Easter Treats {Picket Fence Studios}

Today's Easter themed packages were created for a group of women at my church. They are secularly decorated on the outside but the inside holds the true meaning of Easter including a handheld acacia wood cross. I also added a few pastel wrapped chocolate kisses and a bit of paper Easter grass.

I used lots of products as you can probably see. The image bases were cut from white cardstock using the dies from the Slim Line Stitched and Scalloped Rectangles and Alpha Die Cutting System. For the backgrounds I used a die from the Slim Line Die Cutting System for the "grass" on two of them and stamped Endless Clouds on another. All the line art images were stamped and cut with Eastertime stamps and dies and Chloe's Garden stamps and dies using the Black Hybrid ink pad. The sentiment based images were stamped using berry sorbet and hibiscus burst ink.

The diecuts for the sun and flowers were cut using the small dies rom the Slim Line Full Front Shaker Die

I finished up the image panels with pieces from the On an Egg Hunt Sequin Plus MixAfter filling the pillow shaped acrylic packages, I tied a ribbon bow around them including a cross charm, then added the strip of patterned paper and an image circle.

Products: Picket Fence Studios Stamps and Dies, Echo Park and Doodlebug dp; PTI and Bazzill cs, PFS Sequins, PFS and PTI ink, Copic Markers
Copics: (Happy Easter) Bunny Ears-E40, E41, E42, R00, R02; (Tall Girl Bunny) Bunny-W00, E81, R00, R02; Clothing-B41, B32; Flower-Y00, Y21; (Boy Bunny) Bunny-C00, C1, C3, R00, R02; Clothing-G20, G21, G24, W00, E81; (Girl Bunny Kisses) Bunny-E50, E51, E53, R00, R02; Clothing-YG01, YG03, B41, B32

{The Cat's Pajamas} Sweet as Sugar Easter Gift Packages

I am getting ready for Easter after a hiatus from crafting due to illness. It feels good to get back in crafty mode.  Working with such sweet images, colors and patterns automatically puts me in a good mood.

The Easter themed packages are destined for a group of shelter women who attend our church and these are the first two out of twelve I hope to complete.  Each contains a handheld acacia wood cross, a few chocolate kisses and a bit of paper Easter grass. Although they include secular images, inside represents the true meaning of the season of Lent.  And...bunnies are one of God's cutest creatures!

First up I printed the bunny from the Happy Easter Digi onto thin cardstock changing the color of the image to a soft teal using my Silhouette Studio software. I cut it out with a pierced die, then added a felt bunny tail, a flower cut from an older die and a couple of carrot clay pieces. I also printed the one of the patterns from the Happy Spring Digi Papers and then cut a strip from it. After filling the pillow shaped acrylic package, I tied a ribbon bow around it including a cross charm, then added the strip of paper and image circle.

For the second package, I printed the image from the Sugar, Sugar Digi, cut out with the same pierced circle and colored the image with Copic markers. I used another of the prints from the Happy Spring Digi Papers and tied a different ribbon around it also topped with a cross charm.

Products: The Cat's Pajamas digital stamps and papers, Neenah cs, Picket Fence Studios Sequin Mix, May Arts ribbon, Amazon acrylic pillow boxes, Amazon cross charms, Copic Markers
Copics: Bunny-E40, E41, E42, R10, R81; Basket-W00, E81, BG01, BG02; Eggs-YG01, YG02, Y00, Y11, R10, R81, BG01, BG02

Although the packaging is similar I want each one to be unique by changing up the images, ribbon and patterned paper. These women deserve to feel special and loved.

Are you getting crafty for Easter?

Eggs-tra Special Easter {Picket Fence Studios}

Todays card is another one featuring stamps and dies from the February Picket Fence Studios. If you love Easter and spring you will love this whole release. Too many great things to mention here so I recommend taking a look for yourself.

