50 and Fabulous

Today's card is one I made for the last The Cat's Pajamas release in March. I did share it at the release party but totally forgot to blog here.Better late than never I guess.

I needed a masculine card for one of those major birthdays, in this case, the big 5-0. I started out by stamping the numbers with Memento Luxe ink using the Your Number is Up set. I then cut out the matching number using the Numbers Plate and then superimposed them over the stamped numbers with dimensional dots, offsetting them so the shadow part of the images would show through. I cut the double ended banner using a piece from the Framed Up 2 Cutups and then stamped the sentiment on it also from the Your Number is Up set using Stampin' Up Raspberry Ripple ink. All the patterned paper came from the Carta Bella Winter Fun pad including the solid colors. I kept the embellishments simple for a more masculine look using silver mini brads to anchor the patterned paper panel and then adding a trio of matted enamel dots.

I Can Always Count on You

Today's card is for the May Reverse Confetti Sketch For You to Try (#12).

I cut the main image panel with a Lil Inkers Designs Stitched Mat die and then stamped the sentiments from the Reverse Confetti Count Your Rainbows directly onto it. I cut the small tag using the Tag Me die set then added the stamped sentiment within the label and the small banner end, all from the Arrows 'n Elements set. I was trying to decide what to put in the tag hole since ribbon seemed too soft to go with the geometrics of the papers when I spied the black chain. It just happened to be laying on my craft table amongst the rest of the clutter for no particular reason. I added an arrow pointing to the tag which also came from the Arrows 'n Elements set. The row of scallops was cut with the edge of the Love Note die. All the patterned paper came from the American Crafts Plus One pad.

Products: Reverse Confetti stamps and dies, American Crafts dp, PTI and Bazzill cs, Lil Inkers Designs die, My Favorite Things and Simon Says inks

Pink & Pretty

The last few weeks have just been so busy with life stuff which hasn't allowed for a lot of time for crafty stuff. I'm hoping to get back on track and I'm starting with this week's Curtain Call Pink & Pretty Challenge.

I started out with a white on white approach with the main panel cut with the Lil Inkers Designs Stitched Mat layered onto the white card base. I cut two tags using the WPlus9 Timeless Tags 2 Dies, one from white Bazzill textured cardstock and one from American Crafts patterned paper. I stamped the sentiment from the Verve So Fluttery set onto the white tag with Simon Says ink and then tied the two tags together with Hemptique cord. I created the stack of butterflies using the My Favorite Things Butterflies Die-namics and then anchored with sequins. I also added a scattering of white, gold and pink sequins at the bottom of the panel to finish it up. All the patterned paper came from the American Crafts Welcome Spring pad.

Products: Verve stamp, American Crafts dp and glittery cs, PTI and Bazzill cs,  Hemptique cord, Darice and Lawn Fawn sequins, My Favorite Things Die-namics, Wplus 9 die, Lil Inkers designs die, Simon Says ink

Homemade for the Holidays

It's been a crazy week around here. We were already regrouping and catching up after our vacation at the beach when the storms came complete with tornados seemingly all around us. It didn't help that the warnings came three years and a day after tornadoes ravaged our state. Everyone's nerves were on edge and my son and his family came to stay with us a couple of days because we have a basement for refuge! Things have just now gotten back to normal. Friday was the first day I've been able to get back to my craft table.

Today's card is for this week's Merry Monday Christmas Challenge( #106). I cut the gingerbread man from patterned paper using The Cat's Pajamas Man CutUps, then added a couple of buttons and and tied Hemptique cord around his neck. I attached him to a tag, adding ribbon at the top. The sentiment from The Cat's Pajamas Homemade for the Holidays set and was stamped directly onto the background with Memento Espresso Truffle ink. All the paper came from the Fancy Pants Merry Little Christmas pad.

Products: The Cat's Pajamas stamp and CutUps, Fancy Pants dp, PTI cs and buttons, American Crafts ribbon, My Mind's Eye enamel dots, Memento ink
