May You Find Comfort

It's rare I post two days in a row but those pesky challenge deadlines don't work in my favor some times!

Today's card is one of those that I unfortunately need a lot of these days. Sympathy cards aren't easy to make but a sketch from the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge (#475) certainly helped out.

I flipped the sketch around and used The Greetery Shiplap Builder dies to cut from kraft embossed cardstock to create the background. I then stamped the layered images from the largest branch from the Cotton Comforts set using gathered twigs, frayed burlap and rich cocoa from the branch and soft stone, stone and gathered twigs for the cotton bolls. After cutting out with the matching die, it was attached to the card front using foam dimensionals along with a trio of leaves cut with dies from the Botanicuts Mighty Oak set. Since I couldn't find a green cardstock I liked I cut from cream cardstock, then blended with forest moss ink. Both sentiments were also stamped in the forest moss ink.

Products: The Greetery stamps and dies, Ellen Hutson and PTI cs, Ranger Distress, PTI, RC and Memento ink

Have a fantastic week. Thanks or stopping by.

  2. Great idea to use the shiplap builder dies for the panels on the sketch! Such a gorgeous card using products from one of my favourite companies! Thanks so much for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches.