I stamped the image from the Eggs-tra Special Easter set using gathered twigs, then again with Versamark so I could clear emboss it. After cutting out with the matching die, I watercolored using speckled egg distress ink on the eggs, chromium green oxide on the leaves, then duochrome desert bronze and titanium buff for the nest. I cut a woodgrain embossed cardstock rectangle and trimmed the stamped piece to fit. I tied gingham ribbon around the woodgrain piece, then attached the image using a layer of craft foam for dimension. The sentiment from the Bunny Dear set was stamped using chocolate brown ink onto the same cardstock as the card base, cut out with the matching die and attached with foam dimensionals. I also stamped the envelop flap using the Vintage Easter Hodgepodge stamp using chocolate brown ink.

Products: Picket Fence Studios, Ellen Hutson and Stampin' Up cardstock, May Arts ribbon, Daniel Smith watercolors, Ranger Distress, Versamark and MFT ink

I am running behind with posting to my blog and instagram due to illness but hopefully I am back on track now. Unfortunately due to my illness I had  plenty of time to sit in front of the television witnessing this world going crazy. My heart and my prayers go out to the people of Ukraine.

Eastertime {Picket Fence Studios)

The Picket Fence Studios latest release is all about spring and Easter and I have two cards to share with you today.

I stamped one of the cute images from the Eastertime set, one onto a die cut circle and the two small chicks using the Picket Fence Black Hybrid Ink Pad which were then cut out with the matching dies. All the images were colored with Copic Markers and the main image was then framed with a scalloped circle cut with the larger scallop frame from the Slim Line Scallop Frame Dies set. The chick diecuts were placed onto a small circle die cut which was framed with harvest gold cardstock cut with one of the Misshapen Stitched Circle Dies

The shaker was created with a backing of pattered paper and several layers of cardstock cut with the smaller scallop frame from the Slim Line Scallop Frame Dies and filled with pieces from the Penny and Henny Sequins Plus Mix. I cut the card front border using the Ornate Negative Strip Die and backed with the green parakeet cardstock. I added a small strip at the top of the cut out to complete the border, then attached all the circle pieces.

Products: Picket Fence Studios Stamps and Dies, Doodlebug dp, PTI cs, Picket Fence Studio sequins, PTI and Picket Fence Studios ink, Copic Markers
Copics: W00, E81, Y000, Y00, Y21

For the second card, I stamped the bunny from the Hoppin' Down the Bunny Trail directly onto the card front using the the Black Hybrid Ink Pad and colored with Copic markers. I then masked the image in order to blend tumbled glass and broken china ink around it using the Life Changing Blender Brush SetI also stamped the main image from the Hippity Hoppity to All stamp set and cut out with the matching dieAfter coloring with Copic markers, I cut it down to fit the A2 portrait card front. It was attached using a layer of craft foam. For the sentiment, I used the inlaid die cut technique using matted wortd die from the Hippity Hoppity to All Die set and then attached over the bunny ears with craft foam.

February 2022 Release Day {Picket Fence Studios}

It's release day at Picket Fence Studios and my first release as a design team member. I could not have picked a better time to start as it's all about spring and Easter. I think everyone in the Northern Hemisphere is ready for spring! I have several projects to show you so here goes....

After stamping the sweet image from the Bunny Dear set using the Picket Fence Black Hybrid Ink Pad I cut out with the matching die and colored with Copic markers. For the background I blended bundled sage and worn lipstick distress oxide inks onto distress cardstock using the Life Changing Blender Brush Set and added a patterned paper border strip. The sentiment was white embossed onto black cardstock and also cut out with the matching die then surrounded with a few pieces from the Yellow and Orange Hearts and Flowers Sequin Mix Plus

Products: Picket Fence Studios stamps and dies, Altenew dp, Master's Touch watercolor cs, Picket Fence Studios Sequin Mix, Ranger Distress Oxide and Picket Fence Studios ink, Copic Markers

