Wishing You Warmth {Purple Onion Designs}

I am back with another card created with Purple Onion Designs stamps.

I used images from our newest illustrator @Julian Charlton Happy Winter Forest Friends set to create a masculine winter scene. I colored all the images with Copic markers then fussy cut out. After stamping the sentiment from the set at the bottom of the card front I also stamped the largest tree from the @Julian Charlton  Silhouettes-Twin Trees set twice using simply chartreus ink. I then added a cardstock border over the sentiment and attached all the images using foam dots.

You are Not Alone

I have had these two images from the Reverse Confetti Butterfly Blossoms set stamped and cut with the matching dies for quite a while so I thought it time I used them on a card.

After coloring the images with Copic markers, I prepared an image panel by embossing a linen cardstock piece with the Stitched Burst Cover Panel. I then stamped the sentiment onto another linen cardstock piece cut with a die from the Lacy Scallop Circles which I matted with simply chartreuse circle.

Products: Reverse Confetti stamps and dies, PTI cs, Altenew ink, Copic Markers
Copics: Butterfly Inner Wings-BG000, BG01, BG02; Butterfly Outer Wings-YR30, YR31, N1, N3; Florals-RV10, RV11, RV13, Y000, Y11, Y15 Y17; Greenery-YG01, YG03, YG25

Howdy {Purple Onion Designs}

A good Sunday morning to you. I have been neglecting my Purple Onion Designs stamp so far this year so it's about time I remedied that. Let me just say that it has been a very busy year so far so crafting has been rather hit or miss for me.

Today's card is a super simple one. I stamped the Spring Fence image partially off the Neenah cardstock and two of the chicks from Flo, Mo & Bo plus the sentiment from the Carnival/Fair Blurbs set all using espresso truffle ink. I then stamped Billy (goat) onto Copics X-Press It cardstock. All were colored with Copic markers and I fussy cut out the goat which was then attached with foam dots for dimension. A few enamal dots added a dash of color to match the goat's bowtie. The image panel was attached to a simply chartreuse card base.

Products: Purple Onion Designs stamps, PTI cs, MFT die, Doodlebug enamel dots, Memento ink, Copic Markers
Copics: Chicks-YR30, YR31, Y17; Fence-E30, E33, E35; Goat-W00, E81, W1, W2, W5, R00, R20, R22, R27; Grass-G20, G21; Sky-BG0000

I am submitting this to the AAA Cards: CAS Game #159 .

Have a blessed Sunday!

Leave It

I have a Faith Friday card today using a sketch from the Sweet 'n Sassy VIP Facebook Group.

I  stamped the image from the Leave It Single set onto soft stone cardstock and then cut out with a pierced circle. I then stamped the leave portion again onto Copics X-Press It cardstock, colored with Copic markers and fussy cut out. The leaf piece was attached using foam dots. After attaching the circle piece to an embossed woodgrain background, I added three small patterned paper banners at the top left corner.

Have a great weekend.

{Reminder} February TCP Tuesday Challenge

Today's project is a reminder card for the February TCP Tuesday Challenge at The Cat's Pajamas. The challenge is to use your Stencils and you have until the end of the month to submit a project for a chance at a $50 gift voucher to the store. The Cat's Pajamas has some outstanding stencils but you do not have to use a TCP product to participate.

After stamping the image and the sentiment from the Splish Splash set onto Neenah cardstock, I masked the image and used the Great Outdoors stencil to sponge on the clouds in bright buttercup and peacock feathers. I cut out the image with a pierced die and then attached to the card front using a layer of craft foam.

Encouragement/Inspirational Valentines Tags

I hope everyone is having a great Valentines weekend. Today I am sharing some encouragement/inspirational type Valentines tags I created for a special group of women in a ministry I am involved with. No doubt I enjoy creating but for this occasion I have to ask myself, am I doing this for God's glory or my own? Definitely something to ponder but in the meantime I guess I will just keep creating until I figure it out.

In order to complete in the least amount of time, I spent one afternoon stamping, diecutting (no time for fussy cutting) and coloring the images with Copic markers. The stamped and diecut images came from the Reverse Confetti Huggable set and matching dies, Birdie Buddies set and diesMiso Happy set and dies and Mama Elephant Fuzzy Hugs and dies. The next afternoon, I cut all the tags from white cardstock limiting myself to the same My Favorite Things Gift Tag die set. The tag hole reinforcements were all cut from the same red cardstock and I added a bit of patterned paper for each tag also limiting myself to three different pads. Sentiments and images were added from the above sets as well as the Reverse Confetti Word Up, Mama Elephant Mini Messages and Technique Tuesday Planner stamps.

Products: Reverse Confetti, Mama Elephant and dies, Technique Tuesday stamps, Reverse Confetti, Studio Calico and Illustrated Faith dp, Doodlebug enamel hearts, Divine Twine, My Favorite Things die, Altenew and PTI ink, Copic Markers

Before adding the images with foam dots, I stamped the back of each tag with a bible verse or inspiration message using stamps from Reverse Confetti, Papertrey Ink, Rubbernecker, Joy Clair and Verve (retired). These tags were attached to a single long stemmed rose.

I am submitting the Reverse Confetti tags to the February Stock Your Stash Challenge.

Have a great rest of the weekend!

Hope

It's another Faith Friday today, although I realize now that the faith stamp (from my much loved Verve collection) is the inside greeting. It is Hebrews 11:1. Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

I stamped the Altenew Peony Spray flower and sentiment onto a stitched linen cardstock piece, then colored the flower with Copic Markers. I then reached into my faith stamp box and used the words from an Illustrated Faith set as well as the crosses from the Sweet 'n Sassy The Good News set, all of them stamped using vintage cream ink for a subtle look.

Products: Altenew stamp, PTI cs, Altenew and PTI ink, Copic Markers
Copics: Y000, Y11, Y13, Y35, G40, G43, G46

I am submitting this to the Altenew February Inspiration Challenge.

Have a blessed weekend!

TCP Tuesday February #365 Challenge

The February TCP Tuesday challenge is to use  a Stencil (s) on your project. There are some fabulous stencils in the TCP Store although TCP products are not required. You have until the end of the month to complete a project and an added bonus is the $50 gift voucher some lucky artist has a chance to win.

After stamping the panda from the I'm Not Fat set into a linen cardstock piece, I colored him with Copic markers. I made my own bamboo trees by triming off a thin piece of white rustic plank themed patterned paper, colored with Copics, then attached to the panel. I used one of the stencils from the Birch Trees Stencilz set, to add the leaves to the bamboo strips with new leaf ink also the bird in pure poppy ink. The hearts and sentiment were stamped with pure poppy ink and the also the grass with new leaf.

Here are the details for the TCP Challenge:
  • Each month a new challenge will be posted on The Cat’s Pajamas blog and our Facebook page.
  • If you want to play along you just upload your design to The Cat’s Pajamas blog page using the InLinkz button provided.
  • You are not required to use a Cat’s Pajamas stamp or die but if you have them we would love to see them.
