Oh Boy

My nephew and his wife are expecting their first child and yesterday was the baby shower. It is always fun to create cards for the impending birth of a child. It's such a wonderful and happy occasion and when it is family, it is even more special.  At first I struggled with what I wanted to do but I decided to take a cue from one of the gifts. The minute I saw this blanket in the store I wanted to get it.  Not only was it cute and oh so soft, it matched the nursery colors of blue, brown and tan.

I stamped the Sassafrass Lass elephant image from the Jungle set using Memento Summer Sky ink onto Papertrey Ink cardstock.  I cut out the image, added the button and then adhered it to the circle with pop dots for dimension.  The patterned paper is some older Creative Imaginations.  This card was small, only 3.75 square so it would fit inside the 4x4 envelope also from Papertrey Ink.

Products: Sassfrass Lass Jungle stamps, Creative Imaginations pp and button, Papertrey Ink cardstock, Stampin' Up cardstock (kraft) May Arts ribbon, Making Memories safety pin, Spellbinders Nestabilities, Quickutz embossing folder

Thanks for stopping by!
