Did you see that I won the entire Anni-VERVE-sary release? You can read about it here. And when I say the entire release, I mean EVERYTHING down to the sequins. Julee shipped it out super fast and I received on Friday which was even before the products were officially released. Here's a photo (Zoe had to get in on the act). Thank you so much Verve!
I was two sketches behind in the August Viva la Verve sketches so I got to work this weekend, using Sketch 4 for the layout of this card. I stamped the sentiment from the new One Cup set onto a rectangle, then tied the twill tape around it. I used a die from the Cuppa Tea set to cut the cup stack from Copics X-Press It cardstock and then stamped the matching image onto it. After coloring with Copic markers, I attached the piece to the side of the sentiment panel with dimensional dots. All the patterned paper came from the American Crafts Soho Garden pad.
Products: Verve stamps and dies, American Crafts dp, PTI cs and twill, Bazzill cs, Lil Inker Designs die, Copic Markers
Copics: W00, E81, Y11, Y21, BG0000, BG000, BG10, BG11, RV0000, R81, R83
That's it for today. I'm off to church soon. Have a great rest of the weekend.

Made With Love
I hope all my fellow Americans are having a wonderful holiday weekend. We are looking forward to a day of football watching here and some grilling out. I'm hoping to craft with one eye on the television. Of course all extraneous activities stop when Alabama plays this afternoon.
Today's card features another Sugar Nellie Furry Friends digital stamp, Made With Love. I used my Silhouette machine to faux fussy cut (Trace and Offset Function) the image. I've performed this function before but not with a digital stamp so there was some trial and error involved. Let's just say the third time was the charm. I had good intentions of coloring this cute kitty in yellows but I was just not going to be happy if I couldn't use the yellow polka dotted paper from the Avery Elle The Brights Collection pad. I was afraid that was too much yellow so I went with warm grays instead. Some chocolate icing on that yummy looking cake and it was all colored up in a jiffy. I kept the background simple as I wanted lots of white and then attached the image piece cut with Reverse Confetti Diagonal Strip Pretty Panels paired up with the Love Note die with dimensional dots. The sentiment from The Cat's Pajamas Lickable set was stamped directly onto the card base. A tiny bow cut with the Mama Elephant Dainty Bow die set provided a splash of color. A scattering of enamel dots finished it up.
Products: Sugar Nellie digital stamp, Avery Elle dp, PTI and MFT cs, Doodlebug enamel dots, Reverse Confetti dies, Mama Elephant die, Copic Markers
Copics: Kitty-W00, W1, W2, W5, RV00, R81, E81; Cake-E33, E37, E29, E50, E51, E53, YR01, E81
I am entering this in the Sugar Nellie Furry Friends challenge.

Texting
Now that I have a new printer I am capable of printing digital stamps again. My first purchases were three of the new Sugar Nellie Furry Friends. I spread the love between a kitty, a doggy and a teddy. Today's card features Texting.
I started out cutting a Cell Phone file with my Silhouette from plain card stock and Copics X-Press It blending card stock. I printed the Texting image onto the screen portion of the phone and then colored with Copic Markers. I combined this cutie patootie dog with patterned papers from the Fancy Pants Me-ology and Studio Calico Here+There pads and matted all the background pieces with the same Smokey Shadow card stock as the cell phone. The cut file contained conversation bubbles also but I felt the My Favorite Things Say What? Die-namics was a better fit for the sentiment from the Lawn Fawn Just My Type set. I attached the sentiment piece with dimensional dots and then added the row of hearts cut with the Reverse Confetti Love Note Confetti Cuts set, backed with a bit of silver thread.
Products: Sugar Nellie digital stamp, Fancy Pants and Studio Calico dp, PTI cs, Silhouette file, My Favorite Things Die-namics, Reverse Confetti die, Simon Says ink, Copic Markers
Copics: Bunny-C00, C1, C3, R20, W00, E81; Cell phone-W00, E81, YR12; Ground-W00, W1, W2; Shadows-BG0000, BG000

I stamped the rope image from the Happy Harbor set using Ranger Archival Vermillion ink onto the white portion and then the two anchors after which I fussy cut out. The lighthouse was stamped onto Copics X-Press It, colored with Copics and fussy cut out. After stamping the sentiment directly onto the background panel, I attached the completed tag with dimensional dots. The two anchors were attached with a Doodlebug mini clothes pin with a bit of baker's twine.

