Cast Every Care on Him

I am really neglecting my Faith Friday posts but hopefully I am back on track as I am rededicating myself to sending cards to those on our prayer list at church. Life sure gets in the way of our good intentions, huh?

Since I placed a big order from The Greetery recently I decided I needed to use the ones I purchased from prior releases. I am still on a campaign to use stamps that have been in my not yet used box. I stamped the floral and leaf images from the Summer Sketches set using garden party, lime rickey, it's a girl, party dress, bright buttercup and tiki torch inks and then cut out with the matching dies. I then stamped a sentiment from the Comforting Commands set stamped with lime rickey ink and cut out with the matching die. I loved this set so much I bought it twice. Don't ask. More about that later. To prepared the background panel, I cut out watercolor paper using a wonky stitched die, then watercolored and flicked on bright buttercup and tiki torch ink. The floral spray was attached with foam squares. I used the colors from the current Color Throwdown #558 challenge.

Products: The Greetery stamps and dies, PTI and Ranger Watercolor cs, MFT die, Catherine Pooler and PTI ink

And since I ordered the Comforting Commands ($15) and die ($23) set twice, I am selling the unused set for $30 which includes shipping for US buyers only. Email me  at nthom100 at gmail dot com if you want to purchase.

Have a fantastic weekend. I hope to see you back here soon.

Another Nauty Day

I am using the nautical themed stamps again from Cather Pooler while double dipping on challenges.

I stamped the anchor and rope from the Pooler Refuse to Sink stamps using blueberry and sunshine ink, then cut out with the matching dies. For the background, I stamped the wave image from the Hook, Line and Sinker set directly onto the card base using lake shores ink, stamping off and stamping more than once for varying shades of the same color. The sentiment was stamped with blueberry ink and the small ships wheel in sunshine. The anchor image was attached with foam squares.

Products: Catherine Pooler stamps and dies, PTI cs, MFT, Reverse Confetti and Simon Says ink

I am submitting to two challenges, Inspired by Challenge (for the nautical theme and the colors)

and Casology: Week 350 (with a theme of Water).

I hope you are having a great week so far. As always, thank you for stopping by!

{Reminder} TCP Tuesday #360 Challenge

Today I am sharing my second card for the August TCP Tuesday #350 Challenge which is Clean and Simple. There is still plenty of time to submit your project. There is a $50 gift voucher to the TCP store in play!

I consider most all of my designs to be clean and simple so this challenge is right up my alley. I broke out the Nature's Christmas Tree again. Well actually it was still sitting on my craft desk as I am obsessed with this stamp set. I am so glad that Alma decided to do some Christmas sets early. I predict that she has started a trend and you will see more Christmas sets in July next year.

I stamped the deer from the set onto to Neenah cardstock, colored with Copic markers then cutout with a die from the Going Round & Round set, cutting again for a colorful border. To prepared the card front, I added a patterned paper border and stamped the sentiment from the set using gala red ink. I offset the image, then trimmed off the rest.

Products: The Cat's Pajamas stamps and dies, Fancy Pants dp, PTI cs, Altenew and WPlus9 ink
Copics: W00, W1, W2, W5, E81, E40, R02, R05, BG0000, BG000, BG01

It's a Nautical Kind of Day

I have two cards today using the same patterned paper, stamp images and inks. Both cards are for the Twofer Card Challenge with a nautical theme and one of the two also uses the sketch for the current CAS(E) This Sketch cts#335.

I used the new Catherine Pooler Refuse to Sink stamps and dies plus the Hook, Line and Sinker stamp set and dies, along with the Salt and Seawater Patterned Paper on both cards. I also used the same ink colors, catkin, spring rain and blueberry.

Products: Catherine Pooler stamps, dies and dp, PTI cs, Simon Says and MFT ink

Let's all have a great week! Thank you for stopping by.

Hello

Good morning. I had a bit of free time last night from a very, very busy week to make a card for the current The Paper Players (PP454) Color Challenge. I am barely getting it in on time.

Since the challenge was to use Black and White with one other color, I decided it would be perfect for The Stamp Market Fiddle Leaf Stamp Bundle set. This is another set than has been sitting in my not yet used box most of the summer. I stamped the leaves and stem using lime rickey ink and the container in black and cut out with the matching dies. For the background I parsed one of the sentiments from the set stamping directly onto the linen cardstock panel and added a patterned paper frame cut from patterned paper using a die from the Scalloped Frame Die set. The leaves and container were attached using a combo of glue and foam squares.

Have a great weekend!

Sitting Here {Purple Onion Designs}

Good morning. Today's card features stamps illustrated by Stacey Yacula for Purple Onion Designs.

Using masking, I stamped the Beach Chair, Palm Tree and Sand Dunes.onto a Neenah cardstock stitched panel.  The sentiment from the Essential Thoughts Sentiment Set was stamped directly onto the image panel. I then masked the images again and used a stencil and tumbled glass distress ink to create the clouds. After coloring the images with Copic markers, I matted the panel to a striped patterned paper background. I cut the tiny from kraft cardstock and wrote the additional sentiment on to it.

Products: Purple Onion Designs stamps, PTI dp and cs, The Cat's Pajamas stencil, Memory Box die, Altenew and Ranger Distress ink, Copic Markers
Copics: Palm Tree-YG91, YG93, YG95, E31, E33, E39, W1, W1, W5, C1; Chair-E50, E51, B41, B32; Sand-E40, E41, W00

I wish I was sitting in a spot like this card scene. If I am going to be burning up from this unrelenting heat wave, I think I should at least be doing it on a beach.

The sentiment was stamped using gala red ink.

FaLaLaLa

I am back today with another card combining a Christmas card with a sketch and a stamp set I had not used before. I am on a mission!

I used the sketch from this week's Freshly Made Sketches (#399) for the layout although I substituted a rectangular shape for the squares which were cut from textured cardstock. I then stamped the various Christmas icons and the sentiment from The Stamp Market Merry Days set using hawaiian shores, green parakeet and gala red inks. Both the images and sentiments were cut with the matching dies and attached to the sno cone card base front using foam dots.

Products: The Stamp Market stamps and dies, Bazzill and MFT cs, MFT dies, WPlus9 and PTI ink

Have a blessed Sunday!

Oh What Fun

I am trying to squeeze in a few challenges here and there as well as make some Christmas cards while using stamp and die sets I have not used yet. And yes, there are a bunch of those! I think it's time for me to reduce my stash again.

Today's card uses the sketch from the CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge (CTS333). I stamped the images from the itty bitty Lawn Fawn Oh What Fun set onto Neenah cardstock and cut out with the matching dies. After coloring with Copic markers, I attached to the background using foam dots.

Products: Lawn Fawn stamps and dies, Lawn Fawn dp, PTI cs, Altenew and WPlus9 ink, Copic Markers
Copics: W00, E81, R11, R14, R17, YG01, YG03, YG11, BG000, BG01, BG02, C00, C1

I hope you are having a great Saturday.
