{The Cat's Pajamas Sneak Peeks} Sketchy Santas and Joyeux Noel

Welcome back to another day of The Cat's Pajamas sneak peeks. There are 7 new stamp sets, 5 die sets, two stencils and one new holeless sequins set in this release. All the new products will be made available for purchase as revealed throughout the week with the full release on July 30 at which time there will be special discounting.

Today we are making a big switch from summer to Christmas highlighting the new Sketchy Santas stamp set and the Joyeux Noel die set for a Christmas in July which as you I hope you know is also our TCP Tuesday challenge for the month! A coincidence? I think not.

I created two cards for today as the images are easy and quick to color which is perfect when one needs to make a lot of Christmas cards like me.

I stamped one of the santa images onto Neenah cardstock, colored with Copic Markers and added Nuvo drops for the tree ornaments. I framed the image using the previously released Square Stamp CutUps cut from patterned paper. For the card front, I stamped two of the postal images from the previously released J*lly H*liday set using new leaf and gala red ink plus the sentiment also in gala red. A small strip of paper at the bottom along with a few Nuvo drops completed a postal themed Christmas card.

Products: The Cat's Pajamas stamps and dies, Lawn Fawn and Doodlebug dp, PTI cs, Nuvo Crystal Drops, PTI, WPlus9 and Altenew ink, Copic Markers
Copics: Santa-E00, E01, W00, E81, YG01, YG03, YG23, R30, R32, R35, N1, N3; Tree-G40, G43, G46, E35; Santa Sack-G000, G00, G02

For a completely different look I used the new Ho Ho Ho die to cut from stone cardstock, then again from silver metallic cardstock for the insert pieces. I also cut a layer from plain white cardstock, running through only once so the inserts would stay in place. I glued the two layers together, added the silver inserts and used duck egg blue Nuvo drops for the smaller inserts. Using the completed diecut as a guide, I stamped a different santa from the  new Sketchy Santa set directly onto a linen cardstock piece cut with a stitched die. After coloring the santa, I attached the diecut and a few of the new Clear Holographic sequins for a clean and simple Christmas card.

{The Cat's Pajamas July Sneak Peeks} Flippin' Awesome & Barbeque CutUps

Welcome to the second of seven days of The Cat's Pajamas sneak peeks. There are 7 new stamp sets, 5 die sets, two stencils and one new holeless sequins set in this release. All the new products will be made available for purchase as revealed throughout the week with the full release on July 30 at which time there will be special discounting. Today we are showcasing the new Flippin' Awesome stamp set and the matching new Barbeque dies. There is a discount if you buy both as a bundle.

Gasp! the big eared bunny did not make onto my card but I did stamp the grill, grilling tool, steak, burger, bottle of sauce and the oven mitt onto Copics X-Press It cardstock, cut out with the matching dies and colored with Copic markers. I prepared the card base using the new Great Outdoors Stencil to ink the grass and clouds. This stencil is a must have as it has so many uses all rolled into one price. For the main image panel, I used a circle die to cut a portion out of the side to reveal the stenciled area, attaching to the card base with a layer of craft foam. The sentiment was stamped directly onto the panel and a border of patterned paper added to the bottom. All the stamped images were then attached with foam dots.

Welcome to the first day of seven days of The Cat's Pajamas sneak peeks. There are 7 new stamp sets, 5 die sets, two stencils and one new holeless sequins set in this release. All the new products will be made available for purchase as revealed throughout the week with the full release on July 30 at which time there will be special discounting.

The most interesting bunny in the world is back for the July release in the new Kickin' It set.

I stamped the bunny image partially off the stitched rectangle panel. After coloring with Copic markers, I stamped an image from the previously released Watercolor Basics set using hayride ink to represent the sun. The sentiment was stamped in black atop the sun image then the panel was attached to a patterned paper background using a layer of craft foam. Lastly, I added Nuvo Ebony Black Crystal drops to the center of each flower.

Espressly for You {Purple Onion Designs}

Woohoo! It's the annual Purple Onion Designs Anniversary Sale. Michele is celebrating with 25% off stamps (with the exception of the Colored Pencil Class sets which are already discounted). It's a great time to stock up.

I have no idea why it took me so long to get the Coffee & Tea Set because it is really a great value with 21 small images and 13 sentiments. I have so many ideas for this sweet set so I expect I will be using it a lot now that I have it in my hot little hands. I stamped the various images onto Copics X-Press It cardstock, colored with Copic Markers and then fussy cut out. I arranged the images onto a die cut patterned paper circle, then added the sentiment onto a double ended fishtail cardstock tag. The image panel and another doubled ended fishtail tag was attached to the card base which I added some some stitching. I stamped the "coffee beans" image twice to the lower right hand corner for a bit of added interest for a masculine card.

Products: Purple Onion Designs stamps, Lawn Fawn dp, PTI cs, MFT and PTI dies, Altenew ink, Copic Markers
Copics: W00, E81, C00, C1, C3, C5, E21, E23, E25, B91, B93, B95

The sale continues through July 29 and I will have more cards to show you throughout the sale period. Stop by the Purple Onion Designs blog to see more projects created by my fellow creative design team members.

Tag You're It Challenge #91

Hello there. I am guest designing for the Tag You're It Challenge today. Check out this fabulous inspiration.

What's not to love? The fresh slices of all fruits, those sherbert colors? I looked at it rather literally and this is what I came up with.

I used the Sunny Studio Build-a-Tag #1 to create the tag from cardstock and patterned paper using the bottom border piece to make it a bit longer. I then stamped the fruits from the Sunny Studios Slice of Summer set and then cut out with the matching dies. The sentiment from the same set was stamped onto the circle tag cut from patterned paper. I then cut a matching tag shape from patterned paper and tied the three tags together using twine.

I love tag based cards so I added a matching border to the bottom of the card front and and used a die to emboss a center outline for a bit of added interest and then attached the tag set.

Stop by the Tag You're It Challenge blog to check out the design teams fabulous projects.

Have a great weekend.

The Cat's Pajamas July TCP Tuesday Challenge

HO HO HO! It's Christmas in July for our monthly challenge. You have until the end of the month to complete a project and TCP products are not required. So get busy and get a head start on those Christmas cards as well as a chance to win a $50 gift voucher to the TCP store!

I stamped the gnome from the Gnome for the Holidays image onto a stitched Neenah cardstock circle, then colored with Copic Markers. The sentiment was stamped in wisteria ink. I really wanted to use my much neglected patterned paper pads so I grounded the image circle using three different coordinating patterns. A few enamel dots for embellishments and even with the patterned paper I still managed to leave my usual white space.

Products: The Cat's Pajamas stamps, Doodlebug dp, PTI cs, Doodlebug enamel dots,  Altenew and Simon Says ink, Copic Markers
Copics: Gnome-E000, E01, E02, C1, C3, W00, E81, B21, B23, BG23, BG34, BG13, BV00, BV01, BV02; Tree-YG01, YG03, B21, B23, B26; Stars-Y000, Y02

Here are the details for the TCP Challenge:
