I'm trying for another masculine card. I really need the practice by going through the design process but they are definitely not my forte. This image is from the Digi Doodle Shop and is a digital one which I printed onto Bazzill Simply Smooth cardstock. I colored with Copic Markers and cut out with a Spellbinders Nestie, sponging very lightly around the edges with Stampin' Up So Saffron ink while it was still in the die. I followed this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch (SSSC93) except I did make it a square and also reversed the layout. I added some messy stitching, a button and a wool feltie piece from the Basic Grey Wander collection. I then stamped the Papertrey Ink sentiment twice - one line on the background panel and another on the stamped panel.
Products: Digi Doodle Shop digital stamp, Basic Grey dp and wool feltie, PTI sentiment stamp and button, Spellbinders Nestabilities, Copic Markers
Copics: BG0000, BG11, BG72, BG75, C00, C1, C3, C5, C7, C9, E07, E08, E09
That's it for today. Have a great week.

Masculine cards may not be your forte Nancy but you always do fantastic ones! I love the image, the papers and your messy stitching...this is perfect! What guy wouldn't like getting this! :)
ReplyDeleteFabulous colouring and design! I think it's an awesome masculine card...they're tough for me too!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great card, Nancy. I love the way you've added little details that make a big difference.
ReplyDeleteDo you just print and paint the image - you don't use any kind of fixative in order for the ink not to bleed when you colour the image?
