Today we are making a big switch from summer to Christmas highlighting the new Sketchy Santas stamp set and the Joyeux Noel die set for a Christmas in July which as you I hope you know is also our TCP Tuesday challenge for the month! A coincidence? I think not.
I created two cards for today as the images are easy and quick to color which is perfect when one needs to make a lot of Christmas cards like me.
I stamped one of the santa images onto Neenah cardstock, colored with Copic Markers and added Nuvo drops for the tree ornaments. I framed the image using the previously released Square Stamp CutUps cut from patterned paper. For the card front, I stamped two of the postal images from the previously released J*lly H*liday set using new leaf and gala red ink plus the sentiment also in gala red. A small strip of paper at the bottom along with a few Nuvo drops completed a postal themed Christmas card.
Products: The Cat's Pajamas stamps and dies, Lawn Fawn and Doodlebug dp, PTI cs, Nuvo Crystal Drops, PTI, WPlus9 and Altenew ink, Copic Markers
Copics: Santa-E00, E01, W00, E81, YG01, YG03, YG23, R30, R32, R35, N1, N3; Tree-G40, G43, G46, E35; Santa Sack-G000, G00, G02
For a completely different look I used the new Ho Ho Ho die to cut from stone cardstock, then again from silver metallic cardstock for the insert pieces. I also cut a layer from plain white cardstock, running through only once so the inserts would stay in place. I glued the two layers together, added the silver inserts and used duck egg blue Nuvo drops for the smaller inserts. Using the completed diecut as a guide, I stamped a different santa from the new Sketchy Santa set directly onto a linen cardstock piece cut with a stitched die. After coloring the santa, I attached the diecut and a few of the new Clear Holographic sequins for a clean and simple Christmas card.
