Cards for Bulgaria

This is the third year in a row that our church has partnered with Mission Bulgaria to provide Christmas shoe boxes for the Roma children in Bulgaria. What is different from the Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child shoe boxes (which is also a very fine organization) is that their hygiene/school needs are provided separately so our boxes can be filled with the fun stuff like toys and candy. And the best part, is that we have a specific child to provide for complete with their name and a picture. One photo is attached to the shoebox top and one is to keep so that we may pray for them throughout the year. This mission sends around 3000 boxes and our church usually does about 300 of them. Click here for more info.

I used some older products including a ready made PTI card front and the Reverse Confetti  (no longer in business) Joyous Holiday stamp and die set for the angel and an Illustrated Faith (retired) set for the nativity. Inside is a message from us that I typed in English and then used Google Translate to translate into Bulgarian. The sentiments (Christmas Blessings) were also translated and printed onto cardstock and cut out with an older Paper Smooches die.

For Magdalena, age 7:

For Petar, age 11:

Products: Reverse Confetti stamp and die, Illustrated Faith stamp, PTI card panels and cs, MFT, Concord & 9th cs and Michael's metalllic cs, MFT dies, Altenew and Delicata ink, Copic Markers
Copics for Angel: Skin-E00, E02, E11, R21; Hair- N2, N3, N5 N7; Horn/Halo-Y21, Y23, Y26; Dress-W00, E81, BG11; Wings-BG10, BG70
Copics for Nativity: Skin-E02, E11, E21, E15; Clothing-BG10, BG11, BG23, YG91, YG93, YG95; Baby Jesus-E00, E02, W00, E81; Manger-E30, E33

Both had to be done very quickly as I was running out of time. Due to lengthy overseas shipping all boxes are mass shipped in September in order to make it for Christmas.

Fruit of the Spirit

Today's three faith based cards were created for Grace Klein here in Birmingham (@grace_klein_community). This is a wonderful faith based organization that has many charitable endeavors both locally and globally. Their goal is to give out 100,000 scripture based cards this year to be included with the food boxes, clothing etc. They want cards in bundles of 25 which is daunting to our kind of card makers but my goal is to donate 100 cards by the end of the year. If you have any questions or want to join me, please send me an email or comment on this post and I will give you the details.

All three cards feature an Rubbernecker Stamps Galatians 5:22 stamp. Rubbernecker has been rebranded as Brass & Bliss

I used a Reverse Confetti tag die (sadly no longer in business) to cut from white cardstock and a piece from a older RC mini card pack. I stamped the sentiment onto the white tag using guava ink, then tied the two together with twine. For the background I added three rows of Illustrated Faith washi tape diagonally, then cut the panel with a stitched die. The tag set was attached using a layer of craft foam for added dimension.

Products: Brass&Bliss stamp, PTI cardstock, The Twinery twine, Illustrated Faith washi tape, Lil Inker Designs die, Simon Says ink

For my second card I stamped the sentiment onto a circle cut with The Greetery Nordic Circle dies. The orange slice from the Sunny Studio Slice of Summer stamps was stamped with marmalade and creamsicle inks and cut with the matching die. The lime and lemon were fortuitously already stamped and cut that I discovered in my die cut stash. A few sequins finished it up.

Products: Brass&Bliss stamp, Sunny Studios stamps and dies, The Greetery and MFT dies, Concord &9th and Altenew ink

For the last card, I used yet another Reverse Confetti die set to cut from cardstock and another piece from an older decorative mini cardstock pack also from Reverse Confetti (miss that company). I added 4 strips of different colored cardstock placed diagonally then cut with a stitched edge die. I found the flourish piece in my die cut bag and I slipped it underneath the stamped piece before attaching with a layer of craft foam.

Products: Brass&Bliss stamp, PTI and RC cs, My Favorite Things, Reverse Confetti and Lil Ink Designs dies, Altenew ink

These three cards represent cards #18, #19 and #20 for my bundle of 25 (because I found 12 cards in my stash that fit the scripture requirement).

