Believe

I am always sad when I don't use enough faith based stamps and dies for my Christmas cards. Afterall, Jesus is the Reason for the Season. Even though I use lots of different images for my Christmas cards I do always use a faith filled sentiment inside.

This card was sent to my pastor and features the Memory Box Drop Nativity die which I cut from white and gold metallic cardstock. For the background I used the Papertrey Ink Mix & Mat: Snowflakes Die to cut from white linen cardstock for a tone on tone look. The sentiment from the older PTI Star of Wonder set was stamped using Versamark ink, then gold heat embossed.

Products: Memory Box die, Papertrey Ink Sentiment stamp, cs and die, Michael's metallic cs, Versamark ink

My second card is also a faith based one. I used the Memory Box Nativity Circle die to cut from gold metallic cardstock, then backed with midnight cardstock. I then attached the piece to a piece cut with the Reverse Confetti Lacy Scallop Circles die. I cut the sentiment also from gold cardstock using the Poppy Stamps Believe Fresh Script die.

Products: Memory Box and Poppy Stamps dies, PTI, Concord & 9th and Michael's metallic cs, Reverse Confetti die

I wish for you a lovely and blessed holiday.

O Holy Night

O Holy Night is my favorite Christmas hymn so when Concord & 9th came out with the O Holy Night Bundle I snatched it up.

The Stardust color is my favorite in the Concord & 9th lineup and I doubled up on it with this card. I first stamped the big sentiment onto plain white cardstock using stardust ink, then cut out with the matching die. I stamped the small image onto the corner of a stardust cardstock stitched rectangle and white heat embossed. A few holeless sequins and a small metallic star finished it up.

For the second card, I stamped both the sentiment and the image directly onto the stardust cardstock piece using Versamark ink and white heat embossed. I added a few of the diecuts from the O Holy Night bundle anchored with the stardust enamel dots

Products: Concord & 9th stamps, dies and cs, PTI cs, Concord & 9th enamel dots and ink, Versamark ink

I sincerely hope that you find enjoyment in this holy season despite your troubles.

With Love & Joy

Me again. Today's card is (hopefully) already in the hands of the recipient.

I stamped a bunch of the Reverse Confetti Triangle Trees and cut with the matching die several months ago. I think these are the last of that group. I combined them with some older Reverse Confetti products, Circles 'n Scallops and Let it Snow (snowflakes). I stamped the sentiment around the scallop separating with a red jewel for a clean and simple card.

Products: Reverse Confetti stamps and dies, Reverse Confetti dp, PTI and Michael's Metallic cs, Doodlebug jewels, PTI ink

Have a blessed day! Breathe!

'Tis the Season

Good morning. We are getting down to the wire for the big day. You will see postings this week but all have been set up to post automatically so I can enjoy the holidays with a little less stress.

I stamped and colored the beribboned bell from the Reverse Confetti Joys of the Season and cut out with the matching die. I added a couple of stems from the same set slipped underneath before attaching to the diecut piece which was cut with die. I kept the card base simple with a border of patterned paper and a strip of metallic cardstock for a bit of sparkle. After stamping the sentiment from the Seasonal Say It All set to a plain white rectangle using Hawaiian shores ink, I attached the image to it with a layer of craft foam, then attached it to the background piece also using a layer of craft foam.

Merry & Magical

Since I had my The Stamp Market stamps and dies out for my last card I decided to create a couple more cards with them.

First up, I used the Holly Jolly Die set that I recently purchased during black Friday to cut from white and cherry kisses cardstock. I found the stitched circle in my snippets bag and backed it with patterned paper also from the Merry &Magical Paper PackI stamped the holly using everygreen ink and the berries using cherry kisses ink, both from the Merry Days set and cut with the matching dies.

