The Cat's Pajamas March Sneak Peeks

Welcome to the The Cat's Pajamas Sneaky Peek Week! We have three new stamp sets and three new dies which will be released on March 20 in the TCP storeJulie kicked us off with some fantastic projects yesterday and today I am the featured designer.

First up is the adorable new Special Delivery set. Seriously I could have used every image in this set to showcase. After cutting a stitched circle, I stamped the image and sentiment onto the banner and colored with Copic markers. I wanted the image to really shine so I kept the design very simple, adding a strip of patterned paper and a few enamel dots.

Products: The Cat's Pajamas stamps, Doodlebug dp, PTI cs, MFT ink, Copic Markers
Copics: Mouse-E40, E41, E42, R20; Pail-C00, C1, C3, B41, B32, B34; Flowers-Y11, Y13, G40, G43, RV10, R81, R83; Banner-W00, E81, B41, B32; Grass-G40, G43

Do you ever watch the tiny house shows on HGTV? I admit I am intrigued with them. We downsized to a smaller garden home last year and let me tell you, it was difficult! So although I love the less is more concept not sure a tiny house would work for us. Anyway, these tiny houses,  also from the new Special Delivery set, remind me of those shows.

I used the new Spring Tag Duo die to cut a tag from Neenah cardstock and then stamped the three house images plus the sentiment at the top. I connected the landscaping with a Copic Multiliner pen. Since the images were small I limited the Copic markers colors. I added a strip of patterned paper at the bottom of the bottom of the tag and a matching piece to the card front. The completed tag was then attached to the panel using a layer of craft foam. Simple and easy!

Copics: Houses-Y11, Y21, 0, B41, B32, W00, E81; Landscaping-Y13, G40, G43

Next up, I prepared the card front by using images from the the older and a favorite set of mine Watercolor Basics to add some splashes of colors and a stripe at the bottom for a background to the sentiment from another older and favorite set Simply Said. Then I was ready for the new release items! I used two of the dies from the Oval Scroll Duo set to cut from patterned paper as well as a butterfly using one of the dies from the new Butterfly Trio set. After attaching the scroll piece to the card front I layered the small oval center and the butterfly and added to the card front using foam tape. A small strip of contrasting patterned paper added some punch to the color scheme and a few enamel dots finished it up.

Products: The Cat's Pajamas stamps and dies, Doodlebug and Kaisercraft dp, PTI cs, Doodlebug enamel dots, PTI and Simon Says ink

Since one of the images from the Watercolor Basics looked somewhat like a coffee ring, I stamped it directly onto the card front using kraft ink and then another for some "splashes." The sentiment and some of the smaller images from the from the new Sponsored By were also stamped onto the card front. After stamping the main image onto Copics  X-Press It cardstock, I colored with Copic markers and fussy cut out. After attaching to the card using foam tape for dimension, I also colored the smaller images and added a strip of patterned paper to the bottom.

  3. We are also thinking of downsizing... I wonder if it would work for us. Sometimes, I think that all I need is a kitchen, bed, and my craft room! lol.

I love the coffee card. 'Tis true - you should always start your day with a perfect cup!
