Merry Wishes

Good morning stamping friends. Today's card was created for the Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge #9 to include candy or cookie. I managed to include both.

After stamping the images from the
Lawn Fawn Thanks a Latte set I cut out with the matching dies and colored with Copic markers. I also did the same for the gingerbread cookie from the Oh Snap stamp and die set. To prepare the background i stamped the Picket Fence Studios Brick Wall image onto a linen cardstock piece using soft stone ink, added a patterned paper border at the bottom, then cut out with a die from The Greetery Nordic Frames. After all the images were attached to the card front using foam dimensionals, I stamped the sentiment and flourish from the Lawn Fawn Tiny Tag Sayings set using cherry kisses ink.

A Caffeine Christmas

Today's card was created for the Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge #8 to include cute critters.

I have had the Lawn Fawn Woodland Critter Huggers and Woodland Critter Huggers Winter Add-Ons die sets for a while now but never managed to use them. This challenge gave me the impetus to open them out of their packages. Foxes are just so darn cute so that is the critter I decided on. I cut the various pieces from cardstock and patterned paper and the assembly was easily accomplished. I attached the assembled fox to a subtle patterned paper background, then added a snowy bank onto which I stamped the sentiment from the Lawn Fawn Christmas Dreams set using tropic teal ink. I partially slipped a layered snowflake underneath the fox which were cut with dies from the Lawn Fawn Stitched Snowflakes set.

Products: Lawn Fawn stamps and dies, Carta Bella dp, PTI and MFT cs, The Stamp Market ink

Have a blessed week.

Warm Holiday Greetings

I am guest designing for the Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge #3 today.

The theme is: Coffee/Tea+Green and runs March 1 - March 25. You must link up a newly created Christmas themed card featuring coffee or tea plus the color green in your design. Please also include the graphic above in your post and link back to the challenge post.

For my card I created a shaker cup using the Lawn Fawn Stitched Mug Frame with a green parakeet front and backed with sweet patterned paper. I filled it up with bits and bobs from The Greetery one of which is no longer in stock. The spoon was cut from white cardstock twice for stability with a bit of soft stone ink blended on the edges. More embellishments were added to the spoon. The candy canes were cut from textured cardstock and patterned paper using dies from the Lawn Fawn Woodland Critter Huggers Winter Add-On set. The sentiment from the Simon Says Tiny Words Christmas set was stamped in gala red on a small cardstock strip.

Products: Simon Says stamp, Lawn Fawn dies, Doodlebug dp, PTI cs, The Greetery clay pieces, WPlus9 ink

The prize is a $30 Newton's Nook Gift Code so get busy creating!

Christmas Dreams

I am still working on Christmas cards as I am seriously short this year.

I combined three Lawn Fawn stamp/die combo sets, Happy Howlidays (retired), Christmas Dreams and Hay There for the various Christmas icon, animal and farm images which were all colored with Copic Markers after diecutting. I used the Stitched Portrait Hillside Backdrop die to cut white linen cardstock and a backing piece for the opening from watercolor paper. I cut a small circle from printer paper to create a mask for the moon on the watercolor piece, then blended three shades of blue for the night sky. I then stamped Santa and reindeers along with the sentiment from the Winter Skies set and attached the colored images using foam dots.

Products: Lawn Fawn stamps and dies, PTI and Master's Touch cs, Altenew, MFT, PTI and Ranger Distress ink, Copic Markers
Copics: Barn-R20, R22, R24, R27, C00, C1, Y21, Y26; Fences-E30, E33, E35; Lights-YG01, YG03, R22, R24; Dog-N1, N3, N5, W00; Bone-E81, R22, R24; Cat-C00, C1, C3; Fish-YG61, YG63, R22, R24; Horse-W00, E81, E50, E51, E53, E42, R20, R22, R24, R27

Santa dropped off his gifts for the horse (hay and oats in the barn), a bone for the dog and a fish for the kitty and it's on to the next farm.

I am submitting this to the Lawn Fawnatics #66 Challenge with a theme of Happy Little Holiday Critters.

After coloring all the images with Copic Markers I fussy cut out. I attached to the background panel using foam tape to create the beach scene and stamped the sentiment below.

Shut the Front Door

Today's Christmas card is for another dog lover on my list.

After stamping the images from the Lawn Fawn Christmas Dreams set I cut them out with the matching dies and then colored with Copic Markers.  I used the Lawn Fawn Shut the Front Door die set cutting the door from patterned paper and the porch from card stock. I added the "brass" lock set cut from gold metallic card stock topped with a pearl for the doorknob. I then used stitched rectangles dies to cut out the "house" with patterned paper and then cut an opening for the door. You Warm My Heart

I have another Christmas tag for the 25 Day of Christmas Tags challenge that I have also placed on a card.

