The Cat's Pajamas July Release and Blog Hop

It is release day at The Cat's PajamasThere are 5 new stamp sets and 8 new die sets in this release. Two of the die sets coordinate with two of the stamp sets.  The matching stamp/die sets will be available to purchase separately or as a bundle with special pricing. All the new products will be available for purchase as revealed throughout the week with the full release on July 28 at which time there will be additional discounting known in the TCP world as the Kitty Kat or Poochie Pack. All the products are available to purchase tonight.

We are celebrating the July release with a blog hop. If you arrived here from Kerry's blog then you are right on track as she is first on the hop.

My first card features the new Gnome CutUps. I attached him with foam dimensionals onto a patterned paper piece cut with a die from the Fancy Flip CutUps set. The sentiment was stamped onto a double ended fishtail tag using flirty fuschia ink.

Products: The Cat's Pajamas stamps and dies, Doodlebug dp, Bazzill and PTI cs, Catherine Pooler ink

My second card features the new Christmas Tree Lot stamp set. If you saw my post here I created a couple of cards that could easily be recreated for assembly line type cardmaking. I used the same set today but took a bit more time with it by stamping the individual lines using tutti frutti, lime rickey and aquatini ink. I like to use washi tape to mask off the lines next to the color I want to stamp. This does take more time obviously but it certainly makes it more colorful! I used Nuvo drops throughout the tree and then added Clear Holographic Holeless Sequins randomly. I attached to a background panel of cardstock and patterned paper with a layer of craft foam. I used one of the dies from the Holiday Toppers CutUps to add a small snow border on each side. Lastly I wrapped and tied gold thread at the top for more sparkle.

Products: The Cat's Pajamas stamps and dies, Sunny Studios dp, PTI cs, Nuvo Crystal Drops, The Cat's Pajamas sequins, Catherine Pooler ink

Now hop on over to Christine's blog because she has something fabulous to share with you.

{The Cat's Pajamas Sneak Peek} PeekaBoo Frames, Little Truck & Silent Night Dies

It's the last day of The Cat's Pajamas July Sneak PeeksThere are 5 new stamp sets and 8 new die sets in this release. All the products will be available to purchase tonight.

Today the design team is featuring the new Peek-a-Boo Frames, Little Truck and Silent Night Dies.

First up is this sweet church image from the new O Holy Night set that I stamped onto Bristol Smooth cardstock, I then masked the image with paper as well as masking fluid and blended blueberry sky and faded jeans ink to create a night sky. After coloring the images,  I then used the new Silent Night CutUps die to cut from textured white cardstock which was attached to the top of the card. This scene perfectly captures Christmas Eve for me.

Products: The Cat's Pajamas stamps and dies, Bristol, Bazzill and PTI cs, Altenew, PTI and Ranger Distress ink, Copic Markers
Copics: Church-W00, E81, C00, C1, C3, C5, R20, R14, R17, Y11, Y15; Tree-G43, G82, G85, Y11, Y35; Lights-YG01, YG06, Y14, Y17

Next is a masculine Christmas card. I used the new Little Truck die to create a very manly truck from cardstock. I created the background from textured woodgrain cardstock and a strip of patterned paper, then cut a circle using a die from the new Cardinal Duo CutUps. After backing the cutout with patterned paper, I used one of the dies from the new PeekaBoo CutUps set to cut a flap. I stamped the sentiment from the new Oh Christmas Tree set using bamboo leaves ink on top of the flap. I also stamped and cut three pine bough images from the new Oh Christmas Tree Bundle, placing two inside the flap and one inside the truck. The truck was attached with foam dimensionals.

Products: The Cat's Pajamas stamp and dies, PTI and MME dp, EH and PTI cs, Memento ink

{The Cat's Pajamas Sneak Peek} Oh Holy Night

Welcome to another day of The Cat's Pajamas July Sneak PeeksThere are 5 new stamp sets and 8 new die sets in this release. Todays projects feature the new Oh Holy Night set.

I used the Wish Tag Duo CutUps (without the duo part) to cut a tag shape from textured cardstock. I then used one of the dies from the new PeekaBoo Frames to cut a flap. On the flap portion I used the "for" die from the Holiday Tag Duo Duo set (which is on sale!) for inlay die effect and one of the bows from the Presents CutUps cut from patterned paper. I then stamped one of the sweet snow people and the sled with presents from the new O Holy Night set and colored with Copic Markers. My grandchildren love to get under the Christmas tree and look for their names on the gifts so a flap on the tag should be extra fun for them. The inside of the flap was left blank for me to right their name.

Products: The Cat's Pajamas stamps and dies, PTI dp and linen cs, Hemptique cord, Altenew ink, Copic Markers
Copics: G0000, G000, YG01, YG03, YG06, BG0000, BG000, BG01

For my card I stamped the two snowpeople onto Copic friendly cardstock, masked them as well as the snow field, then blended blueberry sky ink around the masking. I then mixed up some white gouache and water and splattered it onto the sky to represent some light snow. After stamping the quarter moon, I then colored all images with Copic markers. I cut the panel out with a stitched die and stamped the sentiment with red poppy ink. Some snowfall glitter was added for a bit of sparkle and then the panel was attached to a patterned paper background with a layer of craft foam.

Products: The Cat's Pajamas stamps, PTI dp and cs, Doodlebug Enamel Hearts, Hero Arts glitter, Winsor Newton Gouache, Altenew and PTI ink, Copic Markers

{The Cat's Pajamas Sneak Peek} Christmas Tree Lot

Welcome back to another day of The Cat's Pajamas July Sneak PeeksThere are 5 new stamp sets and 8 new die sets in this release.

I made two cards using different images from the new Christmas Tree Lot set stamping both onto white cardstock using Versamark ink, then embossed with silver and gold embossing powder. Each image panel was attached to a white card base with metallic cardstock strips. I used the Five Snowflakes die set to cut from both gold metallic and white cardstock, layered together and anchored with enamel dots. A few Silver Saucer Holeless Sequins added even more sparkle to two elegant Christmas cards. This stamp set is perfect for assembly line type card making even when you are heat embossing.
