Happy Mail {Picket Fence Studios}

Good morning fellow papercrafters. I have a card featuring Picket Fence Studio products. This was a last minute project for the May release and it turned out to be my favorite of the bunch.

I used one of the rectangle dies from the Slim Line Nested Rectangles Die set to cut three openings in white cardstock piece. I flipped it over and added a piece of acetate, then used the fabulous Foam Tape around each opening to create my shaker sandwich. I filled each opening with a combination of the new Stars and Stripes Sequins Plus along with some Shaker Garnish in Metallic Red, Opaque White and Metallic Blue and a few Crystalline Diamonds in Ruby Red, Diamond and Azurite. I tried not to over fill but I really enjoyed mixing it up. After I was satisfied with my mixtures, I placed another piece of thin cardstock over the piece to enclose my shaker pieces.

I stamped the letter images and the sentiment from the Peach and Piper Check the Post set onto a red cardstock circle, then white heat embossed it. Before attaching the stamped piece to the card front I wrapped postage colored twine around the shaker. A few more pieces from the Stars and Stripes Sequin Mix finished it up.

Products: Picket Fence Studios stamps and dies, PTI and The Stamp Market cs, PFS Sequins, Divine Twine, Ranger Embossing Powder, Versamark ink

Thanks for stopping by friends. Have a great day.

Rise, Heal, Overcome {Picket Fence Studios}

Today's card is my ode to Ukraine. I used a die from the Slim Line Cutting System to cut a slimline panel from distress watercolor cardstock and blended the Ink on 3 Peacock Blue onto it using the Life Changing Blender Brushes. I then dipped the Fan Brush into water, tapped some of if off so it wouldn't drip, then gently tapped it onto the blended background. I did this several times, then placed a paper towel over the panel to absorb some of the wetness.

Sunflowers are the national flower of Ukraine so I stamped the flower from the Face the Sun set onto Copic friendly cardstock using the Black Hybrid Ink Pad, cut out with the matching die then colored with Copic markers. Before attaching the image and sentiment to the now dry panel using a layer of craft foam, I added a patterned paper border to the bottom portion. A few Azurite Crystalline Diamonds were attached randomly and also the diecut sentiment stamped in the same peacock blue ink finished it up.

Copics: YG01, YG03, YG17, YG23, Y11, Y15, Y17, YR27

I hope your week is off to a great start.

May 2022 Release {Picket Fence Studios}

This is the time of year where I start longing for a beach visit. I love splashing in the ocean and lazy days on the beach under an umbrella with a good book and an adult beverage. And that is why I have chosen theses two cards to showcase for the Picket Fence Studios May Release day.

This card was really fun and easy to make. I stamped the main image from the new Plenty of Fish set using Versamark ink onto white cardstock, then heat embossed with smoky slate embossing powder. After cutting out the panel with a stitched edge die I then blended blueprint sketch and salvaged patina distress ink over the embossing. I used an old scalloped oval die to cut out the center of the panel, then adhered the cut out to the card front to use as the shaker backing. To create the shaker I used the double sided Foam Tape which makes shakers so very easy to make and filled the space with the new Shark Watch Sequin Mix Plus. The sentiment from the More Fancy Sentiments was stamped onto white cardstock using blueprint sketch ink and then cut out with the matching die.

Products: Picket Fence Studios stamps and dies, PTI cs, PFS Sequins, Ranger Distress ink

For my second card I stamped the You Were Mermaid for Me beach floor image onto Copic friendly cardstock then cut with the matching die which is new for May. I then cut out the partial image with a stitched edge die. Next, I used the also new Slim Line Ocean Stencil and a brush from the Life Changing Blender Brushes set to blend peacock feathers distress ink onto a piece of white cardstock and then cut out with another stitched edge die. The image piece was attached with a layer of craft foam for extra dimension as was the sentiment from the Face the Sun set cut out with the matching die. A few pieces from the new Under the Sea Sequin Mix provided the finishing touches.