Gracious Words

Today's two faith based cards were created for Grace Klein here in Birmingham (@grace_klein_community). This is a wonderful faith based organization that has many charitable endeavors both locally and globally. Their goal is to give out 100,000 scripture based cards this year to be included with the food, clothing and school supply boxes, etc. They want cards in bundles of 25 which is daunting to our kind of card makers but my goal is to donate 100 cards by the end of the year. If you have any questions or want to join me, please send me an email or comment on this post and I will give you the details.

For my first card, I used The Greetery Honey Jar stamp set using buttercup ink for the honey jar, fine line for the honey dripper, pernament black and soft stone for the bee and cut all with their matching dies. For the background I cut white cardstock using a die from The Greetery Nordic Frames dies. After stamping the honeycomb images from the Buzz Worth Sentiments stamped with (Simon Says) goldenlocks hybrid ink, I stamped the sentiment from Verve which is now out of business. All the stamped image were attached with a foam dimensionals.

Products: The Greetery stamps and dies, Verve stamp, Doodlebug dp, Altenew, Concord &9th and PTI ink

I stamped images from the Reverse Confetti Happy Bee Day (no longer in business) including the honey jar, topper, dipper, bee and floral cluster, cut out with the matching dies and colored with Copic markers. The Verve Proverbs 16:24 was stamped onto a tag cut with the Paper Trey Ink Charming Tags 1 set. For the background, the The Greetery Honeycomb Corners Dies were cut from a white cardstock panel, then backed with a bright buttercup cardstock piece. All the images along with a flourish snippet from my die cut stash were attached with foam dimensionals. The sentiment is also from Verve which,  sadly, is no longer in business.

Products: Reverse Confetti stamps and dies, PTI linen cs, The Greetery and PTI dies, Altenew ink, Copic Markers
Copics: Jar-Y21, Y15, BG70, BG10; Jar Topper-BG01, BG02, BG05, RV21, RV17; Honey Dipper-E30, E33, E50; Bee-Y13, N3, N5, B0000, B000; Flower Cluster-Y00, Y13, RV21, RV06, RV17, YG01, YG03

These two cards represent cards #16 and #17 of my bundle of 25 (because I found 12 cards in my stash that fit the scripture requirement).

HoHoHo

It may be a gazillion degrees out there but I have a Christmas card for you today. Maybe thinking of a cold time of year will help me forget the extreme heat.

I combined images from Reverse Confetti Jolly Holiday and Bearing Gifts which appear to both be retired although they may be available in other online shops. All were stamped onto Copic friendly cardstock, cut out with the matching dies and colored with Copic markers with the exception of the sentiment bubble which was stamped using gala red ink. I cut a stitched circle from dark gray cardstock and patterned paper, then stamped the snow flakes using Versamark ink and white heat embossed. The images were attached with a bit of glue (trees) and the rest with foam dimensionals.

Products: Reverse Confetti stamps and dies, Memory Box dp, Simon Says and PTI cs, Nuvo Crystal Drops, Altenew and Versamark ink, Copic Markers
Copics: Santa-E000, E00, E01, E11, C00, C1, R22, R24, R27, T3, T5, T7; Reindeer-E50, E51, E53, E21, E23, R22, R24, R27, YG01, YG13; Trees-YG41, YG45, E31, E35

With Love & Joy

Me again. Today's card is (hopefully) already in the hands of the recipient.

I stamped a bunch of the Reverse Confetti Triangle Trees and cut with the matching die several months ago. I think these are the last of that group. I combined them with some older Reverse Confetti products, Circles 'n Scallops and Let it Snow (snowflakes). I stamped the sentiment around the scallop separating with a red jewel for a clean and simple card.

