A Fintastic Birthday

 I doubled dipped on challenges with today's clean and layered card featuring some patriotic colors.

I stamped images from the Catherine Pooler Refuse to Sink and Hook, Linker and Sinker stamp sets using vermillion, nautical blue and blueberry sky ink, then cut out using the matching dies. For the background panel I used a stitched rectangle die to cut from white linen cardstock then created the die cut with The Cat's Pajamas Balloon Frame set (which is 50% off right now), then backed with patterned paper. After stamping the fin and sentiment I attached all the stamped pieces with a foam dimensional.

Products: Catherine Pooler stamps and dies, Doodlebug dp, PTI cs, The Cat's Pajamas die, Memento, Ranger Archival, Memento and PTI ink

I used the colors from The Paper Players Tic Tac Toe challenge and theme and theme/colors/card style from The Card Concept #156.

Thank you for stopping by.

My next project is a tag using the fun new Tequila digital set using Photoshop Elements to create, then printed onto Copic friendly cardstock. Hang in There {Purple Onion Designs}

Hi there. I hope you are having a great week so far. I have another card for you from the Purple Onion Designs A Happy Little Place collection illustrated by the extremely talented artist Stacey Yacula.

I went more old school with the design of this card, meaning I used several pieces of patterned paper and also some lumpy embellishments. I cut the tag from Copic friendly cardstock, stamped the Clothesline onto it adding patterned paper at the top and bottom of the tag. To prepare the card front I used a stencil and distress ink on the background. It turned out a little brighter yellow than I wanted so I mixed some white acrylic paint with water and sponged it over the yellow to tone it down. An easy fix! I added patterned paper strips for the bottom border, then attached the tag to the card front. I clustered a small tag with a heart, the sentiment from the Around the Town Sentiment Set stamped onto black cardstock with Versamark white embossing power and attached to the top of the tag with a cluster of cording.  At that point, I though I was through but at the last minute I decided to add Anna (fox) which I fussy cut out after coloring then attached to the background with a small white cardstock circle using dimensionals for some added texture.

Products: Purple Onion Designs stamps, Catherine Pooler dp, PTI cs, Doodlebug clothespin, Hemptique Cording, Reverse Confetti and The Greetery dies, Altenew stencil, Altenew ink, Copic Markers
Copics: Clothing-R20, R24, R27, W00, E81, Y02, Y15; Basket-E70, E71; Posts-E31, E33, E34; Grass-YG01, YG03; Sky-BG0000, BG000

That's it for today. I hope you are enjoying the new collection and I am excited to see your creations using these sweet stamps.

Today's card is a mini slimline which also features an interactive feature that I created with a roller die. After stamping the new Countryside horizon image onto a Bristol cardstock rectangle, then blended in tumbled glass distress ink for the sky. I traced the horizon lines onto plain printer, cut it out then used it as a pattern so I could cut the "grassy" designer paper to atch the horizon. I then cut out another grass piece using one of the dies from the Slimline Basics CutUps. I cut out the roller section using a Roller CutUps and popped the piece up with foam dimensionals.  I stamped Anna (mouse) and the flowers from the Flora End Notes stamp from an earlier release and fussy cut out. The Cat's Pajamas Bunny Treat Box Cutable

Easter has really snuck up on me! But cutting files make it easy to get some cute projects completed before the big day.

As you may already know, TCP is in the process of converting to all digital which means both digital stamps as well as cutting files. The Bunny Treat Box I used on this project is available now. I used my Silhouette machine to cut cardstock for the basic bunny holder pieces, cheeks, nose and eyes and patterned paper for the insides of the bunny ears.

One can easily change the size of the box but I stuck with the smaller size as what I was placing inside was small. Although there is a super cute bow piece in the files I decided to use curl sheen to close the box and tie up front. Ribbon or twine would also be very cute.

You can see the slots better in the back which shows how I thread the ribbon through from back to front. There is a bunny tail piece in the files but I substituted a cotton ball. Easy peasy!

