It's review time on the C.C. Designs Rubber Stamps blog and I am joining other members of the design team in showing you more projects using the November release stamps and dies.
Today's card features the Sweet Penguins set which I colored with Copic Markers. I cut the rectangular patterned paper piece and then punched out circles, replacing with the three penguin images. The sentiment from the also new AmyR Christmas Sentiments II was stamped onto a banner cut with the C.C. Designs Scrolling Banners CutUps. I kept things CAS just adding a snowflake cut with the new C.C. Designs It's Snowing CutUps along with a smattering of Doodlebug enamel dots and sequins. The patterned paper came from the My Mind's Eye Winter Wonderland from last year.
Products: C.C. Designs stamps and Cutters, My Mind's Eye dp, Memento and Memento Luxe inks, Doodlebug enamel dots, Copic Markers

Frost Penguin
I am feeling a bit crazed these days. One minute I'm doing Christmas projects and the next I'm working on Thanksgiving. I guess it just goes with this time of the year, huh?
I couldn't resist the new Stacey Yacula collection over at Purple Onion Designs. I only got about half of what I really wanted! I love penguins so "Frost" definitely had to be on the list. He's fun and cute and easy to color. I kept things simple with lots and lots of white space. I paired him up with a Spellbinders Nestie set I've had a while but never used, placing Frost last with dimensional dots to give him a bit more presence. The paper came from the Lawn Fawn Peace Joy Love pad which is a real favorite this year and I added a smattering of Lawn Fawn matching sequins. I am submitting this for the current Lawnscaping Challenge #70 to use polka dots and also for the Catered Crop Animal House challenge.
Products: Purple Onion Designs stamp, Lawn Fawn dp and sequins, Spellbinders Nestabilities, Copic markers
Copic markers: W00, E81, N1, N3, N5, N7, YR20, YR23, R22, R24, R27
And by the way, The Cat's Pajamas has an awesome Black Friday and Cyber Monday sale starting today!! This is your chance to stock up on TCP goodness!
Thanks for stopping by!

Thanksgiving Cards
Happy Monday to you. I'm in a frenzy to get everything ready for Thanksgiving dinner and out of town family in between trips to physical therapy. It's definitely been busy around here as I'm sure it is around your house too.
I managed to get a couple of Thanksgiving cards completed this weekend which is a good thing as I need to get them in the mail asap if they are to get there on time. I used the Paper Smooches Autumn Groves stamp set and patterned paper from the Lawn Fawn Into the Woods for both. All the stamped images were fussy cut out after coloring with Copic Markers. For the first card, I used the birch tree patterned paper as my image background cut with Spellbinders Nestabilities rectangular shape. Lots of leaves, a pumpkin and the scarecrow along with the birch tree were included for an autumnal scene.
For the second card, I cut a circle from the woodgrain patterned paper for the image background using Spellbinders Nestabilities. I stamped and colored the same scarecrow, pumpkin and leaves images as the first card except that I added the small acorn and switched out the type of tree. I placed the image scene on the card background with dimensional dots and slipped some buttons underneath. I added a sentiment from the Verve Tall Oaks set stamped onto a banner shape cut with Reverse Confetti Tag Me die set. Another banner shaped strip of patterned paper anchored with a button tied with twine finished it up.
Products: Paper Smooches stamps, Lawn Fawn dp and sequins, Verve stamp, PTI ribbon and buttons, Spellbinders Nestabilities, Copic Markers
Copics: Trees/Leaves/Pumpkin-W00, E81, W1, W2, W5, YR30, YR31, YR23, G40, YG11, G43, YR12, YR14, YR16, E31, E34, E39; Scarecrow-E000, E00, E13, R20; BG70, BG11, BG72, Y21, YR23, E35, YR30, YR31, YR23, YR12,YR14, YR16, E31, E34, E39

