You are On My Mind {Picket Fence Studios}

For this mini slim line card, I first stamped the butterfly from the Butterfly Beauties set using the Black Hybrid Ink Pad ink onto ballet slipper cardstock then cut out with the matching die. For the image panel I used a die from the Mini Slim Line Double Stitched Rectangles Set to cut from white linen cardstock. I then brushed a light layer of water onto it, positioned the new Slim Line Rose Lines Stencil over it and ran it through my die cutting machine. Dampening the cardstock allows for deeper embossing when using a stencil. I kept the stencil in place on the card stock piece while it dried and then layered one of the pieces from the new A2 Vertical Messy Watercolor Vertical Stencil over it, I used one of the smaller brushes from the Life Changing Blender Brush Set to blend spun sugar distress ink in the small area.

I used the small die from the A2 Lattice Arch Cover Plate die to cut from white linen cardstock, centered it in the inked area, the attached the butterfly image in the center of the circle. The sentiment from the Word Die Topper Subtitles was stamped onto a black cardstock strip using Versamark ink, then white heat embossed an attached to the panel using foam dimensionals. The panel was matted onto black cardstock piece cut with the Mini Slim Line Stitched and Scalloped Rectangles Set. A few sequins from the lovely new Pink Flamingo Mambo Sequins Plus Mix finished it up.

Products: Picket Fence Studios stamps, dies, stencils and Sequins, PTI and Concord & 9th cs, Picket Fence Studios, Versamark and Ranger Distress ink

I don't know how I managed to use so many products on this itty bitty card. Later!

{The Cat's Pajamas} Sweet as Sugar Easter Gift Packages

I am getting ready for Easter after a hiatus from crafting due to illness. It feels good to get back in crafty mode.  Working with such sweet images, colors and patterns automatically puts me in a good mood.

The Easter themed packages are destined for a group of shelter women who attend our church and these are the first two out of twelve I hope to complete.  Each contains a handheld acacia wood cross, a few chocolate kisses and a bit of paper Easter grass. Although they include secular images, inside represents the true meaning of the season of Lent.  And...bunnies are one of God's cutest creatures!

First up I printed the bunny from the Happy Easter Digi onto thin cardstock changing the color of the image to a soft teal using my Silhouette Studio software. I cut it out with a pierced die, then added a felt bunny tail, a flower cut from an older die and a couple of carrot clay pieces. I also printed the one of the patterns from the Happy Spring Digi Papers and then cut a strip from it. After filling the pillow shaped acrylic package, I tied a ribbon bow around it including a cross charm, then added the strip of paper and image circle.

For the second package, I printed the image from the Sugar, Sugar Digi, cut out with the same pierced circle and colored the image with Copic markers. I used another of the prints from the Happy Spring Digi Papers and tied a different ribbon around it also topped with a cross charm.

Products: The Cat's Pajamas digital stamps and papers, Neenah cs, Picket Fence Studios Sequin Mix, May Arts ribbon, Amazon acrylic pillow boxes, Amazon cross charms, Copic Markers
Copics: Bunny-E40, E41, E42, R10, R81; Basket-W00, E81, BG01, BG02; Eggs-YG01, YG02, Y00, Y11, R10, R81, BG01, BG02

Although the packaging is similar I want each one to be unique by changing up the images, ribbon and patterned paper. These women deserve to feel special and loved.

Are you getting crafty for Easter?

To the Grad {Picket Fence Studios}

Today's graduation card features some of the new images from the Picket Fence Studios latest release.

For the background, I stamped the new Scene Building: BFF Girls' Mansion onto white linen cardstock using soft stone ink then cut out with a stitched rectangle die. Rather than a mansion I used it to represent the front entrance of a traditional university building. I cut the new To the Grad Word Topper Die three times, twice from plain white cardstock and lastly with blueberry sky cardstock to create a stack. With some masking I added the partial sentiment from the previously BFF Girls Find Your Tribe set and then attached to the background panel. After stamping one of the girls from the BFF Girls Find Your Tribe set using the Black Hybrid Ink Pad I cut out with the matching die, colored with Copic markers and attached to the panel with a layer of craft foam. It's amazing how much the girls from this set look like two of my step-granddaughters.

Products: Picket Fence Studios stamps and dies, PTI cs, Picket Fence Studios ink, Copic Markers

Wishing for Butterfly Season {Picket Fence Studios}

Winter is not letting go yet but I am trying to think of the flowers and butterflies in our future.

I used the new Flying Butterfly die which is an addition to the Slim Line Cutting System to create this clean and simple shaker card. I also used the Extra Wide Foam Roll which is so easy to use since it has double sided adhesive. I filled the shaker space with the also new Heart Breaker Sequin Plus Mix. There were a lot of fun new sequin sets in this release but I think this one might be my favorite. I added a small flower atop the butterfly which came from the new Carnation Flower Garden set as did the sentiment white embossed onto a black card strip. A tiny sequin atop the flower finished it up.

