{The Cat's Pajamas} A Touch of Metallic

There are a number of ways in which to add metallic to a card including foiling, metallic ink, heat embossing, sequins, metallic cardstock or designer paper, etc. I have a trio of cards to show you how just a touch of metallic can really elevate your Christmas cards. 

First up, is this sweet bear from the I Like Big Gifts digital set. I resized and printed him onto Copics X-Press It cardstock using Silhouette software. I colored the big guy using Copic markers and then fussy cut him out. The sentiment from the Reindeer Kisses set was printed directly onto the card front and I added the patterned paper and the border from metallic cardstock which is a very simple way  to add sparkle. The image was attached using a layer of craft foam.

Next, you might remember this Freezin' Season stamp in its clear stamp version but now it is available in digital form. How cute is that sweet bunny building his own snow bunny?! I kept it simple by printing a fairly small version using onto linen cardstock then cut out with a fun die. I added some more landscape lines with a Copic Multiliner pen and then colored the image with Copic markers. I used a stitched edge die to cut from red cardstock for the background, embossing the top edge with a border type embossing folder. For my touch of metallic I added a die cut word using an older TCP die which was cut from thin gold metallic cardstock and a couple of small sequins from my stash.

The last card features one of the easiest ways to to add metallic. I printed the image from the Give a Little set directly onto the card base front using Silhouette software and also included the parsed sentiment. After coloring with Copic markers I simply added some green, turquoise and silver metallic sequins.