{The Cat's Pajamas TCP Tuesday} Snow Dudes
It's TCP Tuesday time again. Remember that even though it is a monthly challenge, you can enter as many times as you want. This month we are doing a "What's On Your Desk?" challenge. Specifically, make one card and then with the supplies and papers on your desk, make two more. My cards are all different but that is not a requirement.
I have another set today that I created for the TCP Tuesday challenge but actually previewed at last month's release Pajama Party at Splitcoaststampers. I used the Let the Flakes Fly set combining them with papers from last year's Doodlebug North Pole and this year's Home for the Holidays 6x6 pads since the colors are the same in both. Other common elements include snowflakes which are all left over from a previous project using the Snowflake Lace Paper CutUps, sequins and ribbon.
The first card uses the new Celebration Toppers as well as the guitar playing snowman displayed on a hand cut tag shape.
Card #2 uses the new Celebration Toppers again and features both snowmen on the main image panel. I drew in some lines on both snow dude's scarves with a Copics Multiliner pen to give them more of cabled sweater look and colored with Copic Markers.
Products: The Cat's Pajamas stamps and CutUps, Doodlebug dp, Michael's ribbon, Spellbinders Nestabilities, Copic Markers
Copics: Snowmen-W00, E81, R20, YR12, YR14, N1, N3, N5, R22, R24, R27, YG0000, YG01, YG03, YG25; Instruments-E30, E31, E34, YR30, YR31, YR23; Shadows-C00, C1
Here are the details to the challenge:
- The first Tuesday of the month Alma will post a challenge on The Cat's Pajamas blog. The challenge will also be posted on the TCP Splitcoaststampers forum and on the TCP Facebook page.
- If you want to play along you just upload your design right on The Cat's Pajamas blog using the InLinkz button. (The challenge button will be posted on the right hand column of th3 blog so you don't have to search around). If you want to display your pretties on Splitcoaststampers use keyword TCPTUESNOV13.
- The Challenge will be a month-long challenge and you can play as many times as you like during that month.
- Cards and projects must have at least one Cat's Pajamas Stamp or CutUps die in the project.
- On the First Monday of the Month a winner will be chosen from the previous challenge and crowned Swanky Stamper.
- The Swanky Stamper will not only be acknowledged as the Swankiest Stamper for that month, but will also receive some of the stamps from our next release and get to play along with us at our Pajamas Party and Blog Hop. AND... They'll even get a special spot in the Gallery highlighting the project that won them the gig AND a badge to display on their blog.
- The winner will be announced the First Monday of the month on Splitcoaststampers, Facebook page and the TCP Blog.

What Happens Under the Mistletoe
Today's card represents a two for one challenge going on over at Curtain Call and CAS-ual Fridays (CFC120) using the inspiration piece pictured here.
I started out by cutting a tag with a PTI die from patterned paper from the Lawn Fawn Peace Love Joy pad. After adding the ribbon folded over at the top, I attached the mistletoe die cut cut with the C.C. Designs Mistletoe Cutters using sequins to represent the berries. The sentiment is from The Cat's Pajamas Merry Everything set and was stamped with Stampin' Up Pear Pizzazz ink onto a sentiment strip cut with the Reverse Confetti Tag Me die set. I layered it across the bottom of the tag and anchored with a button/sequin combo. A strip of my favorite American Crafts glittery paper and some layered sequins completed the festive look.
Products: The Cat's Pajamas stamp, Lawn Fawn dp, American Crafts dp, C.C. Designs Cutters, May Arts ribbon, PTI die and buttons, Reverse Confetti die, Darice sequins, Stampin' Up ink
I think I might make a masculine version of this too.

The Best Gift of All
I have another Verve November Viva La Verve card today which is for week 2. I have to admit I disliked this sketch at first glance. I decided to go for a masculine look which automatically cut down on the frou frou. Placing all the elements against a plain white background also simplified it. I first cut the reindeer using the new Verve Reindeer Fun die and then stamped the matching image from the Unto Us stamp set with Stampin' Up Baked Brown Sugar ink. I stamped the sentiment from the My Favorite Things Clearly Sentimental About Christmas onto the sentiment flag using the same stamp pad. The trio of small flags were cut using the C.C. Designs Mini Banner Cutters and I added wood veneer stars to each one. I wrapped the twine around the vertical flag and then added more of the wood veneer stars to the trees in the patterned paper. The patterned paper came from the Glitz Design Hello December pad.
Products: Verve stamp and Die, Glitz Design dp, My Favorite Things sentiment, Hemptique twine, Studio Calico wood veneer stars, C.C. Designs Cutters, Spellbinders Nestabilities, Stampin' Up ink
Have a great weekend!! As always, thanks for stopping by.

