{The Cat's Pajamas Sneak Peek} Folk Art Flowers and Flutterby

Welcome back to day 2 of The Cat's Pajamas sneak peeks. All the new products will be made available for purchase as revealed throughout the week with the full release on May 28 at which time there will be special discounting.

I love these sweet florals. My card features a favorite color combo of black, yellow and white. I stamped the swirly stem and flower from the new Folk Art Flowers set and the two individual flowers then cut out with the matching dies from the new Folklore Flowers CutUps. I cut an image panel from linen cardstock using a stitched die, using the new Flutter By CutUps to add interest and texture, then stamped the sentiment directly onto the panel. You need this die, trust me! I also used a die from the new Birdcage CutUps cut from patterned paper. I stamped the dots in the patterned paper using a stamp from the new Folk Art Flowers set. I turned the stamped piece onto it's side and adhered to the panel using craft foam and attached the stamped flowers.

Products: The Cat's Pajamas stamps and dies, Altenew dp, PTI cs, Altenew and Reverse Confetti ink

{The Cat's Pajamas Sneak Peek} Hello Gillfriend and Porthole Die

Welcome to the first of seven days of sneak peeks featuring the new The Cat's Pajamas release for May 28. There are so many fun images and dies in this collection (seven stamps sets and seven dies). The products are released as sneak peeked but special discounting is available at the official release date.

Today we are featuring the new Hey Gillfriend stamp set along with the new Porthole CutUps. After stamping one of the mermaids I colored with Copic Markers and fussy cut out. I then went to work on the card front by using the center of the Porthole die to cut from a stitched Bristol Smooth cardstock panel, then lightly sponged ink around it using tumbled glass, antique linen and berry sorbet inks. I create a thin frame around the cutout by sandwiching two stitched circle dies before cutting from berrylicious cardstock. I sponged the bottom of the panel using antique linen and gathered twigs inks. I then stamped the coral in berry sorbet, seaweed in simply chartreuse and the sand with fine linen inks, all images also from the new Hey Gillfriend stamp set. The sentiment was stamped onto a fishtail banner using berry sorbet and sponged around the edges with tumbled glass and added the mermaid with a layer of craft foam. I created the shaker filling with the really pretty By the Sea Confetti Mix.

I decided to not stop there and used the fun new Spiral PopUp die on the inside. I used tomorrow's sneak peak stamp set Henna Tattoos to stamp onto cardstock to create a tone on tone look for a bit of texture, then cut out the spiral.  After attaching to the inside of the card with glue dots I added some of the small images from the new Hey Gillfriend. It is simple touch yet is a sweet little surprise when the card is opened.

Faith Can Move Mountains

Good morning. I haven't done a Faith Friday in quite a while so today's card is a faith based one for a church friend who is having some major health and pain issues.

I stamped the image from the Papertrey Ink Move Mountains Mini set onto linen cardstock, then added the sentiment from the Reverse Confetti The Lord's Strength using hawaiian shores ink below the image. I cut the panel out with a stitched die, colored with Copic Markers and added a small strip of patterned paper at the bottom. I cut an octagon shape from patterned paper using a stitched die for a mat then attache the whole piece to a top folding card base using a layer of craft foam. A matching patterned paper strip was attache to the bottom of the card base.

Products: Papertrey Ink and Reverse Confetti stamps, Lawn Fawn and Altenew patterned paper, PTI cs, MFT and Simon Says dies, Altenew and PTI stamps, Copic Markers
Copics: Sun-Y000, Y00, Y02, Y21; Mountains-W00, W1, W2; Trees-YG01, YG11, YG13; Grass- G40, G43

New Sunny Meadows Fair Collection {Purple Onion Designs}

I have another card to share using the new Sunny Meadow Fair stamp collection.

I used a hexagon die to cut from Neenah cardstock to emulate the chicken wire pattern in the designer paper used for the image panel. After stamping the new Sunflowers onto the hexagon piece and colored with Copic Markers. The image was matted with contrasting cardstock also cut with a hexagon die. I then stamped the new Eloise (hen) and Flo, Mo & Bo (3 Chicks) onto Copics X-Press It cardstock, colored with Copic markers and fussy cut out. I attached all the chickens to the panel using foam tape. Looks like mama hen has lost one of our chicks amongst the sunflowers. Don't worry, she will find him!

The Cat's Pajamas TCP Tuesday #357 Challenge

Welcome to another TCP Tuesday challenge. It is Move It May, meaning we want you to show us some type of interactive movement on your project. You have the remainder of May to complete for a chance at a $50 TCP gift voucher. You do not have to use a TCP product but we sure love it when you do.

As you can see, this little piggy is living his best life. I used a die from the Going Round & Round set to provide some "floating" for the piggy in the pool. The piggy and sentiment is from the Year of the Pig set. Just because you add an interactive element doesn't mean you have to give up your clean and simple style.

Products: The Cat's Pajamas stamps and dies, Honey Bee and Doodlebug dp, Reverse Confetti an PTI cs, Doodlebug enamel dot, Altenew and PTI ink, Copic Markers
Copics: Pig: E000, E00, E01, E11, R00, R02, BG10, BG11, BG13; Float-C00, C1, W00, R20, R22, R24, R27

Here are the details for the Challenge:
  • Each month a new challenge will be posted on The Cat’s Pajamas blog and our Facebook page.
  • If you want to play along you just upload your design to The Cat’s Pajamas blog page using the InLinkz button provided.
  • You are not required to use a Cat’s Pajamas stamp or die but if you have them we would love to see them.
  • On the day of the next challenge the winner will be chosen from the previous challenge and will receive a Cat Cash Voucher for $50.
