C.C. Designs Review - Lolli Beatrice

Today is review day on the All That Scraps blog and I am joining other members of the design team in showing your more projects using the July release stamps and dies.

My card features C.C. Designs Lolli Beatrice which I colored with Copic Markers and then cut with Spellbinders Nestabilities. Pretty cute, huh? I surrounded her with some candy like colors from the My Mind's Eye Fine and Dandy Tickled Pink pad. I used the uber cute Lolli Cutters to cut several lollipops including superimposing one over the stamped image. The sentiment is from the Sweet Treats Logos set which I stamped onto patterned paper and cut with the Circle Cutters.

Christmas in July 5 - Frosty Fun

I hope your week is off to a great start. Today I have Christmas in July card number 5. I used this week's My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club sketch (MFTWSC79) for the layout. I combined the MFT Claire Keay Frosty Fun image with some older Autumn Leaves paper and Heidi Grace stickers both of which have been in my stash for a while. I love the hot pink and aqua color scheme for Christmas.

Christmas Card Tip of the day:  Use non-traditional colors for a whimsical look.

Christmas in July 4 - The Night Before Christmas

I am back today with  Christmas in July card 4. I did a lot of masking on this one, combining four different stamp sets and two CutUps from The Cat's Pajamas to create a sweet living room scene where this little guy is being read "The Night Before Christmas" story. The main image was from the Quality Time set which was part of the last release. The Christmas tree came from the Merry Christmas, Honey set. I wiped off the honey pot portion of the Christmas tree before stamping and then finished off the bottom part of the tree and added more garland with a Copic Multinliner pen. The gifts came from the A Beary Good Year and Deck the Hall sets. I used the Windows CutUps to create a window as well as the Queen of Hearts Cutups for the valance. It's looks like someone is getting a puppy for Christmas, huh?

Christmas Card Tip of the day:  Use masking to create a scene.

Christmas in July 3 - Warm Wishes

After several days of Design Team projects I am back with Christmas in July card # 3. I combined homespun patterns from the Basic Grey Jovial pad with an image from the My Favorite Things Inspired by Winter set to create a masculine card. The Cat's Pajamas Pinking Border CutUps for a sawtooth pattern and a simple tag topped with Linen Thread provided the only embellishments. Black matting on all the elements made everything pop. I used an MFT Wednesday Stamp Club sketch (MFTWSC56) from weeks past for the layout although I moved the elements around and made it into a square shape.

Christmas Card Tip of the day:  Keep embellishments to a minimum for a more masculine card.

Wishing You Sunshine (TCP Tuesday 217)

Good morning. Today's card is for TCP Tuesday (TCPTUES217) which is a technique/supply challenge from our hostess, Julie to use the sunglasses template provided in the TCP Forum at Splitcoaststampers.

I reduced the size of the template to 75% so my sunglasses would fit on an A2 card and then cut the lens with cloud patterned paper. I was going for a "sunshine" theme by using one of my favorite TCP stamp sets, Wet Puddle. The "sun" was created with a combination of the Flower Buttons and the circle from the Easy Rosette CutUps. The sentiment flags were cut also using the Easy Rosette CutUps.

Sweet November Preview - Gertie

Today I have one more Sweet November preview for the month of July. The Garden Girls are back and today we are featuring Gertie.

I combined Gertie with patterned paper from the Simple Stories Summer Fresh pad, attaching the stamped  image to a piece from one of the photo mat pages. I cut the mat with Spellbinders Nestabilities and dressed it up with small stripes of Washi tape and the small sentiment tag. The sentiment is from the AmyR Hearty Sayings set. I placed the background borders and twill on the diagonal. The twill is some old Autumn Leaves that has been in my stash for a long time.

Sweet November Preview - Myra

Welcome to another day of Sweet November previews for the month of July. The Garden Girls are back and today we are featuring Myra.

I kept this one very simple. After coloring with Copic Markers, I cut the image out and attached it to a patterned paper background, adding a couple of scalloped borders on the side and a butterfly cut with the Butterfly Cutters which was anchored by a rolled flower.The patterned paper is from the Simple Stories Fabulous pad.
