Warning! This is a picture heavy post! My grandchildren have moved out of state and I miss them terribly. Plus I worry about them daily but I guess that is part of being a grandmother. Twelve days of small Christmas packages arriving in the mail (beginning after Thanksgiving) - I hope - will make us both feel a little closer even though we are miles apart.
The CAS Christmas August Challenge prompted me to get started early. I first stamped and die cut all the images from the SugarPea Designs Every Day is Christmas set. Then I cut all the card bases and linen cardstock fronts. At that point I fully intended only making the first three cards and set the rest aside to finish at leisure. But once the foundations were done, I just couldn't stop! I basically designed the twelve card fronts in one afternoon by limiting my colors and patterned paper in addition to diecutting and ink blending as I went along. On another short afternoon, I stamped the 12 Days of Christmas sentiments using pure poppy and green parakeet ink, then cut out with a stitched die. I also attached the completed panels to the card front. On another day, I colored all the images with Copic markers and attached to each card with foam dimensionals. A few have extra sentiments from the Feeling Sentimental set which I could not find in the SugarPea store so it is possibly retired.

I actually did a 12 Days of Christmas for my step-granddaughters when they were small but in a different format and it was a big hit. I am feeling quite proud of myself for getting a head start this time.

Fantastic set of cards, Nancy!! The grandkids will love them and the little gifts too!! A friend of mine does this for my parents but does 25 days - December 1st right to Christmas - so fun!! No cute cards like yours, though, that would be a gift in themselves!!
