Hebrews 4:16

Today's card is for the Viva la Verve July Week 3 sketch. I am in need of more faith based cards as I have teamed up with the Pastoral Care/Prayer Minister at my church as a small mission. She sends me names and address from the prayer list that she thinks would be cheered by a handmade card. Most of the times I am sending to members or family/friends of members who are home bound due to various reasons.

When I first saw this week's sketch I wasn't sure which direction to go but after I started looking through my stamps the ideas starting flooding. Then it was a matter of deciding on which one to use. I stamped the sentiment from the Verve New Mercies set with black ink onto a patterned paper panel. I then stamped the small greenery piece from the same set with Spring Rain ink onto opposite corners of the panel. After attaching to another patterned paper panel, I added the two strips at the top and in the lower right corner. I stamped the cross from the Weary World set onto Soft Stone cardstock using Delicata Silver Shimmer ink and then cut out with the matching die from the Starry Stable die set. I wrapped silver thread around here and then attached it using foam tape with a swirl of silver thread underneath. A strip of tiny pearls finished it up.

Products: Verve stamps and dies, My Mind's Eye and Studio calico dp, PTI and Bazzill cs, MFT and Lil Inker Designs dies, Simon Says and Delicata inks

It's going to be a busy week on the blog as The Cat's Pajamas sneak peeks start tonight. I hope to see you here for them.