'Tis the Season

Good morning. We are getting down to the wire for the big day. You will see postings this week but all have been set up to post automatically so I can enjoy the holidays with a little less stress.

I stamped and colored the beribboned bell from the Reverse Confetti Joys of the Season and cut out with the matching die. I added a couple of stems from the same set slipped underneath before attaching to the diecut piece which was cut with die. I kept the card base simple with a border of patterned paper and a strip of metallic cardstock for a bit of sparkle. After stamping the sentiment from the Seasonal Say It All set to a plain white rectangle using Hawaiian shores ink, I attached the image to it with a layer of craft foam, then attached it to the background piece also using a layer of craft foam.

Copics: Bell-T0, T1, T3, T5; Ribbon-BG70, BG11, BG15, BG72, BG75

O Christmas Tree

I took a break from design team projects to create some Christmas cards for challenges this weekend.

This one was a breeze to put together since I already had the trees from the Reverse Confetti Triangle Trees set stamped and cut out with the matching die. And I had the holly image from the Joys of the Season set stamped, cut with the matching die and colored during the August #thedailymarker30day challenge. I spied the scalloped circle frame in my extra pieces bag and it provided an anchor for the other pieces. The sentiment was stamped directly onto the panel and I added a trio of tiny red jewels to add a bit of sparkle.

Products: Reverse Confetti stamps and dies, PTI cs, The Cat's Pajamas die, Oriental Trading Co. jewels, Altenew, Concord & 9th and PTI ink, Copic Markers
 Copics: Holly Leaves-YG01, YG03, YG06; Berries-R21, R24, R27

The bow image came from the Lantern Additions set and was also cut out with the matching dieTo prepare the background I stamped the Papertrey Ink Rustic Brick Background onto a linen cardstock rectangle using with rocky slope ink. I added a frame cut from patterned paper using a die from the Stitched Note & Frames set and adhered to the card base. Wishing You the Joys of the Season

I am on a Christmas card roll these days so I am really hoping that I have plenty ready to mail the beginning of December. It certainly helps that I colored the image back during the August  #thedailymarker30day challenge.

The main image came from the Reverse Confetti Joys of the Season set which was cut with the matching die. I placed it on a metallic cardstock circle which was framed with a red diecut from the retired Reverse Confetti Wreath set. The sentiment was stamped with silvery shimmer ink for a bit more sparkle and I added a patterned paper strip at the bottom.

Products: Reverse Confetti stamps and dies, Catherine Pooler dp, PTI cs, Recollections Metallic cs, Altenew and Delicata ink, Copic Markers

It's the Moose Wonderful Time of the Year

This mornings tag based card is for two challenges, the 25 Days of Christmas Tags (Day 10) and the Reverse Confetti November Stock Your Stash Challenge

I was inspired by this cute tag by Lindsey Larsen. I used the Stitched Hex Tag dies to cut from two different patterned papers. The moose from the Merry Christmoose set was stamped onto Copic friendly cardstock, then cut with the matching die and colored with Copic markers. The tree from the same die set was cut from patterned paper and the trio of small snowflakes from cardstock with gala red ink. The larger of images were attached with foam dimensionals and I finished the tag with hemptique cord and placed the snowflake trio on the moose antlers. I used the Stitched Burst Cover Panel on the white linen background panel, then stamped the sentiment in gala red.

Products: Reverse Confetti stamps and dies, Avery Elle dp, PTI cs, Hemptique twine, Wplus9 and Altenew ink, Copic Markers
Copics: W00, W1, W2, W5, E30, E31, E33, R20

Peace on Earth

Hello. I have a Christmas for today's post.

After stamping an angel from the Reverse Confetti Joyous Holiday stamp set and cutting out with the matching die, I colored with Copic Markers. The star was from the set was stamped with golden glitz ink and also cut out with the matching die. I also used a gold gel pen on each of the diecuts. I used the Inside Scallop Circle Tag to cut from gold metallic cardstock. This started out being a shaker card but then I decided I did not want to cover up the pretty angel themed patterned paper. The sentiment was stamped onto a tag cut with a die from the Three Tags set. I added the small star diecut to it, then tied to the circle tag with gold metallic thread. The circle tag was then attached to the cardstock and patterned paper background using foam dimensionals.

