circle cut with a Lil Inker Designs stitched mat - attaching some of the images with foam tape. I stamped the sentiment onto a patterned paper background and then cut the textured cardstock background with The Cat's Pajamas He Said She Said die. The image circle was attached with a layer of craft foam.

Merry and Bright

I am really mixing up my holidays these days. I seem to alternate between Halloween and Christmas, two holidays that couldn't possibly be more different!

I first stamped the doodle frame from the Lawn Fawn Sweater Weather set with Black ink onto a white cardstock rectangle cut with a Lil Inker Designs Stitched Mat. I then used the matching die from the Sweater Weather Lawn Cuts to emboss the frame. I then stamped the tree using Sour Apple ink and the bunny (both from the Lawn Fawn Snow Day set) onto Copics X-Press It cardstock and cut both out using the matching Snow Day Lawn Cuts. After coloring the bunny with Copic Markers, I attached both to the frame using craft foam which I also cut with the matching dies. The sentiment was stamped directly to the panel with Vermillion ink. After attaching the matted panel to the card base I added a few jewels and tied lime green cording on the side.

Products: Lawn Fawn stamps and dies, PTI and MFT cs, Hemptique cord, Kaisercraft jewels,  Simon Says, MFT and Ranger Archival inks, Lil Inker Designs die, Copic Markers

Just a Note

Good morning. Today's post will have to be short and sweet because I have a doctors appointment this morning.

I used the Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Duo 3 die set to cut a tag from watercolor paper. I left all the squares in the diecut and stamped the flower bud, stem, extra leaf and sentiment from the WPlus9 Doodle Buds set with Versafine ink and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder. After watercoloring the images with Zig Clean Color Brush markers, I removed the square in the center of the flower. I then popped it up with foam tape for a "spotlight" effect. I attached to the finished pieced to the prepared background panel using craft foam. A trio of sequins from the Nature Mix finished it up.

Here is a closeup view of the flower center.

Products: WPlus9 stamps, Doodlebug dp, Strathmore Watercolor cs, PTI cs,  Pretty Pink Posh sequins and dies, Versafine ink, Zig Clean Color Brush Watercolors

I am still working on Halloween cards which are some of my favorite holiday cards to make. They are just fun and sill and all of them go to my grandchildren and grand nieces and nephews.

I used the Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Film Strip die to cut from white Neenah and black cardstock. I stamped three of the images from the sweet Mama Elephant Bootastic set onto the white squares and colored with Copic markers. I inserted them back into the film strip diecut and added it to the card base with craft foam along with a strip of patterned paper. I stamped the bats and the sentiment directly onto the card base using Versafine ink and then added a couple of sequins for a tall, skinny CAS card.

Jingle All the Way

Today's project is for the current Tag You're It (#32) Challenge. I can't resist Santa!!

To create a shaker tag used the Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Duo 1 die set to cut two tags from Neenah Solar White and Limeade Ice cardstock and a rectangular Spellbinders Nestie to create the cut out from the top (green tag). I stamped one of the Santas and the tree from the My Favorite Things Jingle All the Way set and colored with Copic Markers. The sentiment was stamped partially on the outside tag and finished up on the inside tag. I sandwiched everything together with craft foam and a piece of acetate for the window, filling the inside with beads and sequins.  I topped the tag with the bow cut from red cardstock using the Pretty Pink Posh Twine and Bows set.

I added the tag to the card base which was prepared with patterned paper and the twine portion of the Twine and Bow die set.

I stamped the largest pumpkin from the Lawn Fawn So Thankful set, cut out with the matching So Thankful die and then colored with Copic Markers. I cut the tag from a Reverse Confetti Quick Panel card using the Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Duo 3 die. The sentiment was already printed on the card. It is still one of my favorite Halloween paper pads. I added a couple of ghosts cut with the Memory Box Swirling Ghosts Die and then sponged around the edges with Soft Stone ink.
