I'm squeezing in the current My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club sketch challenge (MFTWSC74) before the June Sweet November previews start tomorrow.
I'm not only trying to get a few of the MFT sketch challenges completed but I'm also starting on my 2012 Christmas cards. I used one of the images from the Inspired by Christmas set, stamping the beribboned bells onto a piece cut with the Vertical Greetings Die-namics, adding patterned paper strips at the top and bottom. I used a Wilton paper doily for the circle portion of the sketch and the Double Scallop border Die-namics for the bottom edge of the next panel. A bit of stitching, twill ribbon in a big bow and a white circle topped with a cream colored snowflake for a tone on tone look provided the finishing touches (cut with the Let it Snowflake Die-namics). The paper is from the Echo Park Season's Greetings pad from last year. Even with the lumpy bow I'm hoping I can mail this without using extra postage which is always a plus at Christmas time when every nickel seems like it flies out the door.
Products: My Favorite Things stamp and Die-namics, Echo Park dp, May Arts twill, Copic Markers
Copics: E81, E84, E87, R24, R29, R59, C00, C1, C3, 0
I hope you stop by tomorrow for the first of five days of Sweet November and then C.C. Designs previews starting Tuesday. Next week is going to be a busy one on the blog.
Have a great weekend. The weather here has given us a bit of
a break from the heat and humidity. It's really quite pleasant.
