Summer is a wonderful time of the year but then again so is Christmas so I am doing a Christmas in July series. My goal is to make at least 20 cards this month but I am not going to stress over the goal. The point is to get a jump start on my Christmas cards while enjoying the process. See below on how to participate too.
Today's card also represents a new weekly feature on my blog, "Faith Friday." If you have been a regular on my blog then you know I have created a lot of faith based cards. After all, I am on the writing team at my church. If some other project is due on Friday such as a design team assignment I won't feature it.
I cut a white linen card stock front using a stitched rectangle die, then used the Frantic Stamper Reverse Cut Earth die to create a cutout. A sentiment from the Verve Beyond Measure stamp set was stamped directly on the panel with pure poppy ink. I water colored onto a Ranger water color card stock piece using Kuretake Gansa Tambi (No. 57 Turquoise Green) and then sandwiched it and the front panel using a layer of foam. A cross cut with a die from the Simon Says Crosses set, few sequins and gold thread tied in a bow at the top finished it up.
Products: Verve stamp, PTI cs, Verve sequins, Frantic Stamper and Simon Says die, Kuretake Gansai Tambi water colors, PTI ink
