O Holy Night

For the first day of Advent I am featuring a Nativity themed card.

I actually created this card some time ago but just never posted it. Although I recorded the products I used and the Copic markers to color it, I don't really remember that much about it. I do know the background was ink blended then I used a stencil and some paper glaze to create the starry background. The stamps and dies are from the Sunny Studio Holy Night set.

Products: Sunny Studio stamps and dies, Picket Fence studios Paper Glaze, Miss Ink Stencil,  Altenew, My Favorite Things and Ranger Distress ink, Copic Markers
Copics: Mary-E00,E01, E53, E55, W00,E81, B41, B32; Joseph-E00, E01, E21, E23, BG70, BG72, BG75, 341, E42; Manger/Baby Jesus-E00, E01, Y13, Y15, E81,YR30, Y21; E31, E33,Stable-E31, E33, E35, YR30, Y21, Y23, Y02, Y15; Lamb-W00,E81,T1, T3; Donkey-W00, W1, W2, W5

Enjoy this advent season.

Fruit of the Spirit

Today's three faith based cards were created for Grace Klein here in Birmingham (@grace_klein_community). This is a wonderful faith based organization that has many charitable endeavors both locally and globally. Their goal is to give out 100,000 scripture based cards this year to be included with the food boxes, clothing etc. They want cards in bundles of 25 which is daunting to our kind of card makers but my goal is to donate 100 cards by the end of the year. If you have any questions or want to join me, please send me an email or comment on this post and I will give you the details.

All three cards feature an Rubbernecker Stamps Galatians 5:22 stamp. Rubbernecker has been rebranded as Brass & Bliss

I used a Reverse Confetti tag die (sadly no longer in business) to cut from white cardstock and a piece from a older RC mini card pack. I stamped the sentiment onto the white tag using guava ink, then tied the two together with twine. For the background I added three rows of Illustrated Faith washi tape diagonally, then cut the panel with a stitched die. The tag set was attached using a layer of craft foam for added dimension.

Products: Brass&Bliss stamp, PTI cardstock, The Twinery twine, Illustrated Faith washi tape, Lil Inker Designs die, Simon Says ink

For my second card I stamped the sentiment onto a circle cut with The Greetery Nordic Circle dies. The orange slice from the Sunny Studio Slice of Summer stamps was stamped with marmalade and creamsicle inks and cut with the matching die. The lime and lemon were fortuitously already stamped and cut that I discovered in my die cut stash. A few sequins finished it up.

Products: Brass&Bliss stamp, Sunny Studios stamps and dies, The Greetery and MFT dies, Concord &9th and Altenew ink

For the last card, I used yet another Reverse Confetti die set to cut from cardstock and another piece from an older decorative mini cardstock pack also from Reverse Confetti (miss that company). I added 4 strips of different colored cardstock placed diagonally then cut with a stitched edge die. I found the flourish piece in my die cut bag and I slipped it underneath the stamped piece before attaching with a layer of craft foam.

Products: Brass&Bliss stamp, PTI and RC cs, My Favorite Things, Reverse Confetti and Lil Ink Designs dies, Altenew ink

These three cards represent cards #18, #19 and #20 for my bundle of 25 (because I found 12 cards in my stash that fit the scripture requirement).

I am submitting to the Word Art Wednesday challenge of Anything Goes - Weeks #655-656

Snow Happy

I had a head start on today's cards because I created the tags during the 25 Days of Tags Challenge last year. Both were in my snippets folder which seemed perfect for the current Christmas Kickstart Challenge #56 with a theme of "Christmas Snippets".

Both tag bases were cut from cardstock and patterned paper using dies from the Sunny Studio Build-a-Tag #1 set. I then stamped and cut the snow people and tree using the Feeling Frosty stamps and dies. I added them to card bases using strips of patterned paper.

Products: Sunny Studio stamps and dies, MFT dp, PTI cs, Divine Twine, Darice Embossing Folder, PTI and Atenew ink, Copic Markers
Copics: Snow People: G0000, W00, E81, YG01, YG03, R20, R22, R24, R81, RV11, RV13; Tree-YG01, YG03, YG13, YG17

I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday filled with family and good food!

Wishing You a Beautiful Autumn Season

We just suffered through one of the hottest and driest Septembers in history here in the south and October just recently changed to something tolerable. With that in mind I am sharing three fall themed projects.

Originally this project was to be just the tags attached to some baking goods but time and back problems curtailed my plans. Using lots of Sunny Studio products I started by cutting the tags from white cardstock and patterned paper from the pretty Colorful Autumn paper pad using dies from the Build-a-Tag #1 set. For tag #1 I stamped the leaves and acorn using the Beautiful Autumn stamp set and then cut out with the matching dies. For tag #2 I stamped the pumpkin and leaf from the Pretty Pumpkin set and cut out with the matching dies. I curled some twine to add to the top of the pumpkin. For the last tag, I stamped the flower and leaf from the Sunflower Fields set and also cut with the matching dies. All images were attached to the tag with a combo of glue and foam squares for dimension.

When attaching tags to a card, I like to keep the backgrounds simple so I added touches of patterned paper and stamped the sentiment from Beautiful Autumn stamp set using rich cocoa ink.

Products: Sunny Studios stamps and dies, Sunny Studio dp, PTI and Master's Touch cs, Hemptique and The Twinery twine, Memento ink, Wplus9, Catherine Pooler, Simon Says and PTI ink, Copic Markers
Copics: Maple Leaf-R39, Y15, Y38, YG03; Oak Leaf-R32, R35, R39; Acorn-E30, E31, E25, E27

Happy Fall Y'all!!

Tag You're It Challenge #91

Hello there. I am guest designing for the Tag You're It Challenge today. Check out this fabulous inspiration.

What's not to love? The fresh slices of all fruits, those sherbert colors? I looked at it rather literally and this is what I came up with.

I used the Sunny Studio Build-a-Tag #1 to create the tag from cardstock and patterned paper using the bottom border piece to make it a bit longer. I then stamped the fruits from the Sunny Studios Slice of Summer set and then cut out with the matching dies. The sentiment from the same set was stamped onto the circle tag cut from patterned paper. I then cut a matching tag shape from patterned paper and tied the three tags together using twine.

I love tag based cards so I added a matching border to the bottom of the card front and and used a die to emboss a center outline for a bit of added interest and then attached the tag set.

Stop by the Tag You're It Challenge blog to check out the design teams fabulous projects.

Have a great weekend.