Peace, Love and Sparkly Stuff
I received my Reverse Confetti order in the mail yesterday and I sat down that afternoon and made three cards using the Tinsel 'n Trim stamps and the Tag Me die set.
By using the November Sketch for You to Try for the basic layout and limiting myself to papers from one paper pad, Carta Bella Merry and Bright, a set of much needed Christmas cards came together very quickly. Lots of bling, embossing powders and sparkly papers added to the festive look.
I embossed two of the stamps onto white cardstock with Recollections embossed powder, placing them in and around the tag cut from MFT Sno Cone cardsock. The sentiment flag is a die from the same tag set. I added the glittery paper bow at the top using the MFT Dainty Bow Die-namics. I'll be honest and say I am not sure how I am going to get it in the mail without it being crushed. I slipped a piece underneath the tag which was cut using the small tag in the die set. Everything was placed on a plain white card base and I added sequins and jewels for more sparkle.
For the second card, I reversed the sketch and placed everything against a white dry embossed background. I used silver embossing powders for the sentiment and substituted the circle with a snowflake. I found the Prima swirl in my stash while looking for something else. It was actually just a snippet left over from a previous project but it fit the tag perfectly. I topped off the patterned paper tag with another one of the silvery bows, added another snowflake and some more bling.
For the final card I went a little more CAS look. I used a Cuttlebug embossing border folder a couple of times as a substitute for the bottom rectangular piece in the sketch. I cut the tag from a creamy glittery cardstock I found at Michael's and added yet another of the dainty bows although I changed the direction of the tails. The sentiment was embossed with silver embossing powder onto the flag shape cut from MFT Sno Cone cardstock. I also heat embossed the second stamped piece with silver powder and then cut out with Spellbinders Nestabilities.I don't know why it looks so mottled in the pic as it looks fine in person. A few jewels finished things up. This one was hard to get a good photograph for some reason but it is actually my favorite in the group. I am also submitting this one for the Case Study #166 challenge.
Products: Reverse Confetti stamps and dies, Carta Bella dp, American Crafts glitter dp, Recollections glitter cs, C.C. Designs Snowflakes dies, My Favorite Things Die-namics and cs, Prima swirl, OTC jewels, Bazzill and Cuttlebug embossing folders, Stampendous and Recollections embossing powder, Versamark ink
I'll be back tomorrow. Thanks for stopping by.

{The Cat's Pajamas TCP Tuesday} Vintage Holiday
TCP Tuesday for November is going strong. Remember that even though it is a monthly challenge, you can enter as many times as you want. This month we are doing a "What's On Your Desk?" challenge. Specifically, make one card and then with the supplies and papers on your desk, make two more. Yes, you read that right. Make three cards! My cards are all a bit different but that is not a requirement.
Although I made today's set for the TCP Tuesday challenge, I actually previewed them at last month's release Pajama Party at Splitcoaststampers. I used the TCP Vintage Holiday set and the Fancy Pants Merry Little Christmas paper pad for all of them cutting the images with the matching Framed Up CutUps. I used one one of the smaller images from the same set on each card, cutting out with a circle Spellbinders Nestie. They also include the same gold thread, buttons and die cuts.
For the first card I stamped the image with Versamark and then heat embossed with Black Diamonds embossing powder. I also stamped the small image from the same set with Memento Luxe Pistachio ink, heat embossed with clear embossing powder and then cut out with Spellbinders Nestabilities, I cut the star with one of the dies from 3x3 Stars CutUps which I then layered with a button tied with gold thread.
For the second card, I stamped the image with Stampin' Up Soft Sky ink and then stamped the "Dec 25" image with Memento Tuxedo Black and then cut out with Spellbinders Nestabilities, layering onto the snowflake cut with the Snowflake CutUps.
For card #3, I stamped the main image with Stampin' Up Raspberry Ripple ink. I then stamped the poinsettia image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then colored with Copic Markers after cutting out with Spellbinders Nestabilities. I wrapped the flourish cut with the Heart Swirl CutUps.
Products: The Cat's Pajamas stamps and CutUps, Fancy Pants dp, PTI buttons and cs, Kaisercraft pearls, Spellbinders Nestabilities, Stampin' Up ink, Versamark ink, Memento ink

Thankful for You - Brother (November Sketch for You to Try)
Good morning. My husband Don asked me to make a card for his brother's fall birthday so that was the perfect opportunity to also get the November Sketch for You to Try completed. I seem to always struggle with a masculine card so a sketch at least gets me jump started.
I started out by stamping the sentiment from the Reverse Confetti Forever Fall set using Hero Arts Wet Cement ink. I wrapped some twine around the sentiment piece several times, securing with a button. I also stamped and fussy cut out the chevron from the Reverse Confetti Arrow 'n Elements set and than added it to a circle stamped with a small PTI sentiment in Stampin' Up Baked Brown Sugar ink. I topped it off with a wood veneer star and then added a trio of them at the top of the card. The patterned paper all came from the Basic Grey Persimmon pad.
Products: Reverse Confetti stamps, Basic Grey dp, PTI sentiment and button, Hemptique twine, Studio Calico Wood Veneer stars, Spellbinders Nestabilities, Hero Arts ink, Stampin' Up ink
I like this sketch! I may have to do a Christmas version.

