I stamped Gingy with his icing bag onto Copics X-Press It cardstock, colored with Copic markers and then fussy cut out. I also stamped the image onto the tag shape cut from patterned paper and used it as a guide to position the inked image. The sentiment came from another stamp set and I added a trio of enamel dots. I added some Ranger Glossy Accents to the "icing" portion of the image as the last step. The paper is all from last year's Pink Paislee City Sidewalks with a small piece from Crate Paper.
Products: Sweet November stamp, Pink Paislee dp, American Crafts ribbon, My Mind's Eye enamel dots, Ranger Glossy Accents, Spellbinders Nestabilities, Copic markers
Copics: E50, E53, E57, R22, R24, R27, W00, E81, B41, B32
My second card is tag based also as apparently I am still not over my tag love yet. I stamped Gingy sitting on a rolling pin onto kraft cardstock and then cut into a tag shape eliminating part of the image but also allowing part of the rolling pin to fall outside of the tag shape. I colored with a combination of Prismacolor pencils and Copic Markers. After adding a tag topper I inserted a couple of ribbons through the tag hole and secured with a button and some twine. The sentiment came from the also new for this month, C.C. Designs AmyR Joyful Greetings and I stamped it with Stampin' Up ink. I finished things up with some buttons and sequins. The paper is all from an older Crate Paper pad Snow Day.

ReplyDeleteSo so cute! I love your first card and the color scheme of it. I think he looks just adorable how you have colored him. I also just love how you have kept up with your tags and made two cards for each set of stamps. That is very helpful to see just how many ways you can go with these sweethearts. Sorry I am so behind on my blogging this week. Been busy at work and been out every night after taking kids for haircuts and more school supply needs. Ggggrrrrr. Money money money.. lol... Have a great day tomorrow. Hugs, Lisa
ReplyDeleteVery sweet cards!
ReplyDeleteI, for one, am thoroughly enjoying all of your different tags and these two cards are no exception! That first card brings to mind the delicious combo of chocolate and peppermint with it's great mix of colors and prints. And I adore how you placed the rolling pin as part of that tag on the bottom card, and the stamping and coloring on kraft adds to the fab look!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for always creating such inspiring cards for these previews, I really appreciate it Nancy! :)
Really love your ideas with the tags! :)
