C.C. Designs Preview - Santa's Ride

Welcome to another day of C.C. Designs Rubber Stamps  October previews. We are sharing stamps from Roberto's Rascals collection today.

After coloring the Santa's Ride image with Copic Markers, I fussy cut it out. I prepared the background on a tall sized card base using patterned papers from the the Doodlebug Santa Express pad. I stamped the sentiment from the new Snarky Christmas set onto solid paper from the same pad and attached to the background with a clothespin from the Doodlebug Winter Mini Clothespins set. I slipped a snowflake cut with a die from the It's Snowing Cutters underneath the clothespin. I attached the Santa's Ride image to the background with dimensional dots.

{The Cat's Pajamas New Release Blog Hop and TCP Tuesday}

It is release day for The Cat's Pajamas! All seven of the new stamp sets, four fabulous new Cutups dies and two new Cutables are available now in The Cat's Pajamas shop.

If you came from Wendy's blog, you are on the right path. If not, then start at the beginning with Julie's blog. And speaking of Julie, she is our TCP Tuesday hostess for this rotation with a beautiful color challenge.

Now onto my card. I couldn't resist using the Vintage Halloween set again. I love that you can get as simple as you want by just stamping and cutting or you can get creative by coloring the open portion, emboss it, etc. I stamped the image onto plain white cardstock with Versamark and then heat embossed it with Smoky Slate embossing powder. I prepared the background by cutting patterned paper with from the Studio Calico Atlantic pad with the notebook die from the Toppers CutUps. After adding a strip of rust card stock embossed with the Dots CutUps and I then wrapped gray and white ribbon around it tied into a bow. I attached the image panel with dimensional dots and added a Doodlebug Fall Mini Paperclip to it. After stamping the sentiment onto a small circle with Smoky Slate ink, I also attached it with dimensional dots.

I hope you have enjoyed all the previews, chatting and the shopping! To continue the blog hop, please pop on over to Christine's blog as she has something beautiful to share with you.

{The Cat's Pajamas Sneak Peeks} Brains!

It's Day 5 of The Cat's Pajamas Sneak Peeks! Have you liked what you've seen so far?! Today we are debuting the new Brains! set.

I have several things to show you today as I put together a Halloween cookie baking set as a gift for my granddaughters. Amelia is a baby so she won't be cooking any time soon but six year old Clara loves helping in the kitchen so I think she will love a cookie baking session.

First up, I made a belly band for the cookie cutters (from Sur la Table) using the Brains! set as the centerpiece. I used the matching (and free!) Cutables Brains! set in my Silhouette to cut out the mummy. After stamping the image onto the cut out I colored with Copic Markers. After attaching the image onto the circle cut with Spellbinders Nestabilities, I also added a star cut with the 3x3 Stars CutUps and a couple of buttons.  The sentiment (how cute is that?) was stamped onto a piece cut with a die from the Fancy Flip CutUps.

For the spatula (from Sur la Table), I combined the image from the Eat, Drink and Be Scary set debuted on Wednesday with the new PopUp Treat Cutables that I cut with a Silhouette. I resized to fit my Portrait Silhouette but also made a couple of more changes since I wanted to use it for the Halloween themed mini spatula rather than candy. I added an extra cut to the bottom of the treat card so I could insert the spatula through it. I also had to forgo the "pop up" part due to the fact that I couldn't get any type of adhesive to stick to the mini spatula so it's more of a paintbrush style cover. I attached "Frank" with dimensional dots and then stamped the sentiment onto a piece cut with a die from the Fancy Flip CutUps (same as the first project) and slipped underneath Frank. For the inside, I added the table and candelabra. Lastly I tied a bow around the spatula handle.

For the gift bag containing the icing tube, I started out by cutting a stencil using the Dots CutUps and the new Stencil Blanks. I inserted a piece of card stock inside the 4x6 Cotton Muslin Drawstring Bag so ink would not bleed through to the back side, laid the stencil over the front and inked the open circles with Tim Holtz Distress Ink (Spiced Marmalade) using the Ranger Mini Ink Blending Tool.

I then stamped the sentiment in black ink. I wrapped the tube of icing in black tulle with a portion of it sticking out of the top. After cinching the bag with a bit of ribbon and button, I added a small felt ghost from my scrap book stash at the top. Easy and fun! I can't wait to do a few Christmas versions!

If you come by the Pajama Party at Splitcoaststampers on Monday night, I will be showing another gift set. See the specifics about the party below.

(The Cat's Pajamas Sneak Peek} Vintage Halloween

Welcome to Day 4 of The Cat's Pajamas Sneak Peeks. Today we are showcasing the Vintage Halloween set. If you've been around The Cat's Pajamas you know we have a whole series of these stamps with various themes. As always, there are three of the images that match up with the Framed Up CutUps.

I stamped the largest image from the Vintage Halloween set onto kraft cardstock and then cut up with the matching die from the Framed Up CutUpsadding a few sequins to the front and attaching two Doodlebug Halloween Paperclips to the sides. I prepared the card base by dripping and splotching black Loew-Cornell watercolor randomly onto the white background. Dripping and splotching is a technical term you know? After adding a small strip of Doodlebug patterned paper from my scrapbook stash I attached the stamped piece with dimensional dots. I cut the numbers twice, once from patterned paper and then again from black card stock using the Numbers Plate CutUpsI offset the patterned numbers from the card stock numbers every so slightly for a small shadow, adding Halloween Divine Twine to the "one". The "one" was attached with dimensional dots and then the "three" was slipped slightly underneath it. The "st" from the Your Number is Up set was stamped directly onto the background as was the bats. A couple of more sequins and some more scrap paper that was just laying on my work table finished it up.

Products: The Cat's Pajamas stamps and dies, Ki Memories dp, Doodlebug dp, paperclips and sequins, PTI cs, Loew-Cornell Watercolors
