The Cat's Pajamas New Release Blog Hop and TCP Tuesday

It is release day for The Cat's Pajamas! All four of the new stamp sets and five fabulous new Cutups dies are available in The Cat's Pajamas shop. Don't forget that the Sending CutUps is free with a $65 purchase or you may purchase it outright.

We are celebrating the release with a blog hop. If you came here from our very talented guest designer Michele Boyer's blog, then you are right on track. If not, then start at Julie's blog to follow along.

Along with the Spring Blog Hop it is also the first day of the TCP Tuesday #313 Flowers Challenge. See the full details on The Cat's Pajamas blog which is also the last stop on the hop.

I put the new Sketchy Flowers set to work again by stamping four of the images from the set onto pieces cut with the matching free Cutables that Alma provides with each release and then colored with Copic Markers. I placed them on a water colored background that I had in my stash with a combination of foam dots and glue. I'm not sure of the background colors because often times I will just sit and do backgrounds to just experiment and have ready when I need them. I really should at least write down the colors on the back so I can share. The prayers sentiment from the Simply Stacked Sentiments set was stamped directly onto the panel using black ink.

Products: The Cat's Pajamas stamps, Ranger Watercolor cs, Simon Says ink, Memento ink, Copic Markers
Copics: YG0000, YG01, YG13, BG0000, BG000, BG01

I hope you have enjoyed all the sneak peeks, chatting and the shopping over the past week! To continue the blog hop, please pop on over to Jessie's blog.

{The Cat's Pajamas Sneak Peek} Square Stamps CutUps

Welcome to the last day of The Cat's Pajamas sneak peeks. The Pajama Party is tonight (Monday) on our Facebook page. We have fun chatting, showing you even more projects using the new stamps and dies and play games for which you can win Cat Cash to apply toward purchases!

Today we are highlighting the new Square Stamps CutUps. You have seen these throughout the sneak peeks but we thought they deserved a special day just for them.

I used the bigger of the two stamp dies, cutting from both turquoise and green card stock. I used the Small Envie CutUps to cut from vellum and and then secured together with a small card stock heart cut using the same set.  I used the center of the smallest postage die to cut the envie insert onto which I added a heart which was cut with one of the dies from the Nested Hearts CutUps. I then cut out the Sending sentiment three times from white cardstock and layered them together for dimension. The Sending die is free with a $65 purchase or you may purchase it. The big sentiment from the Sending You set was stamped directly onto the card base. I finished it up by wrapping some twine around the top.

{The Cat's Pajamas Sneak Peek} Sketchy Flowers

Welcome to day six of The Cat's Pajamas sneak peeks. Today we are featuring the new Sketchy Flowers set. You will be amazed at the gorgeous projects produced from this set.

I wanted to show you that even if you don't like to color you can still use this set so
I stamped one of the images three times in a random manner onto a white card stock rectangle using Daffodil Delight ink. Easy peasy. I attached the stamped piece to a patterned paper background using a layer of craft foam. I then cut out the Sending sentiment three times, two from white and one from black cardstock. I layered them together, offsetting the black layer just a bit for contrast. The Sending die is free with a $65 purchase or you may purchase it. The prayers sentiment from the Simply Stacked Sentiments set was stamped using Versamark ink onto a strip of black card stock and then white heat embossed. A few enamel dots as embellishments finished it up.

{The Cat's Pajamas Sneak Peek} Sending You

We are on day five of The Cat's Pajamas sneak peeks. Today we are featuring the new Sending You set.

I stamped one of the cute images from the set onto a piece cut with the matching free Cutables that Alma provides with each release and then colored with Copic Markers. After cutting the image panel I stamped the postage stamp sentiment and cancellation mark and a couple of the envie images which were positioned behind the bunny image in the image above. I used the previously released Slider dies to create movement. See Alma's video to see how this die works.

When you pull the tab the two envie images are revealed as well as the rest of the sentiment which are all from the same set. I actually made the card base a half inch smaller in width so that even with the addition of the pull tab, it would still fit inside an A2 envelope.

{The Cat's Pajamas Sneak Peek} Hello There

Is it already day four of the The Cat's Pajamas sneak peeks? Are you making a list of your favorites? Today we are showcasing the new Hello There CutUps.

I LOVED this die the minute I found it in my design team package. You can go as simple or as detailed as you want to be with this one. As you can see, I went simple even though I originally thought I would use it with the new Sketchy Flowers set to be showcased in a couple of days from now. Bear with me as I have a "grandmother" type story for this one. My daughter-in-law dropped off my two year old granddaughter bright and early one morning. So early, that my husband was still in the bed. So when he got up and walked into the family room with us, he said to her "well hello there sunshine". Thus, the idea was born for this card.

I prepared the background by using the smooshing on acetate technique with Bright Buttercup ink onto Ranger Distress Watercolor card stock. I then stamped the sentiment from the also new Sending You set which will be featured tomorrow directly onto the panel using Orange Fizz ink. I die cut out the Hello There sentiment three times, layering them for added dimension. The "sun" was cut from patterned paper using a die from the County Fair CutUps which is one of my favorite dies ever. I topped the sun with an enamel dot and added some tiny yellow sequins to finish it up.

{The Cat's Pajamas Sneak Peek} Friendship

We are on day three of The Cat's Pajamas sneak peeks. Today we are featuring the new Friendship set.

This is a super cute set. I used Versafine ink to stamp one of the images and a partial sentiment onto the center piece cut with the largest die from the also new Square Stamp CutUps. I then clear heat embossed it and then finished the sentiment by directly stamping onto the card base, also clear embossing. The image piece was attached to the base with a layer of craft foam. A scattering of enamel dots finished up a clean and simple card.

Products: The Cat's Pajamas stamps and dies, PTI  cs, Doodlebug enamel dots, Versafine ink, Copic Markers

{The Cat's Pajamas Sneak Peek} Comic Balloons

I am back today with another The Cat's Pajamas Sneak Peek. Today we are showcasing the new Comic Balloons dies and the Sun Cutable.

My card today features the same image as yesterday but this is a male version of My Hero. I used the Sun Cutable to create the rays, cutting it with a circle die after cutting it out with my Silhouette and layering onto a patterned paper circle. The image was attached to the circle with foam tape. I cut a combination of the Comic Balloons and the Boom (word) CutUps from various colors of card stock placing around the image circle. The sentiment was stamped directly onto the card base.

{The Cat's Pajamas Sneak Peek} My Hero

Welcome to the first day of The Cat's Pajamas sneak peeks! Over the next seven days The Cat Pack along with a few very special guest designers will be showcasing four new stamp sets and five new CutUps. This is one of my favorite releases so let's get the week started with the new My Hero set.

I stamped my little hero version onto a piece cut with the matching free Cutables that Alma provides with each release and then colored with Copic Markers in girly colors. I cut a piece from patterned paper using a die from the Holiday Toppers CutUps set, attached it to a piece cut from textured white card stock and then stamped the sentiment directly onto it. I slipped a couple of pieces cut with one of the dies from the new Comic Balloons CutUps underneath before attaching the stamped image to the prepared background with craft foam.