I started out by cutting the label with the Verve Classy Label die and then stamping the label image from the new Verve Unto Us stamp set using Memento Luxe Tuxedo Black ink. I embossed with Black Diamond embossing powder and then stamped the sentiment in the center using Stampin' Up Raspberry Ripple ink. I stamped the cross from the Notes of Prayer set also with Memento Luxe Tuxedo Black ink and heat set with Black Diamond embossing powder. I fussy cut it out adding a jewel in the center. A row of jewels and a small star cut with C.C. Designs Christmas Accessories Cutters and then popped up with dimensional dots finished things up. The patterned paper came from the Fancy Pants Merry Little Christmas pad.

Nehemiah 8:10
Today's card is for this week's Mojo Monday Sketch #318 challenge. I haven't had a chance to participate in a while so I took the opportunity to use the sketch for a sympathy card for my sister-in-law who recently lost her mother.
I first cut the tag shape using a PTI die although I shortened it a bit, then stamped the Verve Nehemiah 8:10 sentiment onto it using Memento Luxe Tuxedo Black ink. I added a twill ribbon bow at the top. Two rolled roses cut with My Favorite Things Die-namics anchored a flourish cut with The Cat's Pajamas Heart Swirl CutUps. All the patterned paper came from the Teresa Collins Family Stories pad.
Products: Verve stamp, Teresa Collins dp, My Favorite Things Die-namics, The Cat's Pajamas CutUps, PTI die and Twill ribbon, Memento Luxe ink
A short and sweet post today. as I am running late I hope you have a great weekend. Thanks so much for stopping by.
BTW, I have added some things to my sale page, cleaned up some links and reduced some pricing. Take a look if you have the time.

Happy Fall
I've been so busy with Halloween cards and then Christmas for the past three months that I realized that I had skipped over fall cards altogether! I started out by cutting the instant frame with a Lil Inkers Designs Instant Camera Die from kraft cardstock for the frame and paper from the Lawn Fawn Into the Woods 6x6 paper pad for the insert. I separated the sentiment from the Reverse Confetti Forever Fall set, stamping "Happy" onto the insert and "Fall" onto the frame both in Memento Rich Cocoa ink. I stamped the acorn also from the same set in Memento Luxe Pistachio and Potter's Clay and fussy cut out. After cutting the leaves using the Lawn Fawn Stitched Leaves dies, I inserted them inside the frame along with the acorn, using dimensional dots to bring them forward at the tips.
Products: Reverse Confetti Stamps, Lawn Fawn dp and Dies, My Mind's Eye button, Hemptique twine, Memento inks
That's it for the day. I hope you have a fantastic weekend.

I started out by stamping three of the four images and then cutting out with Spellbinders Nestabilities. After coloring the images with Copic markers, I set them aside to cut the three card bases using the largest piece from Spellbinders Nestabilities Lacey Squares. Next I cut the background panels from the Doodlebug Homes for the Holidays pad, cutting coordinating mats from various cardstock. I assembled the cards adding a sentiment from the new AmyR Christmas Sentiments II set cut with the Scrolling Banners Cutters. I added a strand of Christmas lights cut with the Ornament Border Cutters onto the card with the kitten drinking Santa's glass of milk, a glittery star cut with a piece from the Christmas Accessories Cutters for the kitten sleeping on Santa's hat and two ornaments cut with pieces which are also from the Christmas Accessories Cutters for the kitten playing with the Christmas ornaments on the tree. I added a matted Doodlebug enamel dot as the finishing touch for each card.

C.C. Designs New Illustrator Blog Hop
In celebration of Alberto joining our family of illustrators here at C.C. Designs Rubber Designs we are having a combined Blog Hop with the Shakey A designers.
We have three new images from Alberto available in both rubber and digital. Follow the hop and make sure to comment on each blog because one lucky commenter from one of these blogs will receive all three new digital images. You have until November 7 at 9:00am EST to comment. If you have arrived here from Eva's blog you are in the right place. If not, then return to the C.C. Designs blog which also has the complete blog hop list of participants.
My card features Ally the Cloud Catcher. I wanted the keep the color palette soft and ethereal to match up with patterned paper from last year's Carta Bella Merry and Bright pad. I kept the embellishments simple with a star cut with the Christmas Accessories Cutters which I anchored with a single sequin. The sentiment came from the also new AmyR Christmas Sentiments II which is a great set by the way! I could literally see myself using every sentiment in the set for my Christmas cards! I finished things up with a white twill bow. After adhering the image panel to the background with dimensional dots to give it a bit more presence, I added Ranger Stickles to the stars and then added Ranger Liquid Pearls to the dotted areas.