Hi Friend (Paper Smooches}
It's my last week as guest designer card for Paper Smooches. I had fun creating my projects. Thank you so much Kim.
Today's card features the new Big Friend Word Die which I cut from plain white card stock. I created a quilted background block by punching 1 inch squares from various Doodlebug papers from the Kraft in Color pad and then attaching to a stitched rectangle. I attached the die cut word on it, using a jeweled sequin to dot the "i". I stamped the word hi from the Bold Buzzwords set onto a small tag using Memento Luxe Danube Blue ink and then threaded it with Hemptique cord. A scattering of sequins finished it up.
Products: Paper Smooches stamp and die, Doodlebug dp, Bazzill and PTI cs, Lawn Fawn sequins, Hemptique cord, WPlus9 die, Stampin' Up punch, Lil Inker Designs stitched die, Memento Luxe ink

You are My Sunshine
Today's tag/card is for the current Tag You're It! Challenge (#4).
I started out my cutting the tag from watercolor paper using the new Reverse Confetti Tag Me, Too die set. I lightly color washed it with yellow water color and then added a patterned paper strip at the bottom. I did the inlaid die cut technique on the tag with the word sunshine from the Simon Says Sun & Sunshine die set. I also cut the sawtooth edged piece from the same die set and stamped the sentiment from the Simon Says Bring the Sunshine using Memento Luxe Gray Flannel ink onto it. After assembling all the pieces of the tag, I tied ribbon through the tag hole and added a trio of pearls on the scallops. I attached the tag to the background piece keeping the layout simple. All the patterned paper came from the Fancy Pants Beloved pad.
Products: Simon Says stamp and dies, Fancy Pants dp, PTI and Stampin' Up card stock, May Arts ribbon, Basic Grey pearls, Reverse Confetti dies, Memento Luxe ink, Loew-Cornell Water Colors

Hello (Life is Good)
I first cut a square from water color paper using Spellbinders Nestabilities and then stamped the sand mound. I water colored the sand and the sky and then cut out the "water" from card stock using the Taylored Expressions Wave Border. I stamped the castle, starfish and crab onto Copics X-Press It, colored with Copic markers and then fussy cut out. I assembled the scene within the square, attaching the images with dimensional dots. After wrapping the frayed cord around the bottom, I stamped the seagull images and then attached the piece to the background panel. The background panel was cut from Bazzill Peanut Cluster card stock using the embossed piece from the My Favorite Things Blueprints 15 set and then inked around the edges with Gathered Twigs Distress ink. The sentiment came from the Just My Type set.
Copics: W00, E30, E33, E81, E84, R22, R24, R27
I wish I was on the beach right now. It is so very hot here the only thing I can do is stay in my house with the air conditioning going full blast. It doesn't make me very happy but I am sure Alabama Power loves it.

Proverbs 31:25
I used the August Viva la Verve Sketch 3 for the general layout of today's card as I am trying to complete all the sketches this month. The Verve Proverbs 31:25 has been in my not yet used box for a while now so I am happy to put it to use. I stamped it onto a plain sheet of paper from the Glitz Design Cashmere Dame pad using Simon Says Black ink. I attached it to the background panel using dimensional dots. White Hemptique cord was wrapped around the panel and then I added the hearts and a few Doodlebug jewels for a feminine design.
Products: Verve stamp, Glitz Design dp, PTI cs, Doodlebug jewels, Hemptique cord, MFT dies, Simon Says ink

Congrats
Today's card features the new Verve Peaceful Medallions stamp set. I stamped the various images using Ranger Archival Ink (Aquamarine), My Favorite Things (Sour Apple) and Stampin' Up Daffodil Delight and then cut them all out with Spellbinders Nestabilities. I used dimensional dots to separate some of the layers and then matted each set with black cardstock. After stamping the sentiment using Simon Says ink, I added a trio of sequins. I am triple-dipping on challenges as I generally followed the current CAS(E) this Sketch (#88) for the layout and it also fits the Show Us Your Verve challenge as well as the August Celebrate Good Times Diva Dare.

