{The Cat's Pajamas} Sending Sunshine

Today's project is a just because card to brighten someone's day.

Using Silhouette Studio software I added one of the images from the Like a Rainbow digital/SVG set, resized so it would fit an A2 size card front, then printed onto Copic friendly cardstock and cut out with a stitched edge die. I then used a retired TCP grass die to cut from patterned paper. I also separately printed the sentiment from the Sending You set and the bunny from the Rise and Shine digital stamp. I colored the sweet bunny with Copic markers and then fussy cut out. Both the sentiment and image were attached using foam dimensionals.

{The Cat's Pajamas} Feline Better

Today's project is a whimsical get well card.

Using Silhouette Studio software I resized the main image from the Sick Kitty digital stamp as well as the sentiment, printed onto Copic friendly cardstock and ten cut out with dies. The main image was colored with a combo of Copic and Altenew markers. I cut my card base landscape style with a side fold then cut off the right edge 1.25 inch on the front side to reveal a portion of the inside of the card. I backed the front area with patterned paper and a strip of different paper down the inside front. I placed the images onto the card front allowing the sentiment piece to fall off the edge. The sentiment was backed with a layer of craft foam for stability purposes.

{ The Cat's Pajamas} You are in My Thoughts

I love it when the bees appear in the spring. Unfortunately there hasn't been as much pollen for them in our yard this year. That really hard winter freeze at 8 degrees for several days in a row did a number on our landscaping. That kind of weather is highly unusual for the south and subsequently we've been on "death watch" for some of our shrubbery, our azaleas especially.

Alma created this sweet bee gnome at my request two years ago after I found one in plushie form at a local retailer. Using Silhouette software, I resized and then printed the main image from the Bee Happy, Bee Gnomie digital stamp set onto Copic friendly cardstock. After coloring with a combination of Copic and Altenew markers, I fussy cut out. The sentiment came from the physical Simply Said set and was stamped with Versamark ink and white heat embossed. The digital version is here. For the background panel I used an old retired Verve honeycomb die for an inlaid diecut look. Both the image and sentiment were attached with a layer of craft foam.

I hope you are having a lovely spring. Bee kind. Bee sweet. Bee happy. Ok, I'm done.

{The Cat's Pajamas} A Little Chicken Soup

Good morning. I have a get well card for you today.

Using Silhouette Sotware I printed the image from The Cat's Pajamas Chicken Soup digital set and also the sentiment from the Simply Said digital set, leaving enough room in between in order to cut out separately using dies. I colored the main image with Copic markers. To prepare the background I used a stitched edge die to cut from patterned paper. To emulate the stripes in the chicken soup bowl, I cut thin pieces of black cardstock then glued to the center of the panel. The image and sentiment piece were attached with a layer of craft foam. Simple and I hope cheerful.

The Happiest Christmas Ever

Obviously, not much creative is going on my life right now. March has been a very hard month for us. I won't go in to everything because I just don't want to talk or write about it right now. However,  I will say that I am recovering from a cold. No fever but did have a raging sore throat, sinus congestion and some body aches. I am just now getting back to normal but my energy level is quite low.

The only reason you are seeing this card is because I stamped, diecut and colored the images from the My Favorite Things Chill Holiday with Copic markers back in February. I have a few more images ready for another card also. The only stamping I had left do to was the sentiment which was stamped onto pure poppy cardstock using Versamark, then white heat embossed. To assemble the card I cut the linen cardstock background with a stitched rectangle die and I also used the tiny "snow mound" die from the set. I inserted the "candy canes" into the snow mounds, then added all the other pieces with a combo of glue and foam dimensionals for a clean and simple Christmas card.

Products: My Favorite Things stamps and dies, PTI cs, Altenew and Versamark ink, Copic Markers
Copics: Penguins-C00, C1, B21, B23, B26, Y13, Y17; Walrus-C00, C1, C3, T0, T1; Present/Ear Muffs-G12, G14, G17; Toboggan/Bow/Candy Canes-R20, R24, R27; Walrus Toboggan-Y13, Y15, Y17

I am submitting this to the My Favorite Things March Ready, Set, Christmas! Challenge.

Have a blessed day!

Psalm 31:25

Good morning. I have a faith based card for a friend who is suffering from very serious health issues.

I stamped Papertrey Ink Psalm Reflections: February using sage ink onto white linen cardstock, cut out with a double stitched oval die then trimmed off to fit the panel. I then stamped the vase and handle from the Vase Collection 13 Mini Stamp Set using stone and london fog ink and cut out and the decorative balls with wheat ink, then cut out with all the matching dies. The greenery came from the older Forest Floor: Winter stamp and die set, stamped with fern and stardust ink. I dry embossed the soft stone background panel using the Spellbinders Dazzling Dots embossing folder.

Products: Papertrey Ink stamps and dies, PTI cs, Spellbinders embossing folder, Memento, Reverse Confetti, The Stamp Market and Concord & 9th ink

Have a great week.

{The Cat's Pajamas} Get Well Soon

Good morning all. The March release of digital products from The Cat's Pajamas is available now.

I combined the image from the new Big Cups and the sentiment from the also new A Cuppa digital stamp sets and printed onto Copic friendly cardstock using Silhouette software, then cut out with a stitched edge circle die. I added a simple patterned paper strip in the middle of the card front, then wrapped dark blue twine around it several times. The image piece was attached with a layer of craft foam for a masculine get well card. A trio of enamel dots provided some finishing touches.

Products: The Cat's Pajamas digital stamps, MFT dp, PTI cs, Doodlebug enamel dots, The Twinery twine, Copic Markers
Copics: Penguin-W00, E81, YR30, YR31, Y38; Cup-B91, B93, B95, B97; Teabag-W00, E81, R20, R24, R27

I don't make masculine type cards nearly enough. It feels good to get one completed. Have a blessed day.