Check out the video to see how easy.

And don't forget we are clearing out the warehouse as we transition to digital. All physical product is 30% off during the month of April.

{Reminder} The Cat's Pajamas March TCP Tuesday Challenge

It's the mid-month reminder of the TCP Tuesday Challenge to use florals on a project. This is the last TCP Tuesday challenge and we really hope to go out with a bang!  You have until the end of the month to submit and TCP products are not required but encouraged. There is a $50 gift voucher up for grabs.

I made two cards using the same Patterned Petal Stamp and Die Bundle. I stamped the leaf scroll directly onto the linen background piece using lime rickey ink for both cards as well as a sentiment for each from the Simply Stacked Sentiments set which were stamped with black ink. The flowers were stamped with poppy and buttercup ink with black centers. Strips of patterned paper at the top and bottom provided more color. All the TCP stamps and dies are on sale right now as we transition to digital. The set is a real bargain with a large stamp set and four matching die sets. I am a wee bit partial to it as I had a hand in designing it.

Products: The Cat's Pajamas stamps and dies, Catherine Pooler dp, PTI cs, Catherine Pooler, Altenew and Concord & 9th inks

Post your projects here. And don't forget that all physical products are 20% off for the month of March.

Hello {Purple Onion Designs}

I have really been neglecting my Purple Onion Designs stamps and that is a real shame considering how darn cute the Stacey Yacula images are. And well, I am on the design team....

I stamped the Tulips as well as the Bloom No. 2 Daisy image onto separate pierced circles. On a third circle diecut I stamped both Bell (frog with flower) and Chloe (bunny with flower) as well as a sentiment from the Sweet Occasions Sentiment Set. All images were colored with Copic Markers. I used the layout from the Mojo Monday #555 Sketch by my sweet friend Julee.

Products: Purple Onion Designs stamps, Doodlebug dp, PTI cs, The Cat's Pajamas die, Copic Multiliner Pen, Altenew ink, Copic Markers
Copics: Tulips-BV000, BV00, BV01; Daisy-Y000, Y13, Y15; Flower Stems-YG01, YG11, YG13; Frog-G40, G43, G46; Bunny-E40, E41, E42, E44, R01, R02, BG000, E81; Grass-YG01, YG25

May You Find Comfort

It's rare I post two days in a row but those pesky challenge deadlines don't work in my favor some times!

Today's card is one of those that I unfortunately need a lot of these days. Sympathy cards aren't easy to make but a sketch from the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge (#475) certainly helped out.

I flipped the sketch around and used The Greetery Shiplap Builder dies to cut from kraft embossed cardstock to create the background. I then stamped the layered images from the largest branch from the Cotton Comforts set using gathered twigs, frayed burlap and rich cocoa from the branch and soft stone, stone and gathered twigs for the cotton bolls. After cutting out with the matching die, it was attached to the card front using foam dimensionals along with a trio of leaves cut with dies from the Botanicuts Mighty Oak set. Since I couldn't find a green cardstock I liked I cut from cream cardstock, then blended with forest moss ink. Both sentiments were also stamped in the forest moss ink.

Products: The Greetery stamps and dies, Ellen Hutson and PTI cs, Ranger Distress, PTI, RC and Memento ink

Have a fantastic week. Thanks or stopping by.

Easter Blessings

I have an Easter card for you today as Easter Sunday is rapidly approaching.

Using the colors from the current Color Throwdown #632 Challenge, I stenciled and stamped the images from The Greetery Easter Jubilee set onto Bristol Smooth cardstock. After cutting the panel with a die from the Nordic Frames set, I added the letters cut from white linen cardstock. The small sentiment was tone on tone stamped onto cardstock, then cut out with the die from the same set.

Products: The Greetery stamps, dies and stencils, PTI cs, WPlus9 and Pinkfresh Studio ink

I hope you are having a blessed Sunday.