I placed him over a rectangular cut out which was backed with patterned paper, using a dimensional dot underneath the hand. After stamping the sentiment onto a double ended banner, I then added a trio of enamel dots. The patterned paper came from the American Crafts Plus One pad.

My Power is Made Perfect
I used the August Viva la Verve Sketch 2
for the general layout of today's card and I am also submitting it for the Show Us Your Verve challenge.
I cut a circle in the rectangular image panel using a die from the Lil Inker Designs Stitched Mats set. I then stamped the cross from the Verve Scripture Medley 3 with Tim Holtz Distress Ink (Pumice Stone) and positioned underneath the circle, topping with a pearl. The scripture from the 2 Corinthians 12:9 Plain Jane was stamped below the circle using Simon Says Black ink. All the patterned paper came from the Basic Grey Little Black Dress pad. The final touch included a doubled up May Arts Twill anchored with a button tied with linen thread for a masculine sympathy card.
Products: Verve stamps, Basic Grey dp, PTI cs and button, May Arts twill, Kaisercraft pearl, Lil Inker Designs die, Tim Holtz Distress ink, Simon Says ink

Peace & Joy
Today's masculine Christmas card was created for the current Merry Monday #121 Challenge to include pinecones, greens and red plaid ribbon. I haven't participated in a while, frankly because after my Christmas in July I was a little burned out on Christmas cards. I didn't want to miss this week though because I just recently purchased a stamp set that was perfect for it.
I used the Papertrey Ink Peaceful Pinecones Stamp and Matching die set to create the pine bough with cones piece using My Favorite Things Jellybean Green and Simon Says Dark Chocolate inks and then secured it to the tag shape cut with the Paper Smooches Stitched Tag die. I didn't have any plaid ribbon so I improvised by making a bow with the My Favorite Things Dainty Bows Die-namics set cut from red plaid paper from the Echo Park Happy Camper pad. I cut the background panel from kraft card stock using a die from the Lil Inker Designs Rectangle Stitched Mats set and then added some texture using a Simon Says Peppermint Stripe stencil with Golden Fiber Paste. I deliberately made it messy. The sentiment was stamped directly onto the background piece. A scattering of sequins finished it up.
Products: Papertrey Ink stamps, die and cs, Echo Park dp, Golden Fiber Paste, Doodlebug sequins, Paper Smooches and Lil Inker Designs dies, My Favorite Things dies and ink, Simon Says stencil and ink
Thanks for stopping by. I'll be back tomorrow with another project.

Blow Out the Bonfire
I have a clean and simple birthday card for my son-in-law which fits three different Dare to Get Dirty Challenges going on over at Splitcoaststampers. You have to be a fan club member to find out the details of the challenge. Today is the last day to participate so why not join up and see what the fun is all about?
I stamped the sentiment from the CAS-ual Fridays Shenanigans stamp set using Stampin' Up Midnight Muse and Simon Says Schoolhouse Red. I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder to emboss the upper part of the background panel. I separated the embossed area from the sentiment with a plain strip of yellow cardstock. After cutting the two candles with my Silhouette (they were freebies with purchase) from white, navy and red card stock, I attached them to the panel with two sided tape. Simple and easy!
Products: CAS-ual Fridays stamps, PTI and Core'dinations cs, Silhouette cutting files, Cuttlebug embossing folder, Stampin' Up and Simon Says inks
I hope your week is off to a great start.
