If you've ever visited this blog before today, it's probably been obvious to you that The Cat's Pajamas stamps and dies are a big favorite of mine. I've been participating in the challenges for a while now and have always admired the fabulous design team. Well to make a long story short here, Alma has asked me to join The Cat Pack!! I couldn't possibly be more excited. You can see the official announcement here.
As my first official TCP duty, I have card for you today using a sketch by Leigh and boy, is it ever an interesting one (TCPTUES175). I started out by stamping the bunny from the Take Off set and then cutting out with Spellbinders Nestabilities with some out-of-the circle action for those big ol' ears. I colored up the bunny with Copics and paper pieced the airplane portion. I substituted the pennants with some Jenni Bowlin star and letter stickers pierced with a couple of Making Memories star stickpins. I covered up where I stuck the pins with a couple of JB letter stickers. I took some liberty with the main sentiment by stamping it directly onto the circle panel rather than as shown on the sketch. I used the Cloud Border CutUps die (which unfortunately is out of stock at the moment - it will be back soon though) to cut a strip of clouds which I then embossed with a Cuttlebug folder. For a finishing touch I wrapped the Airmail Divine Twine around the border tying through a button from my stash.
