Welcome back for more The Cat's Pajamas July Sneak Peeks. There are 5 new stamp sets and 8 new die sets in this release. Two of the die sets coordinate with two of the stamp sets. The matching stamp/die sets will be available to purchase separately or as a bundle with special pricing. All the new products will be available for purchase as revealed throughout the week with the full release on July 28 at which time there will be additional discounting known in the TCP world as the Kitty Kat or Poochie Pack. Todays sneak peeks include the new Hello Winter, Cardinal Duo and Gnome dies.
For my first card, I stamped and cut the penquin from the new Warmest Wishes set and colored with Copic markers. I then used the new Hello Winter die to cut from red cardstock for an inlaid diecut effect onto a white cardstock panel. I blended ink onto the panel to represent a frozen pond, then stamped the splashes also from the new Warmest Wishes set. I looped the fishing pole in the diecut sentiment and attached the image with dimensional foam. Lastly, I added a small patterned paper banner, enamel dots and a layered snowflake cut from red and white cardstock using the Five Snowflakes die .

For my second card, I used one of the dies from the Cardinal Duo set to cut the branches from white cardstock, then cut out the bird portion again from red cardstock and trimmed to fit. The third die from the set was used to emboss the circle onto pinefeather cardstock panel. The sentiment from the new Warmest Wishes set was white heat embossed onto the background panel and then the branches/cardinal was attached within the embossed circle. A few Holeless Clear Holographic sequins added a bit of sparkle to a masculine Christmas card.

I certainly couldn't resist using the new and adorable Gnome die! You can exchange his hat and move his hands/gloves to different spots as well as making him shorter or taller. I cut him out from various patterned paper, then cardstock for the beard, nose and shoes (one of the shoe dies also represent an oval nose). I attached the image using foam dimensionals to a piece cut from textured cardstock and patterned paper using the leftover diecuts from one of yesterday's projects that were cut using the Rectangular Stamp CutUps. I attached it to the prepared background and stamped the sentiment from the Warmest Wishes set using pure poppy ink.

ReplyDeleteThe green is an optical illusion.
ReplyDeleteAt first I thought the green was
over-lapping the white, then
realized there is a scalloped
edge. It's a great card.