I was inspired by Elena's Day 12 tag. I loved the subtle colors with the punch of red and of course the sweet critter images.

I had a hard time deciding on a set but finally selected Lawn Fawn Snow Day since I had not used in a while. Those bunnies are just too cute anyway. I stamped the images, cut out with the matching dies and then colored with Copic markers. After cutting the tag from white cardstock using the Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Duo 1 die, I stamped a heart using soft stone ink and the sentiment over it plus the small hearts and snowflake using pure poppy ink. I created a snow bank with a scalloped edge die and attached with foam tape. After adhering the animal images, I tied gray and white twine in the tag hole.

To balance out the subtle colors in the tag, I decided to make a colorful background for it using fired brick and festive berries distress ink and water onto watercolor cardstock. After the panel dried I cut it with a wonky stitched die and added the completed tag.

Products: Lawn Fawn stamps and dies, Ranger, PTI and Neenah cs, Divine Twine, MFT, Pretty Pink Posh and Simon Says dies, Ranger Distress, PTI and MFT ink, Copic Markers
Copics: C00, C1, C3, R20, R22, R24, R27

Sweet Wishes

I have yet another Christmas card today that I created for the current (and last!) Lawnscaping #144 Challenge

This card is one of those that has languished in my in progress bag for a while. It took a major need for Christmas cards and the challenge to get it finished. The two gingerbread cookies from the Oh Snap set were cut out using the matching dies and then colored with Copic markers. I placed them onto to a cookie sheet than I cut from metallic cardstock using the Verve Rounded Rectangle die and then scored it on the two short sides. After cutting out the patterned paper tag using a die from the Paper Smooches Gift Tags 2 dies, I attached the cookie sheet piece to it. I cut out a small tag using a die from the Tiny Tags die set, then stamped the sentiment from the Milk and Cookies stamp set using schoolhouse red ink. After tying the small tag onto the larger tag using twine, the whole piece was secured to the card background.

Products: Lawn Fawn stamps and dies, MFT metallic cs, PTI cs, Hemptique twine, Paper Smooches and Verve dies, Simon Says and Memento ink, Copic Markers
Copics: E50, E51,E53, E55, E57, R24

Lots of activity around here as I am sure it is at your house. Thanks for stopping by.

Dachshund Through the Snow

Good morning. I hope all my USA readers had a Happy Thanksgiving. I had a delicious dinner with my aunt, sister and her family in my hometown. Unfortunately my husband had to stay home because he has a very bad cold and he didn't want to pass along his sickies.

I created a background by brushing on a soft color wash of Tumbled Glass distress ink onto a water color cardstock rectangle cut with a stitched die. A snowy hill was created with the combination of a die from the Simon Says Wavy Scallop Stitches set and the same stitched rectangle die and attached to the watercolor panel with foam tape. Snowflakes were stamped with aqua mist ink and the dog paws with stormy sea ink. The sentiment from the Lawn Fawn Happy Howlidays set was stamped directly onto the background panel using pure poppy and Black ink. I then stamped out cut out the dog, Christmas lights and reindeer hat from the Happy Howlidays set and colored with Copic markers. The tree from the Lawn Fawn Snow Day was stamped with green parakeet ink and cut out with the matching die. All the images were attached with foam tape for dimension. The panel was attached to a patterned paper background and twine tied around the top of the card finished it up.

Products: Lawn Fawn stamps and dies, Lawn Fawn dp, PTI, Ranger Watercolor and Bazzill cs, The Twinery Twine, Simon Says MFT dies, Ranger Distress, MFT, PTI and Simon Says ink, Copic Markers
Copics: Dog-E40, E41, E42, E44; Antlers-E40, E41, E42, E44, W00, W1, W2; Lights-YG0000, YG01, YG23, R20, R27

I am not a Black Friday shopper except for a bit of internet shopping. I will be spending the day decorating for Christmas instead. Thanks for stopping by.

Today's card features images from the Lawn Fawn Happy Howlidays set which was a Stamptember set for Simon Says.

I prepared the background by using a stitched die to cut out a circle on the card front and then backed the cutout with patterned paper. The sentiment and paws were stamped in pure poppy and Black ink. After adhering a strip of patterned paper I attached the stamped images using foam tape.

Products: Lawn Fawn stamps and dies, Lawn Fawn dp, Neenah and PTI cs, Lil Inker Designs die, MFT, PTI and Simon Says ink, Copic Markers

Christmas Gift Tags

Today's gift tags are for the Lawnscaping Challenge: Tag It (#119). I don't make handmade tags for every gift under the tree but I do try to create at least one for each family member. These are three of many more to go.

