Sweet November - Pixie Maribelle

Welcome to the last day of Sweet November previews for All That Scraps. Can you tell I had a lot of crafty fun with this release? Today we are featuring projects using Pixie Maribelle.

After coloring Maribelle, I cut her out and then attached to a paper doily, placing dimensional dots underneath the tips of the butterfly wings. The sentiment from the also new AmyR Winged Greetings was stamped onto the label which was cut using the largest piece from the C.C. Designs Stackables Cutters set. By now you are are probably not surprised that all the pattern paper came from  the American Crafts Soho Garden 6x6 pad.

Sweet November Preview - Bu'fly Brianny

Welcome to the fourth day of Sweet November previews for All That Scraps. The theme this month is butterflies and today we are featuring projects using Bu'fly Brianny.

I decided to do something different for this image. Taking a cue from the background patterned paper, I stamped the image onto Basic Grey distressed paper and then did not color it. I added color instead with additional patterned paper, buttons, jewels and a butterfly cut with the C.C. Designs Butterflies Cutters. The sentiment from the also new AmyR Winged Greetings. All the pattern paper is from American Crafts Soho Garden 6x6 pad.

***This is my second post for the day. Please scroll down for my C.C. Designs for All That Scraps post.***

Welcome to the third day of  Sweet November previews for All That Scraps. It is all about the butterflies this month.

After stamping Bu'fly Brynn, I cut the image out using Spellbinders Nestabilities and then colored with Copics. I added a sentiment from the also new for this release AmyR Winged Greetings cut with another Nestie. All the paper came from the Crate Paper On Trend 6x6 pad which has become a real favorite. My "go to" embellishments of ribbon and buttons completed the design.

C.C. Designs Preview - Tumbleweeds Butterfly Dreams

Welcome to the All That Scraps March stamps and dies previews featuring the C.C. Designs line. Today we are introducing a new character set - The Tumbleweeds, which is a set of three images called Butterfly Dreams.

I colored up one of the sweet images and then cut out attaching to a framed and embossed circle cut with Spellbinders Nestabilities. The paper is all from the Pebbles Seen and Noted 6x6 pad and I found some old Ki Memories ribbon in my stash that perfectly matched it. A smattering of buttons finished things up.

Sweet November Preview - Bu'fly Bree

Welcome to first of five days of previews featuring Sweet November for All That Scraps. It is all about the butterflies this month. Have you heard of anyone who doesn't like butterflies?! They are just one one of the most miraculous and beautiful creatures in nature.

Bu'fly Bree was colored with a combo of Copics for the body and paper piecing for the wings. After cutting out the image I attached her to an embossed background panel. Dimensional dots were placed underneath the top of largest wing for a bit of lift. The Basic Grey Badge was in my stash for quite a while and I thought it went perfectly with the paper from the American Crafts Soho Garden 6x6 pad. I will warn you that I used this pad a lot throughout these preview projects, 4 out of the 5 actually!

Home and Heart

It is March already and I couldn't be more excited at the thought of spring just around the corner!

I've been seeing lots of well done CAS cards in my reader lately (there seems to be a class going on?) and I wanted to give it a try. Normally I like lots of layers but I resisted that this time although I did double mat my stamped image. Baby steps, right? I am also slowly coming to realization that I don't always have to color my images. WHAT?! My fellow Cat Pack teammate  Jen has some really good examples of that on her blog. This is my second project featuring the Market Street Home Sweet Home stamp set which you can see I only colored the window and chimney. A couple of fishtail banner strips in bold colors which I wrapped around to the back of the panel, a buttoned up felt heart, a tiny pearl doorknob and the sentiment stamped directly onto the background panel completed the look. Or so I thought. After staring at it for a while thinking that it needed something else, I decided to round all four corners with my WRMK corner chomper. The paper is from American Crafts Soho Garden which has quickly become a favorite 6x6 pad. I used it a lot on my Sweet November previews which start tomorrow!!

Products: Market Street Stamps, American Crafts dp, Kaisercraft pearl, PTI felt and button, My Favorite Things Die-namics, Spellbinders Nestabilities, Copic Markers
Copics: RV11, RV13, RV14, RV17

What do you think about my CAS attempt?
