Be Strong and Take Heart

Today's card is for the Viva la Verve July Week 1 sketch. I took a break from these last month as I have deliberately chosen to lighten my crafty work this summer in the interest of getting some much needed things done around the house. June was a month of just design team work. But Verve is one of my favorite stamp companies so I am determined to fit them in this month.

I stamped the Psalm 31:24 verse from the Scripture Medley 1 set onto white cardstock cut with a MFT die. I then stamped the butterfly from the Happy Place set onto Copics X-Press It and cut out with the matching die from the Happy Doodles die set. After coloring it with Copic Markers I attached it to the card front with foam tape and then added some Black Diamond Stickles to it for a touch of glitter. I simplified the sketch and flipped it around a little, using a Cuttlebug embossing folder on one edge. A few Doodlebug glitter enamel dots finished it up.