For my second card, I stamped the oh so cute bunnies and the watering can from the Chloe's Garden set onto Copic friendly cardstock using the Black Hybrid ink pad, cut out with the matching dies and colored with Copic markers. To create the background I cut a circle in a layer of white cardstock and craft foam. I blended tumbled glass distress ink around the opening using the Life Changing Blender Brush set and attached to the card base. The shaker was filled with pieces from the Carrot Patch Sequin Mix Plus then covered with a piece of acetate and framed with a piece cut with a die from the Slim Line Stitched and Scalloped Rectangles and Alpha Die Cutting System. To make the border, I blended new leaf ink onto a green parakeet cardstock piece using the Flowers and Polka Dot Fun 6x6 Stencil. Lastly I attached the stamped images, a couple of clouds cut with the Cloud Dies and the sentiment from the More Fancy Sentiments set cut with the matching die

For this faith based card, I used the new Three Crosses of Calvary die to cut from dark gray cardstock then stamped and white embossed the sentiment from the Every Good and Perfect Gift set onto it. The background was simply done by using the Life Changing Blender Brush set and the Slim Line Cloud Coverage Stencil to blend harvest gold, pink peony and blueberry sky ink to create a morning sky. The Cat's Pajamas Bunny Treat Box Cutable

Easter has really snuck up on me! But cutting files make it easy to get some cute projects completed before the big day.

As you may already know, TCP is in the process of converting to all digital which means both digital stamps as well as cutting files. The Bunny Treat Box I used on this project is available now. I used my Silhouette machine to cut cardstock for the basic bunny holder pieces, cheeks, nose and eyes and patterned paper for the insides of the bunny ears.

One can easily change the size of the box but I stuck with the smaller size as what I was placing inside was small. Although there is a super cute bow piece in the files I decided to use curl sheen to close the box and tie up front. Ribbon or twine would also be very cute.

You can see the slots better in the back which shows how I thread the ribbon through from back to front. There is a bunny tail piece in the files but I substituted a cotton ball. Easy peasy!

Check out the video to see how easy.

And don't forget we are clearing out the warehouse as we transition to digital. All physical product is 30% off during the month of April.

Easter Blessings

I have an Easter card for you today as Easter Sunday is rapidly approaching.

Using the colors from the current Color Throwdown #632 Challenge, I stenciled and stamped the images from The Greetery Easter Jubilee set onto Bristol Smooth cardstock. After cutting the panel with a die from the Nordic Frames set, I added the letters cut from white linen cardstock. The small sentiment was tone on tone stamped onto cardstock, then cut out with the die from the same set.

Products: The Greetery stamps, dies and stencils, PTI cs, WPlus9 and Pinkfresh Studio ink

I hope you are having a blessed Sunday.

The Cat's Pajamas February TCP Tuesday Challenge (#376)

The February TCP Tuesday challenge is to use patterned paper on a project. Use a little, use a lot, either way is fine. TCP products are not required but encouraged. You have until the end of the month to submit a project and there is a $50 gift voucher up for grabs.

I decorated three small treat boxes for Easter gifts for my Discipleship Essentials quad. The treat boxes are premade ones I purchased from Amazon here. I I cut the lambs from the new Lamb/Bunny/Chick CutUps from white and black cardstock and patterned paper for the faces, then assembled. I chose the lamb to represent the Lamb of God. I added Easter whimsy by cutting grass using a die from the Grassy Patches CutUps on three sides and "hid" Easter eggs cut from cardstock and patterned paper using dies from the Easter Basket CutUpsI cut a square of pattered paper for the back sides and tops using a die from the Stitched Squares & More set. The lambs were attached to the fronts of each box. A sentiment banner tied with either ribbon or twine was tied at the top of each box along with a cross charm. The sentiment came from the cute and quirky Follow the Bunny set.

Products: The Cat's Pajamas Stamps and Dies, Hobby Lobby, Doodlebug and Echo Park dp, PTI and RC cs, Hemptique twine, May Arts ribbon
