The Cat's Pajamas July Release Blog Hop

It is release day at the The Cat's Pajamas! Seven new stamps, five new dies, two new stencils. a new blending brush and new sequins are available for purchase in The Cat's Pajamas shop.

We are celebrating the release with a blog hop. If you arrived here from the extremely talented Julee's blog you are in the right place. If not, then please return to Rebekah's blog because she is the beginning of the hop.

I wanted to do a second postage stamp themed card with another one of the santa images from the Sketchy Santas set. If you missed the first one, it was here. After stamping onto Bristol Smooth cardstock and then colored with Copic markers, the image was framed with the previously released Rectangular Stamp Die cut from patterned paper.  For the card front, I stamped two of the postal images from the previously released J*lly H*liday set using new leaf and hawaiian shores ink plus the sentiment in gala red.  The image piece was attached with a layer of craft foam. A few of the new Clear Holographic sequins around the image added a bit of sparkle.

Products: The Cat's Pajamas stamps and dies, Sunny Studios and Lawn Fawn dp, PTI cs, The Cat's Pajamas sequins, Simon Says die, WPlus9, PTI and Altenew ink, Copic Markers
Copics: E00, E01, W00, E81, YG01, YG03, YG23, R30, R32, R35, N1, N3, Y35

It's obvious that I love the Sketchy Santas set since with this card I managed to use all four santas during this release. And you will see them again at some point! After stamping the santa onto Copics X-Press It cardstock, it was colored with Copic Markers and fussy cut out. The background panel was created by blending pure platinum embellishment mousse over the stitched rectangle with the help of the Blizzard Stencil. I then cut the snowbank from textured cardstock using a die from the Hill and Dale CutUps. Before attaching to the panel, I cut off three of the trees on the landscape and substituted with the trees from the Village Snowglobe Duo Die cut from the same cardstock as the card base. The sentiment was stamped directly onto the snowbank piece and after attaching the santa with foam squares, a few of the Clear Holographic sequins were scattered around.

BRRRR!

The title above has nothing to do with the actual temperature. Here in Alabama we are practically on hell's front porch it is so hot. I wanted to squeeze in one more Christmas card for Christmas in July. I need about 50 more but at least it is a start.

I used the fun sketch from this week's Freshly Made Sketches #398 Challenge because it offers up such an interesting background for my little snowman. I stamped an image from The Cat's Pajamas Watercolor Basics stamp set using garden party, it's a boy and mint to be inks for the background. I should really just keep this set on my craft table permanently I use it so much. I then stamped the snowman, sign and bird from the Neat and Tangled Snow Fun set onto Neenah cardstock, cut out with the matching Snow Fun dies and colored with Copic Markers. The images were then attached to the image panel using foam squares and lastly three snowflakes from the were were stamped with gala red ink.

Products: Neat and Tangled stamps and dies, The Cat's Pajamas stamp, PTI cs, Catherine Pooler, WPlus9 ink and Altenew ink, Copic Markers

{The Cat's Pajamas Sneak Peeks} From Us to You

Welcome back to the last day of The Cat's Pajamas sneak peeks. There are 7 new stamp sets, 5 die sets, two stencils and one new holeless sequins set in this release. All the new products will be made available for purchase as revealed throughout the week with the full release tonight at which time there will be special discounting.

Today we are highlighting the new From Us to You stamp set for a Christmas in July which is also our July TCP Tuesday challenge!

Most of the time my projects are a little more contemporary in design but this sweet image made we want to try a more vintage look even though it is not my forte for sure. I do think the vintage look is great for masculine cards which I actually need for my Christmas card list. I stamped the image onto a stitched Neenah cardstock rectangle panel and partially stamped the bear image twice which is from the previously released This Could Be Vodka set to add to the critter count. After coloring with Copic Markers I used the Big Beautiful Blending Brush (which I cannot describe how much I love!) to blend antique linen distressed ink around the edges for a vintage look. The image was attached to a patterned paper background with a layer of craft foam and then another strip of vintage styled patterned paper was added along with Nuvo Bottle Green and Pale Gold drops.

Peace, Love and Joy

I am squeezing in a project for the Tag You're It #92 Challenge in between creating projects for my design teams. I wish I had time to do this challenge more often because I do love tags. July has just been a crazy, busy month.

Using simply chartreuse, pure poppy, fine linen, rich cocoa and tuxedo black inks, the various forest icons from the Papertrey Ink Forest Floor: Winter Stamp set were stamped and then cut out with the matching dies.  The various stamped pieces were layered onto a patterned paper tag cut with the Tag Sale #6 die with the cluster of flora tied together with black cord. Before attaching the tag with a layer of craft foam, I stamped another of the flora pieces twice onto the card front using soft stone ink and added a simple patterned paper border at the bottom.

Products: Papertrey Ink stamps an dies, Echo Park dp, PTI cs, Hemptique Cording, PTI and Memento ink

I hope you are having a blessed Sunday.

{The Cat's Pajamas July Sneak Peeks} Nature's Christmas Tree & Happy Holidays

Welcome back to another day of The Cat's Pajamas sneak peeks. There are 7 new stamp sets, 5 die sets, two stencils and one new holeless sequins set in this release. All the new products will be made available for purchase as revealed throughout the week with the full release on July 30 at which time there will be special discounting. Today we are highlighting the new Nature's Christmas Tree stamp set and the Happy Holidays CutUps for a Christmas in July which as you I hope you know is also our July TCP Tuesday challenge.

I love all the stamps and dies for this release but today's set holds a special place in my heart. I especially love the modern trees so that was my focus for the two projects.

For my image piece, I cut a stitched rectangle from Neenah cardstock, then used the outside die from the also new Village Snow Globe CutUps. I used the resulting center piece cutout to stamp the rows of trees in various cool yet bright colors, along with the border at the bottom. I used the banner piece portion of the new Joyeux Noel CutUps from a combo of cardstock and patterned paper, then stamped the sentiment onto it. I inserted the image piece back into the cutout, then placed the label underneath using a layer of craft foam for dimension. After added the border at the bottom, a few enamel dots finished it up.

Products: The Cat's Pajamas stamps and dies, Honey Bee dp, PTI cs, Doodlebug enamel dots, Catherine Pooler ink

For my second card, I cut pierced circle from Neenah cardstock and patterned paper, then stamped the row of trees, stars and border using a bright and non-traditional color palette. I used a simple patterned paper background to the front panel, then attached the image panel as well as the sentiment cut from white cardstock using the also new Happy Holidays CutUps. To finish it up I added a hemp cord bow and a trio of dots using Nuvo crystal drops.

Products: The Cat's Pajamas stamps and dies, Lawn Fawn and Honey Bee dp, PTI cs, Nuvo Crystal Drops, Hemptique cord, Catherine Pooler ink

This would be a great set to make multiples with as it is mostly very easy stamping.