Products: Reverse Confetti stamps and dies, Echo Park dp, Bazzill, Michael's and PTI cs, Delicata and Altenew ink
Copics: Skin-E0000, E00, E01; Hair-E30, E33, E35; Dress-W00, E84; Wings-W00, E81

God Made Rainbows

I have another card to be sent to someone who needs hope and cheer during this stressful time in our lives.

I started with the Reverse Confetti Scallop Window Tag which I used to cut diagonally from rainbow colored paper from the Cheerful & Kind pad. I created a window by using the scalloped center portion of the die, then stamped the sentiment from the Perfect Timing set onto white cardstock, then layered it with the rainbow tag. I used marigold twine to tie a bow in the tag hole. For the border I adhered more patterned paper from the same pad along the bottom of the card front. Finally I added a small circle to represent the sun behind a cloud cut with a die from The Cat's Pajamas Stitched Clouds set.

Products: Reverse Confetti stamps and dies, Reverse Confetti dp, PTI cs, The Twinery twine, The Cat's Pajamas die, Altenew ink

We are all in this together!

You are Not Alone

I have had these two images from the Reverse Confetti Butterfly Blossoms set stamped and cut with the matching dies for quite a while so I thought it time I used them on a card.

After coloring the images with Copic markers, I prepared an image panel by embossing a linen cardstock piece with the Stitched Burst Cover Panel. I then stamped the sentiment onto another linen cardstock piece cut with a die from the Lacy Scallop Circles which I matted with simply chartreuse circle.

Products: Reverse Confetti stamps and dies, PTI cs, Altenew ink, Copic Markers
Copics: Butterfly Inner Wings-BG000, BG01, BG02; Butterfly Outer Wings-YR30, YR31, N1, N3; Florals-RV10, RV11, RV13, Y000, Y11, Y15 Y17; Greenery-YG01, YG03, YG25

Encouragement/Inspirational Valentines Tags

I hope everyone is having a great Valentines weekend. Today I am sharing some encouragement/inspirational type Valentines tags I created for a special group of women in a ministry I am involved with. No doubt I enjoy creating but for this occasion I have to ask myself, am I doing this for God's glory or my own? Definitely something to ponder but in the meantime I guess I will just keep creating until I figure it out.

In order to complete in the least amount of time, I spent one afternoon stamping, diecutting (no time for fussy cutting) and coloring the images with Copic markers. The stamped and diecut images came from the Reverse Confetti Huggable set and matching dies, Birdie Buddies set and diesMiso Happy set and dies and Mama Elephant Fuzzy Hugs and dies. The next afternoon, I cut all the tags from white cardstock limiting myself to the same My Favorite Things Gift Tag die set. The tag hole reinforcements were all cut from the same red cardstock and I added a bit of patterned paper for each tag also limiting myself to three different pads. Sentiments and images were added from the above sets as well as the Reverse Confetti Word Up, Mama Elephant Mini Messages and Technique Tuesday Planner stamps.

Products: Reverse Confetti, Mama Elephant and dies, Technique Tuesday stamps, Reverse Confetti, Studio Calico and Illustrated Faith dp, Doodlebug enamel hearts, Divine Twine, My Favorite Things die, Altenew and PTI ink, Copic Markers

Before adding the images with foam dots, I stamped the back of each tag with a bible verse or inspiration message using stamps from Reverse Confetti, Papertrey Ink, Rubbernecker, Joy Clair and Verve (retired). These tags were attached to a single long stemmed rose.

I am submitting the Reverse Confetti tags to the February Stock Your Stash Challenge.

Have a great rest of the weekend!
