Merry and Bright

I'm glad to be tucked in my house safe and warm today. I hope it is the same for you and your loved ones.

I have another Christmas card for you. I am loving that there are Christmas challenge blogs throughout the year as they give me a chance break out some holiday related stamps and dies and that I never got the chance to use very much in December. In some cases, not at all really. It makes me feel less guilty!

Today's card is a simple one using the current Festive Friday #24 challenge photo as inspiration. I used the Papertrey Ink Mat Stack 3 die to create a cutout from a rectangular piece of American Crafts silver glitter paper. I then used patterned paper from the Anna Griffin Winter Wonderland pad underneath. I cut the banner piece from white glitter cardstock using a die from the Reverse Confetti Tag Me set and then placed the "merry" word cut from American Crafts gold glitter paper with the Simon Says Merry Christmas dies. I wrapped some Hemptique cord around the piece and then added a button and some gold thread. I stamped the sentiment from the Reverse Confetti Bring on the Merry set directly onto the cardstock background using Memento Luxe Gray Flannel ink. A few gold and and silver sequins finished it up.

That's it for today. I hope to see you back here soon.

  1. Gorgeous take on the inspiration image, Nancy. I've been playing withnsome ideas for this challenge, but work has not permitted me to get crafty.

  2. Beautiful interpretation of our inspiration image! I love the Merry die, and you used the colours so perfectly! Thank you so much for joining us at Festive Friday!

  3. Oh, gosh, this is pretty! Love the subtle mix of the metallics, and the fun 'merry' placed at an angle! So glad you played along with us at Festive Friday!!!