March 2022 Release {Picket Fence Studios}

Good morning. It's the first day of the March Picket Fence Studios release. I have two projects to share with you today.

First up is a card using the new Carnation Flower Garden set. I stamped the image onto Copic friendly cardstock using  the Black Hybrid Ink Pad, cut out with the matching die and colored with Copic markers. To prepare the background I messily watercolored the watercolor cardstock panel using tumbled glass and broken china distress ink. I then cut two circles from cardstock, stacked and attached to the image panel. The sentiment and image were attached using foam dimensionals. A smattering of sequins from the also new Fuschia Bottlecap Flowers Sequin Mix provided a finishing touch.

Products: Picket Fence Studios stamps and dies, Master's Touch watercolor and PTI cs, PFS Sequins, Ranger Distress and PFS ink, Copic Markers
Copics: R30, R32, R35, R35, YG01, YG03, YG13

My second card features the new Karma Girl:Betty stamped with the Black Hybrid Ink Pad. I cut her out with the matching die and then colored with Copic markers. I added a clay piece to replace the drawn earring and then cut out a matching piece of foam to back her with. The patterned paper border strip was also backed with craft foam. Before attaching both to the card front I stamped the sentiment directly onto the card front. Betty just cried out for some bling so I added a bunch of sequins from the new and beautiful Candy Kisses Sequin Plus Mix

Thinking of You {Picket Fence Studios}

I have another card today featuring stamps, dies and sequins from Picket Fence Studios

I mixed Fern Green and Daffodil Yellow Paper Glaze and then used it to spread over the Flower and Polka Dot Fun 6x6 Stencil attached to a stitched rectangle using an old credit card. While the stenciled piece dried I stamped one of the butterflies from the Butterfly Beauties set using daffodil ink and highlighted a bit with grapefruit ink, then cut out with the a die from the matching die set. I created the shaker using a die from the Slim Line Stitched and Scalloped Rectangles and Alpha Die Cutting set and filled it with the new Petals Sequin Mix Plus. Before attaching both pieces to the stenciled piece I added a berry sorbet cardstock strip border. Lastly I stamped  the sentiment from the More Fancy Sentiments set using berry sorbet ink and cut out with the matching die and attached with a layer of craft foam.

Products: Picket Fence Studios stamps and dies, PTI cs, Picket Fence Studios Sequin Mix Plus, Paper Glaze and stencil, Concord & 9th and PTI ink

Eggs-tra Special Easter {Picket Fence Studios}

Todays card is another one featuring stamps and dies from the February Picket Fence Studios. If you love Easter and spring you will love this whole release. Too many great things to mention here so I recommend taking a look for yourself.

I stamped the image from the Eggs-tra Special Easter set using gathered twigs, then again with Versamark so I could clear emboss it. After cutting out with the matching die, I watercolored using speckled egg distress ink on the eggs, chromium green oxide on the leaves, then duochrome desert bronze and titanium buff for the nest. I cut a woodgrain embossed cardstock rectangle and trimmed the stamped piece to fit. I tied gingham ribbon around the woodgrain piece, then attached the image using a layer of craft foam for dimension. The sentiment from the Bunny Dear set was stamped using chocolate brown ink onto the same cardstock as the card base, cut out with the matching die and attached with foam dimensionals. I also stamped the envelop flap using the Vintage Easter Hodgepodge stamp using chocolate brown ink.

Products: Picket Fence Studios, Ellen Hutson and Stampin' Up cardstock, May Arts ribbon, Daniel Smith watercolors, Ranger Distress, Versamark and MFT ink

I am running behind with posting to my blog and instagram due to illness but hopefully I am back on track now. Unfortunately due to my illness I had  plenty of time to sit in front of the television witnessing this world going crazy. My heart and my prayers go out to the people of Ukraine.

Warm Holiday Greetings

I am guest designing for the Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge #3 today.

The theme is: Coffee/Tea+Green and runs March 1 - March 25. You must link up a newly created Christmas themed card featuring coffee or tea plus the color green in your design. Please also include the graphic above in your post and link back to the challenge post.

For my card I created a shaker cup using the Lawn Fawn Stitched Mug Frame with a green parakeet front and backed with sweet patterned paper. I filled it up with bits and bobs from The Greetery one of which is no longer in stock. The spoon was cut from white cardstock twice for stability with a bit of soft stone ink blended on the edges. More embellishments were added to the spoon. The candy canes were cut from textured cardstock and patterned paper using dies from the Lawn Fawn Woodland Critter Huggers Winter Add-On set. The sentiment from the Simon Says Tiny Words Christmas set was stamped in gala red on a small cardstock strip.

Products: Simon Says stamp, Lawn Fawn dies, Doodlebug dp, PTI cs, The Greetery clay pieces, WPlus9 ink

The prize is a $30 Newton's Nook Gift Code so get busy creating!
