Today's card is for this week's The Cat's Pajamas Tuesday Challenge (TCP151). It's my favorite kind of a challenge - an inspirational one. I know most people love sketches instead but a lot of the time I find them to be too restrictive. Of course there are some sketches that are more versatile and interesting than others. A recent stamp favorite has gone to all sketch challenges so I appreciate that The Cat's Pajamas continues to mix theirs up. But I digress.
I love these cute little bunnies in tutus and the pink and white colors in the inspirational photo provided the perfect opportunity to use them. I stamped each individually onto Copic X-Press-It blending card and then cut all with Spellbinders Nestabilities with some out of the box action with the largest bunny. All were colored with Copic markers which took all of three minutes and then matted onto paper doilies cut with a Papertrey Ink die.
Products: The Cat's Pajamas stamp, Echo Park dp, Papertrey Ink die, Memrie Marie seam binding ribbon, Kaisercraft pearls, Doodlebug button, Spellbinders Nestabilities, Copic Markers
Copics: Bunnies-E50, E51, E53; Tutu's R81, R83
I apologize for the photo quality. My camera is dying. I've been noticing for a while that there were some blurry edges on my photos (see the "I love you" in the photo above). Now the problem seems to be escalating. When I turn on the camera I have a dark viewfinder. Turning it off and on can make it come on but sometimes there are dark shadows all around the edges. Continuing to turn off and on finally brightens up the viewfinder so that I can take a photo but even then I still get some blurriness. I did a search on the internet and have found this to be known Canon problem. However, when I contacted Canon, they denied there was an issue with the S2 IS (even though there are a gazillion complaints on the internet). Since it is out of warranty, I can pay them to fix it starting at $127. But as a loyal customer, they will sell me a refurbished camera for $190. And get this, I have to send in my old camera. Which of course means they just refurbish it and pass it on the next customer who complains about this problem. Double dipping the customer. What a crock. It has really soured me on Canon cameras. I feel a Nikon in my future. But of course this happens during tax time so there is not one spare dime.

Awww... how sweet is this pink masterpiece?! Love it, Nancy! :)
ReplyDeleteThis is such a cool design Nancy, I love it! Here I thought I was the only person who wasn't a huge fan of sketches, I'm with you and find most too restrictive and I love a good inspirational challenge!
ReplyDeleteSorry about your camera and the bad customer service you're getting! I've been a long time Nikon girl so you get my recommendation for one when you go to look, I have no complaints. :)
Hey Nancy! Just poppin in to say that I love your card! Such a perfect combination of soft color and stamp image (tutu bunny)!
ReplyDeleteI have a feeling if we lived closer, you and I could be wonderful stamp buddies as we have similar tastes (i.e. TCP, seam binding, PTI doily dies, etc.)!
Can't wait to see what you come up with for the ATC swap!
Linda
Wonderful pinkness!