Picket Fence Studios and Ink on 3 Collaboration

The Picket Fence Studios Design Team members are collaborating with Ink On 3 inks today with an Instahop over on Instagram but I also wanted to blog my cards. I will admit I was not familiar with the Atelier inks so I was anxious to give them a try.  If you want to participate in the Instahop start @picketfencestudios. There are prizes available so be sure to check it out. You have until May 8, 2022 @6pm EDT to participate.

I first sprayed the back of the Soar Butterfly Stencil with Pixie Spray then positioned over a white cardstock piece. I used the Life Changing Blender Brush Set to blend Ink on 3 Atelier Marilyn Red, Petunia Pink, Marigold Orange and lastly with Bee Sting Yellow then cut out with a stitched rectangle die.The sentiment from the Watercolor Roses set was stamped with Petunia Pink onto a white cardstock stitched edged circle which I attached with foam dimensionals. I finished it up with Heart Breaker Sequins mounded in the center of the butterfly body and then one on each wing.

           Products: Picket Fence Studios Stamp and Stencil, PTI cs, PFS Sequins, Ink on 3 inks

I used the cubes but full size versions are also available. The verdict on these inks.....they are amazing! I love how easily they blended and stamped.

Thank you stopping by today and don't forget the Instahop!

{The Cat's Pajamas} Smile

Good morning! The past few days have been so very busy so it's always a treat to get into my craft room for some crafty time.

This card features the new Camera Cutables. I cut with my Silhouette Cameo machine from various colorful patterned papers and cardstock. I adjusted the look a bit by creating a small shaker piece in the lens portion. I also added a few small flowers from the also new Under My Hat which is a combo of digital (.png) and cut files (.svg) set.

Products: The Cat's Pajamas Cutables, Doodlebug dp, Bazzill and PTI cs, PFS Sequins

As if I didn't use enough tropical colors, I added a patterned paper border onto the card base, then attached the camera piece along with the sentiment using foam dimensionals.

I hope these colors brighten your day. Don't forget to smile! The world needs all the smiles.

Big Beautiful Butterfly & A Collaboration

Michele at I Card Everyone and I are collaborating today with both of using the Picket Fence Studios Big Beautiful Butterfly Die. A little flutterby just for fun of course. Neither of us has seen each others project in advance.

The Big Beautiful Butterfly Die is a two piece set but I did not use the background die this time around. I first cut the butterfly from mango cardstock and then set it aside to work on the background panel. I used the Slim Line Rainbow Die to cut from seven different cardstock colors. I found it easiest to place two pieces of double sided tape down on my work surface, removing the top covering and then placed my strips on it. I removed the backing plus added some glue along the strips and placed on the white linen cardstock panel, trimming the edges off the right side. After attaching the butterfly to the panel with some strategically placed glue, I added a few flat back pearls from the Gradient Flatback Pearls-Tangerine Sunlight Yellow set. Lastly, the partial sentiment from the Watercolor Roses set was stamped onto a small white cardstock circle using green parakeet ink and attached to the center of the butterfly using foam dimensionals.

Products: Picket Fence Studios sentiment stamp and dies, PTI, The Stamp Market, Concord & 9th, Stampin' Up, and Bazzill cs, PFS pearls, PTI ink

Thank you Michele for doing this collaboration with me! Be sure to let her know how much you like her version of this big and beautiful die here.

Life's Unfolding Future {Picket Fence Studios}

Today's clean and simple card is the last of the projects I created for the Picket Fence Studios April release.

I stamped two of the fish from the Graceful Koi stamp set using marmalade and one from sorbet ink onto off white cardstock, then cut out with the matching dies. For the background I used the A2 Horizontal Messy Watercolor Stencil and the Life Changing Blender Brush Set to blend tumbled glass and evergreen bough distress ink. I stamped the sentiment directly onto the card front panel using the Black Hybrid Ink Pad with a bit of masking so I could break it up. The Koi were attached with foam dimensionals and then the whole panel was attached to the card front using the amazing Extra Wide Foam Tape

Products: Picket Fence Studios stamps and dies, PTI cs, PFS Stencil, Concord & 9th, PFS and Ranger Distress ink

Have a blessed Sunday!
