Joy to the World

Happy Monday morning to you. I know, I know...there is probably no such thing as a happy Monday. But hey, at least we are living and making our way through the world as best we can. I had another reminder how fragile life can be with the death of yet another close friend last week.

Today I have another card featuring  this week's My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club sketch challenge (MFTWSC86). I used the Santa again from Inspired by Christmas. I've really used this stamp set and am hoping MFT produces another fabulous Christmas set this season. I actually emailed some time ago and suggested an "inspired by" stamp based on the Nativity. Who knows if that will happen but it never hurts to ask! I am loving the new My Mind's Eye All is Bright pad so I colored up Santa in nontraditional colors to match the subtle color tones in the paper. The pad also contains some paper with a rich red color but just chose to not use it here. Some stitching, ribbon and buttons provided the finishing touches although I am not particularly happy with the bow.

  1. Sympathies for the loss of your friend. Your card is lovely with those pale shades of blue and cream. Such an unexpected, and nice change from the traditional Christmas colors.
