Today's project is for TCP Tuesday (TCP Tuesday 232) which is a technique/supply challenge from our hostess this week Julie to create a shaped card this week. The catch is the shape has to be fall related!
I associate apple harvesting with fall so I made an apple shaped card using Photoshop Elements to create. After cutting out the card base I covered the front with patterned paper from the Simple Stories Harvest Lane 6x6 pad. I don't always get such great use of a pad of paper but I've definitely put this one to work. I added a felt stem that I free hand cut and then backed with cardstock to make it a bit sturdier. The felt leaves were cut with the Flower Buttons CutUps. I wrapped twill around the card front on a diagonal slant ending in a bow and then added one of the journaling elements on which I stamped the sentiment from the Simply Said set. The rosette was cut with the Sunflower Rosette CutUps. I smattering of buttons completed the homespun look. See that tiny felt heart below the sentiment? It was leftover from last week's TCP card.
This also meets the requirements for the Ship Shape challenge (HYCCT1210) in the Hope You Can Cling To forum at Splitcoast Stampers benefiting UT MD Anderson Hospital.
Products: The Cat's Pajamas stamp and CutUps, Simple Stories dp, PTI felt and buttons, May Arts twill
All the details for this TCP Tuesday challenge can be found in the TCP Splitcoast Stampers Forum.
As always, there is potential for fame (Pick of the Litter)
and/or fortune (Pick of the Week) and possibly even Swanky Stamper
of the Month. I hope you will join us this week if you haven't already.
And speaking of apples, we just replenished our supply of Honey Crisps. My absolute favorite apple.
