Green at Heart

I picked up a couple of pieces of the brand new Basic Grey Green at Heart collection and couldn't wait to cut into it. I have a major case of spring fever and the colors in this line reflect that.  I was especially drawn to the kite piece in the Pops package and paired it with one of the My Favorite Things Pure Innocence stamps along with some Au Dela Des Cimes paper from my stash.  I created the illusion of hills using the BG floral piece and then sewed the hills and the background onto the card.  I then stamped the image with Memento Black Tuxedo ink onto Prism Simply Smooth cardstock.  I cut out the image and mounted to the card background with adhesive only at her tummy allowing her to curve forward a bit.  I placed a small pop dot underneath her head to make sure she stays that way when mailed.  I placed the kite piece so that the tails are wrapped around her little hand.

I am also submitting this card for this week's Simon Says Challenge which is for Easter or Spring with sparkly things.
