Let's Go Fishing {Purple Onion Designs}

Today's masculine card features stamps from Purple Onion Designs.

I stamped the Stacey Yacula Pond image onto Neenah cardstock and then cut a portion of it using a Spellbinders Nestabilities circle and then colored with Copic markers. After masking the hill and pond, I added some clouds by sponging around The Cat's Pajamas Cloud Border die. I stamped Oscar (fox) and Fishing Pole, also colored with Copic Marker then fussy cut out. To create the scene, I added a tree cut with Paper Smooches Tree 1 die with leaves cut with The Cat's Pajamas Rolled Nest CutUps. I used a craft knife to insert the pole into Oscar's hands and then attached with dimensional dots. The image was then adhered to the patterned paper background cut with a Lil Inker Designs Stitched die. A trio of double sequins were added as embellishments.

The second larger tag was cut from patterned paper from the Pebbles Family Ties pad. The sentiment from the Homegrown Sentiment set was stamped directly onto the tag background. {The Cat's Pajamas} TCP Tuesday Color Challenge

It's TCP Tuesday challenge time at The Cat's Pajamas and we have a color challenge for this two week rotation.

I broke out the butterflies for these springlike colors. I started out by cutting a butterfly cutout on the main panel with largest die from the Butterflies CutUps. I placed the green patterned paper underneath the cutout and stamped the small image from the Flutter By set across the butterfly wing and then also the sentiment from the same set with purple ink. After attaching the main panel to the background using dimensional dots I placed another butterfly cut with a die from the Mini Exotic Butterflies set in the center of the cutout. I added two more tiny butterflies cut with the Butterflies CutUps matted with enamel dots.

Products: The Cat's Pajamas stamps and CutUps, Avery Elle dp, PTI, MFT and Bazzill cs, Doodlebug enamel dots, Studio Calico ink

Hello There

Today's card is for the current Color Throwdown Challenge(CTD329). I pulled out The Cat's Pajamas Joyride set which had not seen any ink in a while, colored the image with Copic Markers and then fussy cut out. I stamped the two sentiments onto pieces cut with the Talk to Me CutUps (one of the sentiments came from the Catch My Drift set). I used the Dots CutUps plate to emboss the lime green background piece, added a strip of red and white chevron and then attached the stamped pieces with dimensional tape. It looked a bit bare to me so I added a couple of matted sequins to finish it up.

Products: The Cat's Pajamas stamps and CutUps, Avery Elle and Simple Stories dp, PTI cs, Doodlebug sequins, Spellbinders Nestabilities, Copic Markers
Copics: Bunny-E50, E51, E53, B0000, B000, B01; Scooter-R22, R24, R27, YR30, YR31, C00, C1,C3

Last week was slow both personal and crafty wise. I was in a Contac Cold&Flu coma for a couple of days. I was suddenly taken with a cold and felt so bad that I didn't even get out of my pajamas for a couple of days and nights. I'm feeling human again now. Unfortunately my strength hasn't returned but it will get there soon. I hope all is well with you. Have a great rest of the weekend.

Have a Great Day {Purple Onion Designs}

Today's card is for Purple Onion Designs featuring two images I had in my stash before I became a design team member. They were part of a group of my first Stacey Yacula stamps.

I stamped Freckles onto Copic X-press It cardstock cut with a Lil Inker Designs Stitched die. After masking the frog, I then stamped the Toadstool. I drew in another grassy area for the frog to sit with a Copic Multiliner pen and then colored the images with Copic Markers. I love whimsical stamps so I wanted to add to the fun with decidely unrealistic colors. The image piece was adhered to Raspberry Fizz cardstock panel using dimensional tape. The sentiment from the Homegrown Sentiment set was stamped onto Berrylicious cardstock cut with MFT Jumbo Fishtail Stax and then another smaller one cut from Raspberry Fizz .

Products: Purple Onion Designs stamps, Doodlebug dp, PTI cs, Lil Inker Designs and MFT dies, Copic Markers

Thanks So Very Much (Proverbs 31:28)

I am so glad that the Viva la Verve sketches are back for February (VLVFEB2015). They took a break in January and I have to say that I have been missing my Verve stamps.

The sketch provided me with the opportunity to create a thank you card for our Discipleship Minister.  She leads the  Disciple 1 classes at church which is required before joining and I want to give her a thank you card at the last session.