I cut each tag from plain white cardstock and then layered with patterned paper from the older Lawn Fawn Peace Love Joy pad and a "snow bank" cut from Neenah cardstock. Each tag was finished with a layered and popped up snowflake cut with the Stitched Snowflake Lawn Cuts and twine inserted in the tag holes.

For tag #1, I stamped and cut the penguin from the Winter Penguin mini stamp set and matching Winter Penguin Lawn Cuts. I stamped the heart swirl directly onto the "snow" and attached the image with foam tape.

For tag #2, I stamped and cut the bird, tree and heart from the Snow Day set and cut out with the matching Snow Day Lawn Cuts.. The bird was colored with Copic markers and then I attached the images with foam tape.

For tag #3, I stamped and cut the penguin and snowball from the Toboggan Together set and matching Toboggan Together Lawn Cuts.  I stamped the snowballs directly onto the "snow" and then attached the images with foam tape.

Products: Lawn Fawn stamps, dies and dp, PTI and Neenah cs, Divine Twine, Simon Says and Paper Smooches dies, Memento and MFT inks, Copic Makers
Copics: W00, E81, N1, N3, N5, YR30, YR31, R22, R24, R27

Joyful Wishes

Today's card is for the current Lawnscaping In With the Old Challenge.

Back in October for The Daily Marker 30 Day challenge, I colored up the cute penguin and santa hat from the Lawn Fawn Toboggan Together set and cut out with the matching Toboggan Together Lawn Cuts. To put these to work on a card, I used a square Spellbinders Nestie to cut from blue Recollections cardstock and combined it with a die from Simon Says to create the snow bank.  I used a Heidi Swapp stencil and Golden Fiber Paste to create the snowfall, sprinkling with Polar White Flower Soft before it dried. I stamped the bench, lamp post and bench snow from the Winter in the Park set, using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then cut out with the matching Winter in the Park Lawn Cuts. I attached the assembled image panel onto a patterned paper background using craft foam. After stamping the sentiment from the Joy to the Woods set using Ranger Archival Vermillion ink, I slipped the label shape underneath the image and added a scattering of Doodlebug enamel dots. The "into the old" part of the challenge includes the Winter in the Park stamp set, the Heidi Swapp stencil and Flower Soft.

Products: Lawn Fawn stamps, dies and dp, Recollections and PTI cs, Doodlebug enamel dots, Golden Fiber Paste, Heidi Swapp stencil, Flower Soft, Spellbinders Nestabilities, Simon Says die, Memento and Ranger Archival inks, Copic Markers

Have a fabulous and safe Thanksgiving if you are here in the states.

Boo to You

Today's card is my last Halloween project for this year.

After stamping the two pumpkins, leaf and curly vine from the Lawn Fawn So Thankful set I cut out with the matching So Thankful Lawn Cuts and colored with Copic Markers. I used a Lil Inker Designs stitched mat to cut a circle from patterned paper and a layer of craft foam. The cutout was backed with more patterned paper and I placed the two pumpkins inside the circle and then attached the piece to the card base. The ghosts were cut using the Memory Box Swirling Ghosts die. The sentiment from the Reverse Confetti Spooky Sentiments was stamped directly onto the background piece and I added a few sequins for simple embellishments.

Merry and Bright

I am really mixing up my holidays these days. I seem to alternate between Halloween and Christmas, two holidays that couldn't possibly be more different!

I first stamped the doodle frame from the Lawn Fawn Sweater Weather set with Black ink onto a white cardstock rectangle cut with a Lil Inker Designs Stitched Mat. I then used the matching die from the Sweater Weather Lawn Cuts to emboss the frame. I then stamped the tree using Sour Apple ink and the bunny (both from the Lawn Fawn Snow Day set) onto Copics X-Press It cardstock and cut both out using the matching Snow Day Lawn Cuts. After coloring the bunny with Copic Markers, I attached both to the frame using craft foam which I also cut with the matching dies. The sentiment was stamped directly to the panel with Vermillion ink. After attaching the matted panel to the card base I added a few jewels and tied lime green cording on the side.

Happy Boo Day!

Today's Halloween card is for the ColourQ (cQc #312) Challenge.

I stamped the largest pumpkin from the Lawn Fawn So Thankful set, cut out with the matching So Thankful die and then colored with Copic Markers. I cut the tag from a Reverse Confetti Quick Panel card using the Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Duo 3 die. The sentiment was already printed on the card. I added a piece cut with a die from the Papertrey Ink Tag Sale #8 and a small strip both from the Glitz Design Raven pad from a couple of years ago. It is still one of my favorite Halloween paper pads. I added a couple of ghosts cut with the Memory Box Swirling Ghosts Die and then sponged around the edges with Soft Stone ink. After wrapping black Hemptique cord around the tag, I added the ghosts and pumpkin images using foam tape. The tag was attached to the patterned paper background with craft foam.
