It's The Cat's Pajamas Sneaky Peek Week! We are celebrating Christmas and Winter with three new stamp sets and four new to the shop dies. The Village & Trees die is free-with-purchase. All the new products will be released on October 30 in the TCP store.
I am kicking off the first of seven days of Sneaky Peek week. Each member of the design team will be taking turns sharing creations. Check The Cat's Pajamas blog everyday to see who is on the schedule. I am also sharing this day with the oh so talented Julee Tillman who is guest designing for us this week. Julee is one of my very favorite card artists!
And speaking of the Village & Trees free with purchase die, I used it on my first card. I went very simple with it, placing the diecut on a snowfall embossed navy cardstock background. I stamped the sentiment from the also new North Pole or Bust stamp set using Versamark ink and then white heat embossed. I added the irridescent holeless sequins introduced to the shop last month for a bit of sparkle and some ribbon tied at the top.
Products: The Cat's Pajamas stamps and dies, MFT and PTI cs, TE embossing folder, TCP sequins, May Arts ribbon, Versamark ink
My second project is another simple Christmas card. I stamped the image from the North Pole or Bust set onto Copics X-Press It cardstock, colored with Copic markers and then fussy cut out. I then blended spring rain ink onto the center of the card front and stamped the stars and the sentiment from the same set using spring rain ink again. I added a trio of snowflakes cut using dies from the 5 Snowflakes set which were anchored with enamel dots. The 5 Snowflakes set features four dies which cut out five different snowflakes
Products: The Cat's Pajamas stamps and dies, PTI cs, Doodlebug enamel dots, PTI and MFT ink

Copics:
I am a clean and simple cardmaker but occasionally I like to get at least a little bit messy/artsy. The new Cosmic Christmas set cried out for a galaxy background so I retrieved my Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolor set out. I watercolored a stitched Ranger watercolor cardstock rectangle with darker colors on the edges to lighter colors in the center. I then splashed watered down Gouache lightly tapping with a brush all over it. I stamped the star images from the North Pole or Bust set three times and the sentiment from the Cosmic Christmas set using Versamark ink and then white heat embossed. After the the watercolored piece dried, I stamped the image from the Cosmic Christmas set directly onto it to use as a guide. I then stamped the same image again onto Copics X-Press It cardstock, colored with Copics and fussy cut out. The image was then attached to the background panel using foam tape. I used a white and clear Sakura Gelly Roll pen for the light strand.
Products: The Cat's Pajamas stamps, Ranger and PTI cs, Sukura pen, Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors, Versamark and MFT ink

Front
Inside
For my last card, I created an inside shadowbox card using YouTube instructions from Jennifer McGuire. After stamping two of the cute Christmas gnome images from the new Gnome for the Holidays set onto Copics X-Press It cardstock, I colored both with Copic markers and fussy cut out. I used the previously released Going Round and Round die and a plain circle die to to cut a border from pure poppy cardstock and backgrounds from soft stone patterned paper. For the inside I did add an acetate window for the circle opening to provide more stability for the gnome. I added snowflake inside and another outside of the shadow box both cut from iced aqua cardstock using the new 5 Snowflakes set along with a gnome. The card front gnome was attached to same circle combo using foam tape. The sentiment was stamped directly onto the card front using pure poppy ink. A border was cut from iced aqua cardstock using the new Snowflake Border die. I snipped one snowflake off so it would fit in landscape mode and then added sparkly enamel dots to the snowflake centers. Another small sentiment from the previously released Fat Cat Christmas was stamped on the inside, leaving room for a signature.
