It's review day on the C.C. Designs Rubber Stamps blog and I am joining other members of the design team in showing you more projects using the August release stamps.
I really had fun with this one. I started out by stamping the bat from the October 31 Accessories set. I stamped the bat image onto patterned paper and then stamped the head portion again onto Copics X-Press It, colored with Copic markers and then attached to the paper pieced wings with a dimensional dot. I then prepared the background panel by first using a MFT stencil to apply white Ranger Gesso just using my finger to apply for a casual look. I cut the tree using the C.C. Designs Spooky Tree Cutters using the C.C. Designs Woodgrain Embossing plate to give it the "woodsy" look. I superimposed the tree and the bat onto the "moon" cut with the Circle Cutters Die. The sentiment is from last years C.C. Designs Halloween Sentiments set. A couple of Making Memories acrylic buttons from my scrapbook stash completed the design. The patterned paper came from a Pink Paislee collection from several years ago.