Products: The Stamp Market stamps and dies, The Stamp Market dp, PTI cs, The Stamp Market and Concord & 9th ink

For the second card, I used the Dotted Tree die set that I purchased last year but but never before used to cut from patterned paper from the Merry &Magical Paper Pack. I prepared the ballet slipper cardstock background using a die from the Papertrey Ink Shape Shifters:Oval 4 set, then added a patterned paper border at the bottom. The sentiment from The Greetery Opposites Attract stamp set was stamped using cherry kisses ink, then cut out with the matching die and attached to the tree using a layer of craft foam.

The Stamp Market die, The Stamp Market dp, PTI and Concord & 9th cs, PTI die, The Greetery stamp and die, The Stamp Market ink

Both of these are already in the mail.

'Tis the Season

I am still short on Christmas cards and continue to create when I can. I am also trying to concentrate on items I haven't used before (or very little) and using challenges for inspiration. My card today uses the colors from the Color Throwdown #672 Challenge

I stamped the various trees from The Stamp Market Tiny Trees Two set using hibiscus burst, green parakeet and Hawaiian shores ink and cut out with the matching dies. The sentiment from the Tiny Trees (apparently retired) was white heat embossed onto black cardstock. I prepared the linen cardstock background using die from the Papertrey Ink Shape Shifters:Oval 2 set.

Products: The Stamp Market stamps and dies, PTI cs, die and ink

This was suppose to be a quick and easy card but for various reasons didn't turn out that way.

{The Cat's Pajamas} Feliz Navidog

Good morning. Yes, I am still working on Christmas cards!

I printed The Cat's Pajamas Christmas Morning Digi stamp onto Neenah cardstock, then cut out with a stitched die. After coloring it up with Copic markers, I added a patterned paper border and a sentiment from an older stamp set Feliz Navidog which has been retired as are all our physical products. This couldn't be simpler but that is pretty much my style anyway. Even when I layer, it's clean layers.

Products: The Cat's Pajamas digital stamp, The Stamp Market dp, PTI cs, The Stamp Market ink, Copic Markers
Copics: Sweater-R14, R17, R29; Nose-R00, R01, R02; Giraffe-YR30, YR31, E30, E33; Teddy-E30, E31, E33, E40, E41; Gifts-R14, R17, R29, B000, B01, B04, G0000, G000,G00

Stay warm. Have a blessed day.

Bearing Candy and GIfts

Today's Christmas card features images from the SugarPea Designs Hey Winter stamp and die set. This is another set I bought last year and never used. Please make me feel better and tell me you can relate?!

I tucked in a candy cane and gift in the bear's arms but it was a little too much for him and he dropped one of the candy canes. For the background, I used I blended tumbled glass distress ink over the Geo Snowflake Stencil which has to be one of my very favorite stencils ever. I added a snowbank using a small scalloped edge die. The sentiment was stamped in vermillion ink.

Products: SugarPea Designs stamps and dies, American Crafts and PTI cs, Sugar Pea Designs stencil, Simon Says die, Ranger Distress, Ranger Archival and Altenew ink, Copic Markers
Copics: Bear-W00, E81, T1, T3, T5; Sweater-R21, R22, R24, R27, T1; Gift-BG0000, BG000, YG01, YG03; Trees-E31, E35, YG01, YG03, YG13; Candy Canes-R21, R24, R27

I am submitting this to the Peace On Earth Christmas Challenge #5

Color Throwdown Challenge #771

I was selected as the featured stamper for the Color Throwdown Challenge #669 from a couple of weeks ago so I am now the guest star for the day for the newest challenge. Color Throwdown #771 features some beautiful colors of pink, gray, silver and white.

I used a combination of stamps and diecuts from the The Greetery Christmas Time in the City stamps and dies and the Christmas Time Sentiments set and matching dies to create a simple Christmas in the city scene. All images and diecuts were attached with a bit of glue or foam dimensionals to a white linen cardstock background.

Products: The Greetery stamps and dies, PTI and Simon Says Stamp cs, Pinkfresh Studio and Delicata Metallic ink

Check out the challenge rules (they are easy) and link up your project here.