I stamped the sentiment from the Verve Scripture Medley 3 set onto a circle and then added a strip of small rhinestones, attaching to the panel with dimensional tape. I also stamped the sentiment from the Making a Statement set onto the fishtail banner piece. I then covered up a portion of the stamped sentiment with a tag cut with a die from the My Favorite Things Tag Talk die set. I finished the tag with a baker's twine bow. I flipped the sketch to a vertical aspect rather than horizontal for the layout and used patterned papers from three different pads, Pink Paislee Bella Rouge, My Mind's Eye Be Amazing and Studio Calico Brighton Pier.

Products: Verve stamps, Pink Paislee, MME and Studio Calico dp, PTI cs and button, Divine Twine, Bazzill cs, Heidi Swapp jewels, MFT and Reverse Confetti dies, Simon Says ink

That's a wrap for today. I hope to see you back here soon.

I stamped the Puddles image, colored with Copic Markers and then fussy cut out. I cut the tag with the Reverse Confetti Square Tag die and then stamped the Grass with Stampin' Up Gumball Green ink. I placed the dog image onto the tag using dimensional dots and then added a ribbon bow in the tag hole. The sentiment from the Homegrown Sentiment set was stamped directly onto the background panel. After attaching the tag to the panel, I added a couple of wood veneer hearts. As you can see, no patterned paper was harmed in the making of this card.

Filled with Love

I have a love filled card today using the February (#21) Sketch For You To Try for the layout and the colors, patterns and theme from the Curtain Call Kissing Booth Challenge.

I replaced the square in the sketch with a rectangle cut with the Straight Stripes Pretty Panels die. I threaded a strip of chevron patterned paper through it and then layered it onto the prepared background panel. After stamping the image from the Reverse Confetti Roundabout Additions set, I cut out with a piece from the Circles 'n Scallops Confetti Cuts. I placed it onto the panel with dimensional dots and then added a heart cut with a die from Love Note Confetti Cuts and a couple of sequins topped with pearls. I slipped in another heart at the top of the pretty panels.

Products: Reverse Confetti stamp and dies, Fancy Pants and Doodlebug dp, PTI and Bazzill cs, Doodlebug sequins and pearls, Simon Says ink

Have a great day! I hope to see you back here soon!

You Make Me Smile

Today's card is for the Paper Smooches Sparks "Anything Goes" challenge.

I cut two tags from yellow paper and white card stock using the Tag Stitched Die and then stamped the sentiment from the from the We Totally Click directly onto the white tag. After coloring the polaroid camera image from the same set with Copic Markers, I fussy cut out and attached it to the tag using dimensional dots. I just found out there are matching dies for this set so I immediately put them on my with list. I like to fussy cut but not graphic type designs. After preparing the card panel using strips of patterned paper from the American Crafts Plus One pad, I attached the tag set and added a scattering of enamel dots for another clean and simple design.

Products: Paper Smooches stamps and die, American Craft dp, PTI and Bazzill cs, Divine Twine, My Mind's Eye enamel dots, MFT die, Copic Markers
Copics: W00, W1, W2, W5, E81, Y0000, Y11, Y13, Y15

{The Cat's Pajamas} TCP Tuesday Anything Goes Challenge

It's TCP Tuesday challenge time at The Cat's Pajamas and we have an "Anything Goes" challenge for this two week rotation.

We will shortly have some new next door neighbors moving in next door so I wanted to have a card ready to welcome them to the neighborhood. I started out by using the Basic PopUp CutUps to cut the inside of the card. In keeping with the new home theme, I decorated the front of the card using a paint chip strip that I cut into two pieces in order to fit on the 4/25 square card base and then cut out the house number from crimped cardstock using the Numbers Plate, attaching to the paint chip squares. I placed a gold keyhole on dimensional dots in the center cut with the Key to My Heart CutUps.

For the inside, I stamped the house from the Home for All Seasons set onto gray cardstock, cut out with the matching Village CutUps, then attached it to the back "ledge ". The frontage was cut from patterned paper using a combination of two dies from the Holiday Toppers CutUps. I added the sentiment from the Home for All Seasons set onto a label cut with a die from the Fancy Flip set. Another sentiment from the And Baby Makes Three set was stamped directly onto the card base.

Products: The Cat's Pajamas stamps and CutUps, Fancy Pants dp, Recollections mirrored gold cs, MFT cs and ink,

Sending Smiles

I used the colors from the current Color Throwdown (#327) Challenge to create today's card.

I cut the tag from plain white cardstock using the Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Duo tag then stamped the images from the Mama Elephant Up and Away set onto it. I also stamped the balloons separately and then colored all images with Copic Markers. After fussy cutting out the balloons, I attached to the tag with dimensional dots. The tag was attached with a combo of dimensional dots and Hemptique twill and I finished it up with a few Doodlebug enamel dots. I generally followed the Retro Sketches #151 for the layout.
