The September TCP Tuesday challenge is Layer Up. Show us your layers. You have until the end of the month to complete a project and TCP products are not required. And an added bonus is the $50 gift voucher some lucky artist will win.
First of all, I am not a layer girl. I usually leave that up to some of other design team girls. We are a well rounded group with different styles and it was planned that way. But it never hurts to try and stretch yourself every now and then. I had to kinda chuckle when this card was finished though because even though I did layer up it still reflects my CAS style.
I used the Village Snowglobe Duo Die to cut from patterned paper and cardstock to create a snowy Christmas village. I tried to have the lights on in some rooms and off in the others just as a house would look at night. I attached the piece to a patterned paper background adding an extra strip using foam squares with silver thread wrapped around it for a bit of sparkle. The sentiment from the Nature's Christmas Tree set was stamped direct to paper with pure poppy ink.
