Today's card is for this week's The Cat's Pajamas Tuesday Challenge (TCPTUES161) which is an inspiration challenge. I took my inspiration from the colors of pink and green. I'm using the Wet Puddle stamp again. I have definitely got my money's worth out of this stamp! This time I also added the clouds and pinwheel from another TCP set, What a Blast. I used the Pinwheel Cutups to add another small pinwheel on top of the stamped one. I paperpieced a lot of this and colored the rest with Copic markers.
I thought I would also share with you a stamp mishap while working on this card. I stamped the image, masked it, then stamped the puddle portion. I was reaching for the stamp pad to stamp the pinwheel at the top when I fumbled it and naturally it landed right on my image.
Definitely had to have a do-over. Now if I had been planning on a grungy type card, I would have just left it, pretending it was part of my design plan all along!

Cute image and such a pretty card Nancy, love the soft colors! I hate it when I accidently drop the ink pad, it almost always means a do over!
ReplyDeleteIt's kind of cool here today but a lemonade still sounds good! It never occured to me that the hummingbird syrup could lead to tipsy birds...no wonder they crowd around the feeders in the summer! ;)
Super cute, Nancy! Can't tell you how many times I have made the same foible! ;)
ReplyDeleteHaha- done that too Nancy!!! Great card though! Love the pinwheel in front of the cool circle die!
ReplyDeleteWonderful card Nancy!! Great papers and the pinwheel addition is perfect! :)
ReplyDeleteOut of the mishap came an AWESOME card Nancy. I wasn't drawn to this set previously, but after seeing your card I want it. LOVE this!!!
